Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items

Chapter 369: Fury

The rabbit reformed itself from seemingly nothing. But along with this revival came a few changes, it was a bit bigger, its eyes now glowing a deadly crimson.

Seth frowned, he flicked his finger, shooting out a divine-enhanced pebble, and with a streak the projectile tore through the wind and met its target.

And with a sickening splash, its head was straight up obliterated into a splattering mass of blood, meat and brain matter.

Again he had killed the entity so easily, what was the catch here exactly? Seth’s eyes narrowed in wonder.

Observing the rabbit corpse closely, he could clearly see the signs of its head reforming... Seth reached for a few more pieces of rock below, something told him that this would be a long process.

And the moment the beast revived, without hesitation Seth killed it again, then again... Suddenly he sensed movement above, glancing upwards he saw the humanoid plasma form of the variant hovering overhead, an eerie gap of darkness forming a mouth on her face, and from it a voice bellowed.

"It’s useless..." an amused voice echoed. Seth squinted warily, his arm whipping in its direction...

A haunting chuckle reverberated through the area, the shoulders of the floating form shaking in laughter, as it waved its hand dismissively. "Don’t waste the energy, I can’t be harmed, neither can it."

Seth frowned and let loose an arrow, tearing through the plasma form above, ripping a gap in its pulsating body, but doing no further damage, Seth’s smile turned ugly.

Indeed nothing could be simple about this variant...

From his side the rabbit had already reformed, its gaze even more rabid, a horn poking out of its skull as it charged towards Seth, who once again blasted an energy-enhanced pebble, crushing it into paste mid-air.

The plasma figure drifted above shaking its head as it stared down at the gaping hole in its abdomen.

"Who are you?" Seth asked, wearing a tense expression as he pulled back on his bowstring again...

"I told you that is useless against me, as for who I am, I am no one, nothing but a manifestation of fury, and my incarnate is what challenges you."

Seth frowned not understanding what it meant, but he quickly turned blasting the rabbit once more into oblivion.

"You know killing it only makes it stronger, faster, right?" The entity spoke as the bunny reformed from nothing, its presence noticeably stronger.

But Seth didn’t care, his arms whipped, sending out another pebble that blasted into the rabbit, rupturing it into a heap of blood and meat.

"I’ll keep killing it until it can’t come back, I refuse to believe whatever is sustaining its immortality draws from an infinite source."

The drifting humanoid plasma form above burst into laughter, "Indeed, everything is finite, but..." its tone suddenly turning dark, it continued, "I don’t believe you can survive long enough to contest its final form..."

The entity had just barely finished speaking, when suddenly resounding from the void was a savage, guttural roar, as the bunny reassembled its form, only this time it wasn’t so much of a bunny anymore.

Like a spawn of hell, the horned beast emerged from the void, its hair bristling with fury as it charged towards Seth, two dangerously sharp teeth glinting from beneath its snout, as its hind legs propelled it so fast the beast practically hopped through the wind.

Disbelief jolted through Seth, this beast carried enough strength to threaten an early-stage awakener.

Such rapid growth amidst battle... ’Too dangerous.’ he hissed inwardly.

But if it only grew stronger upon death, if he just kept it alive, wouldn’t that do? Seth’s frame burst into a blur, moving to engage the charging monster.

Meanwhile above, the entity saw through Seth’s thought process, its voice echoing in disdainful amusement. "Such shallow thinking. Fury grows endlessly, so does our strength, killing it only helped accelerate its growth."

Seth’s hand clamped down on the thrashing beast, its crimson gaze wild with rabid fury, as it snarled and struggled, all with the aim of trying to maul him.

Seth frowned, not good, the entity was right, he could feel the monster’s strength increasing at a passively high speed.

Seth had to increase his strength output by the second, the monster thrashing furiously, the ground beneath them beginning to strain and crack.

By this point, with the ruckus both parties wrecked, they had already drawn the attention of a few shadow lurkers...

Seth’s eyes were quick to catch the faint undulation from his own shadow, with one hand pinning down the beast and the other holding onto the divine weapon, he had no limb left for a counter.

It was at times like this he could see the benefit of the asura lineage, too bad the multi-arm trait had been assimilated into his human cells.

Leaving him no choice but to retreat...

The moment he came to this conclusion, a beast pounced right out of his own shadow, maws wide and claws unsheathed, the black panther-like defiled.

But Seth, a few steps ahead, was already in an evasive movement, releasing his hold on his opponent, he launched it towards the corrupted while he skipped into the distance in a blur.

Arrow drawn, he cocked his aim towards their direction the moment he caught his balance.

His gaze, gleaming with an entrancing blaze of royal purple, tore through the haze of dust kicked up in his wake.

And he witnessed the corrupted tear the poor creature apart in a heartbeat, and the moment it turned towards Seth he released the arrow without a second thought.

Charged with a baneful amount of divine energy, it didn’t matter that the corrupted had been enhanced by the abyssal descent.

The divine projectile tore through the force of the abyss, struck straight through the skull of the beast, and exited from the other end.

The beast couldn’t even let out a whimper as its corpse collapsed limp to the earth.

And from the surroundings a terrifying force brewed... the creature was being reformed again.

The plasma being smiled deviously, "It’s finally time you feel the true weight of rage."

Just as it finished speaking, the creature reformed, glowing with a brilliance of crimson, instantly bursting into a blur.

"Fast!" Seth scowled, as his pupils constricted... what use was his bow if he couldn’t aim?
