All My Summons Become Divine Girls

Chapter 392: The Forest Remembers

Eirwen opened her Zone while the Royal Collector uprooted the orchard around her. Twelve Shards entered living soil, and every surviving root became part of The Forest Remembers.

The network stored pressure instead of preventing it while each obsidian strike, burned branch, and severed root entered the answer Eirwen prepared through her own pathways.

"Keep it touching the ground," Eirwen said, raising her bow, "the orchard cannot answer what refuses every root."

Hajin held the Legendary Chain around the Collector’s waist through five Rings. Loccy drove both palms against its chest, forcing one foot beneath the torn soil.

Juna cut every boundary seam appearing above the creature, denying it an easy route into the empty sky while the Collector opened a black line through Loccy’s shoulder.

She twisted before the closing edge removed her arm, yet obsidian pressure tore blood across her armor. Vella reached Loccy through the Spirit Ring and stopped the bleeding without closing the wound across hostile residue.

Vella marked the boundary frequency for later removal, then withdrew before Spirit mana became another path into Hajin. Loccy returned both hands to the Collector, carrying pain without pretending treatment had erased it.

That attack also entered the roots, so Eirwen’s pathways burned brighter with every stored injury because the Zone required her to carry the living network’s memory until release.

No repeated use would remain afterward as Aria said within Hajin’s thoughts, "Capacity seventy-three percent, and further root loss increases the answer and backlash through Eirwen."

The Royal Collector raised both claws and pulled downward as half the orchard collapsed, silverwood trunks split, garden walls sank, roots ripped from the ancient foundation.

Hajin’s Chain stretched around the crossing body while Loccy lost her footing beneath flying soil. Juna cut a falling trunk away from Eirwen, but left its rooted half inside the Zone.

The dying wood still carried the Collector’s pressure and therefore belonged to the stored answer. Ferra dragged the severed crown beyond the firing line before its branches obscured the ridge.

Didi held the evacuated gates closed against the shock wave. Her refusal prevented the Collector from using any royal latch as a replacement route when the orchard foundation broke.

Eirwen reached full capacity as one arrow formed between her fingers, carrying every assault stored inside the surviving roots while she drew the bow despite silver fractures spreading across her arms.

Eirwen held the arrow beyond the empty ridge and said, "Release the left side."

Hajin loosened one Chain turn while Loccy dropped beneath the expected line and Juna cleared the empty ridge beyond the palace wall.

Eirwen fired as the complete answer crossed the orchard in one silverwood arrow, returning the Collector’s burned roots, crushed soil, severed branches plus boundary pressure through the body that caused them.

The shot cut obsidian armor from shoulder to hip, drove both divided halves through the outer wall into the empty ridge while the silver line crossed ground Juna had verified empty before stopping at the nearest occupied road.

Every leaf remaining in the orchard turned gray after release. Eirwen staggered when the network emptied, yet kept her bow raised until both severed halves landed beyond the wall.

No second arrow remained as Eirwen’s twelve Shards rose from ruined soil while her pathways dimmed to empty silver lines.

Hajin followed the separated body before its boundary key could close. The Legendary Chain wrapped both halves across the ridge, and five Rings forced them apart when black routes attempted reconnection.

"Crossing body severed," Aria said, marking the split across the empty ground, "distant core remains beyond the open boundary, and reconstruction has begun."

Hajin drove Aegis between the halves to prevent their boundary lines from touching while the upper body attempted to fold around the barrier and the lower body opened shallow routes beneath the soil.

Loccy crushed those routes physically before their edges could reconnect behind him. Juna cut rebuilt lines whenever they rose above the ridge, and every successful interruption lasted only moments.

The effort bought Cessy time rather than damaging the true body. Obsidian lines grew between the halves, because the Collector possessed no ordinary anatomy and every plate returned wherever the distant core remembered it.

Cessy’s voice reached them through the protected mirror channel as she said, "The route rebuilds the body below, and I can preserve the opening for extraction data or sever it before the claimant sends more mass."

"Sever it," Hajin replied, holding both halves, "we do not trade this battlefield for better intelligence."

Lucan appeared behind her in the dim mirror and said, "A closed route registers as agent interference, but Dominion contamination remains the only report category likely to delay an immediate audit."

Cessy placed one hand into the boundary controls under the team’s continuing observation. Black audit symbols appeared around her wrist within the limits they had verified.

Lucan removed two with his own authorization and left the third visible, creating a record that someone had attempted regulation before the route failed, but neither action made them allies.

The choice made their coming explanation more likely to survive, so Cessy said, "Then report Dominion interference, because I am cutting the crossing."

The Royal Collector’s upper half turned toward the mirror. "Agent deviation recorded," it said, extending one rebuilding claw toward Cessy’s image, "correction will follow return."

Lucan closed the second route behind her, and his movement prevented the Collector’s command from reaching Cessy, though his expression offered Hajin no loyalty.

"Primary line severed," Lucan said, "we leave before the report window closes."

Cessy sent the remaining route key into the orchard’s dead soil. Black light folded around both Collector halves while Hajin kept them separated from Didi.

The creature looked toward her across the ridge and said, "Royal blood remains collectable, and refusal increases assigned penalty."

Didi stood beside the broken wall with frost covering one bleeding palm and said, "Tell whoever assigned me that Gazel still stands between us, but you simply cannot see where."

The Collector turned toward Hajin as the boundary collapsed. "Harvest order approaches," it said, "the rebuilt vessel will not remain exempt."

Both obsidian halves vanished beyond the closing route as the black key broke into dust before it touched the ridge, and no experience receipt appeared.

Hajin closed five Rings and stored the Chain as the spent bracer fell apart around his right forearm, its one distributed backlash consumed during the battle.

Vella crossed the ruined orchard toward Eirwen, then stopped at the elf’s raised hand as the Alder witnesses entered only after Juna confirmed every hostile route had closed.

They counted living roots, recorded the burned pathways across Eirwen’s arms, and sealed the Zone as exhausted while the orchard required years to regrow, with Eirwen needing ordinary recovery before any large answer could be attempted.

"The roots returned everything," Eirwen said, breathing through pathway burns, "healing would force circulation through channels that must empty naturally."

Vella changed her treatment to damp cloth and mundane support. She recorded the Zone as unavailable rather than promising a recovery hour nobody could guarantee.

Didi found the preserved blood sample inside Vella’s protective current as the ownership mark remained attached, but its response grammar had been proven under genuine retaliation.

Cessy’s mirror faded as Lucan carried both agents away from the approaching audit, and Didi said while watching the empty surface, "She betrayed them."

"She severed one route," Hajin replied, "we do not turn that decision into allegiance she never offered."

The orchard had spent its living answer, the Royal Collector remained alive, and the child still waited beneath the foundation as Hajin looked toward the frequency Aria preserved.

Their rescue clock had survived, but the Underworld now knew exactly where to send the next harvest order. The only advantage left was that the team knew what the first Collector would try to claim.

Hajin ordered the empty orchard sealed under ordinary barriers before anyone began clearing the dead soil while the Collector left no living body behind, but its route had touched enough roots to make every surviving branch part of the evidence.

Didi kept the blood sample inside Vella’s protection while Eirwen’s witnesses carried the exhausted Zone record back to the palace. No one called the forest a victory, because the answer had spent itself to force one enemy away.

The child remained beneath the foundation, the Sanctuary remained untested, and the next claim would arrive knowing exactly how Didi’s refusal answered.
