Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items

Chapter 376: Charmed Beast Trait

A blue streak tore through the forestlines, buzzing currents flickering around its frame as it tore its way through defileds.

Uriel’s steed neighed vigorously, the astral waves billowing from the mount’s frame forming into an astral path that helped it trample through space faster.

His dark brown hair flowed beneath his helmet, as he rode forth with cold efficiency, the lance in his grip tearing into foes left and right skewering all in its wake with a deadly pulse of energy.

Uriel’s eyes glowed bright, as he could feel the thick waves of energy flowing through his veins.

The sky began to resonate in response to his presence.

His stats had improved by so much, he didn’t even need to activate Void Overdrive and he could already easily dispose of defileds.

Though he couldn’t be certain until he faced one, but Uriel felt confident in his current chances against a charmed beast.

The currents burned around his frame as he bolted forward, a distinct presence looming from the surroundings all at once.

The terrifying formless presence coiled around his frame in streams, and his vision began to go hazy.

"Huh?" Uriel’s mind blanked.

His mind lured into a daze until the mental current reached his mind, and Uriel didn’t even make an attempt to resist.

Suddenly a sharp pain snapped him out of it, the mental snare digging into his soul, he gnashed his teeth from discomfort.

His mouth was bleeding as he had to bite on his tongue to jolt himself out of whatever that was.

Uriel’s heart lurched as he pulled on the reins of his mount, causing it to draw an evasive curve suddenly changing direction.

The mental, almost psychic, energy-like tentacles dug harder against the outer shell of what he perceived to be his soul...

He gnashed his teeth, blood leaking from the edges, as blue waves rippled in the depths of his eyes.

His essence pathways flaring to life brilliantly, the sky groaned and grumbled, lightning-pregnant clouds swirling into a mega-storm.

Thick bolts of pure, concentrated, supercharged plasma burned down from the skies, the atmosphere alive with static hums.

All currents of the skies churned as the world energy concentrated in the sky gathered.

If the ancient races were here to witness this they’d be stunned out of their minds.

There were still wild unconfirmed rumors about an undefeatable human soldier who could somehow manipulate world essence spreading wildly.

And here was another human channeling world essence... in a freaking corruption zone no less.

Uriel’s Gene Skill: Sky Ruler Essence.

Allowed him the ability to draw an undefined amount of sky ruler essence from the skies.

And naturally this energy was sourced from world essence.

Though Uriel wasn’t directly manipulating this worldly force, what he had accomplished was an impressive feat nonetheless.

Interacting with world essence was alone enough to earn prestige.

Streams of pure sky ruler essence converged on Uriel, filling his veins with an overwhelming flow.

His legs buckled tighter on the steed, as he let loose the terrifying currents of his energy into the steed.

The combat mount didn’t disappoint, its eyes glowed with a starry sheen, the energy currents coating its frame thickened.

It kicked against the wind, bursting forth with great strides, allowing Uriel to escape right out of the range of that beast.

His frame shifted, tilting far to the left, bursting with a curve that plunged back into attack.

Relief flooded his mind only for a brief moment, clarity sharpening through him.

By this point it couldn’t be more certain, charmed beasts seemed to have a recurring mental ability trait.

All seemingly having a strange, efficient, adept manipulation of the mental spectrum.

It could be understood why these creatures were feared to be so terrifying.

The soul and the mind, these were the core vulnerabilities of most if not all evolvers.

There were little to no means of mental or soul defense.

These were the most vital yet vulnerable spot of most creatures.

And these charmed beasts, it was almost as though they were bred to take advantage of this fatal flaw.

Uriel’s eyes narrowed as he pierced right back into the hidden enemy attack range, after all though he was ahead he wasn’t alone.

As a leading figure he had to fulfill his duty and clear the path of obstacles that were beyond the regular soldiers’ ability to handle.

The other two division leaders were fanned out, one at the rear, one directly leading the group, then there was Uriel who was far ahead.

Lightning crackled, numerous bolts striking down from the sky at once, a thick, brilliant current undulating, billowing out of Uriel’s frame.

Void Overdrive...

The air seemed to snap and clap at the same time as Uriel’s frame burst forward so fast, the sheer friction accumulated in the matter of seconds caused his frame to light ablaze with flames.

Determination surged through him, as his will rippled into the surrounding performing a mental scan.

Though the abyssal essence seemed to press on the waves of his will, he still forced a mental scan on his surroundings that split second, nonetheless.

Thick streams of foreign mental waves lashed at his mind, sending pulsing waves of pain slithering wild in his head.

Veins bulged on his head, as blood arteries ruptured one after another in his brain.

His eyes going red and blood flowing down his nose, but his eyes remained cold and free of pain or fear.

Instead locking into the distance as his mental wave caught feedback, narrowing down on the lurking foe.

Seconds stretched and space warped, his frame zipping through the wind with unbelievable speed, pushing to levels at which sight was rendered useless.

Before one’s mind would be able to process the visual content, they’d be dead.

And that was just what happened here, a pair of venomous violet gazes shone in the dark of the tree lines.

As a coiling shadow lurked, and a skin-crawling hiss slithered in the atmosphere resonating dread.

A mighty charmed beast, but before this beast could process where its prey had vanished to.

Before its heat-sensing tongue could slither out its lips, a blinding flash erupted.

There was no facial reaction nor was there a reaction of any kind, cause there was no time.

Uriel moved so fast, the beast registered its death, before it realized its head had been blasted right into by a current-saturated lance.

And just like that the dangerous mental wave plaguing the atmosphere dissipated and Uriel leaned backwards, sitting on the back of his now stationary steed.

Letting out an exhilarating sigh as his cells buzzed with power as stats flowed into his being.

Glancing at the silent distance, his eyes narrowed, wondering how Seth could be doing... as his steed burst right back into motion, charging into the distance as the wave of humans caught up.
