Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items

Chapter 72: Awakening Gene Skill

[Congratulations! You have gained a new gene skill: Asura Second Pair Hands — The Fists of Tide.]

Essence surged in Seth’s body for a minute. Then Seth was half-expecting to grow a new pair of limbs.

After all, that was the image of an Asura he had in his head. But of course, he was wrong.

The ancient King Asura was human. Just because time and the context of his feats had demonized him didn’t change the fact that he was human.

A new pair of arms simmered into existence, an ethereal blue glow illuminating his surroundings.

But these arms didn’t sprout from his ribs. No, they weren’t attached to a limb — they merely existed like a pair of faith-forged mythic gauntlets.

He clenched and unclenched. The feeling came so naturally.

He controlled the limbs with as much efficiency as he controlled his own actual hands.

And fortunately, his intelligence was high enough to handle the feedback of controlling both sets of arms at once.

[Gene Skill: Fists of Tide (Monarch Grade!)]

Details: The Asura gains a new arm on each evolution. You have just claimed your second!

Effects:

- Tide — Each attack builds momentum, allowing speed and strength to increase with each wave. (Maximum output: 1000%)

- Overwhelm — After activating Tide to the limit, tides of power can be compressed to the absolute limit, unleashing a 100% sure-hit critical strike.

- Disperse — Any attack hindered by the Fists of Tide will have its force dissipated into the surroundings.

- Wave — A seven-hit combo attack, with the last strike carrying the unrelenting force of a city-sinking tsunami. (Warning: use with caution — current essence cannot withstand the trigger.)

The fists simmered brightly in the air as they fully materialized into runic, metallic, mythical gauntlets.

But they were fully connected to his mind, and he could manipulate them just like an extra pair of hands.

With this pair of hands, his fists could even be used for long-range attacks.

The two arms whisked through the air, a sapphire hue coating them, as he erupted with full force — the effect Tide!

Two strikes landed upon the metallic surface of the Boss Dile Beast’s scales, leaving not even a scratch.

But Seth didn’t care. The pair of hands unleashed a barrage, and he himself didn’t halt, already throwing himself at the creature.

His lance punctured forth with its deadly mass, slamming deep into the creature’s jaws. Its head reeled.

The massive monster caught itself, muscles tensing as its bony spiked tail swung.

He could feel the buildup of power from his Tide arms, but he had to give that up. They halted their barrage, the momentum force dissipating into the wind.

Their streak dashed to catch the tail mid-swing. The atrocious force carried by the creature’s tail was instantly funneled into the atmosphere, its strength dying.

And Seth’s main body never once halted. The lance in his hands twirled and struck forward straight against the monster’s exposed underbelly.

Stinging forward, swift and accurate like the tail of a scorpion.

This time, even the monster couldn’t escape fate. Its hard shell had protected it from the lance’s overbearing mass.

But now that Seth had aimed for a more tender surface, his lance dug straight through, unimpeded.

A torrent of essence ripped forth, and a gaping hole was torn into the Boss Beast.

Huff! Huff! Huff!

Seth’s chest rose and fell, misty clouds exhaling from his mouth and nostrils.

Blood baptized his body as the creature slowly went stiff from complete loss of vitality.

[Congratulations! You have slain Awakened Rank Boss Monster ’Black Scaled Stalker!’]

[You grow stronger...]

[+9 Speed | +13 Defense | +4 Strength]

A revitalizing chill spread through his body as ethereal force seeped into his cells, making him stronger.

Seth stared at the sky. The sun had long dipped, leaving a starless, pitch-black night in its place.

If the Dai had cared about Seth’s well-being, they would have warned him that coming out of the settlement at the time he did was nothing short of suicide.

After all, peak Leader Grades — heck, even Noble Grades — couldn’t survive under the furious assault of the Night Hoard.

But Seth’s eyes remained placid and calm, unaffected by fear, unbothered that he was still out late at night.

The truth was that he knew what he was doing. In fact, he had accounted for this the moment he decided he needed to get stronger.

The Rangol race trio had warned Seth about the Night Hoard, and back then he assured them he understood the danger.

Even now, he still understood the danger. But he was here anyway.

That was because he had certain conjectures — something he had to confirm.

And if he did, it would be a great boon for the human race.

As a matter of fact, right now he wasn’t planning on facing the Night Hoard alone.

He couldn’t be the only beneficiary of this.

He wanted to go back to Earth, help his friends ascend, and bring them back to the Origin to face this with him.

’I mean... it should be possible, right?’ Seth’s eyes flashed as he pondered the workings of his plan.

It was simple. He wanted to use his will as a link. Since the four others weren’t Awakened yet, it would be even easier.

He could tether them to himself, binding their will to his, then use himself as a bridge when they were summoned into the Origin Realm so that they could appear here.

If not ascending to the Origin, you’d spawn into any location randomly.

Now then, there was the second problem he had to solve. How could he get to his friends’ location so quickly and get back in time for the Hoard?

One had to remember each safe zone was located across miles of distance.

So how could he bridge this so quickly? And then there were those damned elders he had to take care of.

’My speed should do.’ His eyes flashed as he stared at his Speed stat.

[Speed: 41]

This might seem low, but that was in the Origin Realm. On Earth, as an Awakened, Seth could be considered the fastest man alive.

And even incomplete corruption zones wouldn’t be able to pose much of a hindrance to him.

"Then I just need someone to point out the direction for me

."

Seth decided. He would make quick work of those elders. If he could, then he’d leave to go get his friends...
