Chapter 30 - Meeting a Queen of prostitution
Once again, Silas stood in front of the building, gathering an immense amount of mana in his hand.
This time, he didn’t knock on the door and waited for Fatty to notice his presence.
Immediately, the door swung open wide and Fatty came out, sweating. He seemed to run across from his room to here.
What a diligent man.
Silas smirked and let out a small chuckle.
Fatty panted and gathered the breath, recovering himself.
"Must you be like this? I am going to have a heart attack." Fatty complained. Sweat formed on his forehead, dripping to the floor.
Silas looked at this with a slight disgust and said bluntly. "Take me to your room. I have a blueprint of the artifact I want to sell."
Fatty nodded and took them to the room without question.
’Hmm. The bodyguard increased. I also sensed a powerful person in the building. He works fast.’
Silas waited for Fatty to sit and his mind wandered.
"Show me the blueprint. I am also a mage."
"Really? Can you see through the truth of mana? I am afraid the artifact is high quality so your eyes will not see the full picture." Silas said.
Of course, he knew that Fatty was a mage, looking at the amount of mana he was releasing.
Either he was doing it on purpose or he was an unskilled mage.
Probably at the level of second circle mage.
Fatty shot him a glance and said, "I am still a mage."
"Fine by me." Silas tossed him a bag and waited.
Fatty opened the bag and looked inside. He took out the robe in confusion and placed it beside him.
There was a piece of paper inside, showing how to craft the crest, how to imbue into the robe and maintain the crest.
Fatty put the bag away and checked the content inside the paper.
Silas enjoyed the look on Fatty’s face as he twisted and turned, making sense of the crest and how it morphed and changed.
How could a low level mage like him could see the truth in the craft made by Silas, Fourth circle mage, a talented one at that.
And there was Thamior who gave him regular advice as well.
So in order to understand the content fully, you needed to be a fifth circle mage at least in turn of knowledge. Fatty frowned.
He didn’t understand a thing at all but his instinct and mage sense was telling him that the crest and methods were real.
So he put down the paper and smiled at Silas.
"Haha... my eyes are getting worse. I need to go to the doctor. Do you mind if I took a guest here? To check the content more thoroughly."
Silas smiled and waved his hand. "I don’t mind at all, Fatty. But make sure that person is reliable. Otherwise, you know right?"
"Of course, in this type of business, trust is the thing we sought for." Fatty said with a big wide smile and stood up.
"Then, excuse me, I have to invite the guest."
Seeing that, Silas frowned. Fatty was the boss of this building, more specifically the boss of this brunch. He heard from Thamior last night about the people in the city.
Well, from this view, the old mage was quite a good slave for him.
But Silas had not asked about the Floen Family to him. He was still wary of the mage after all, there was no way he broke a bond with his family so easily.
Silas waited for Fatty to come.
Roland was like a statue as usual.
Silas yawned as the time was about 2 am. He worked hard in the morning and the stress was piling on his body.
Just as his mind wandered around, the door opened gently and Fatty came, his posture was timid almost as if he was leading a predator.
Silas became instantly alerted but he didn’t show it outward. But to pay respect, he sat upward, fixing his posture.
Roland understood the situation and lowered his energy output as well.
Silas nodded inwardly in approval. The young knight can be smart sometimes.
Silas waited for the person to enter.
It didn’t disappoint him at all. It was a woman, dressed in white, her hair was long and smooth like silk. She wore light makeup, enchanting her beauty even more.
Each movement of her was well practiced and refined to seduce the opposite gender. She revealed her body and hid the important part, letting the imagination wild in the young mind.
Silas frowned.
She was much more beautiful and filled with charm than Ice-pick. The description of succubus fitted her more than that shameful real one.
’But why is she here? It is not her place.’ Silas thought. Looking at her, he felt a tiny bit of guilt.
After all, he was going to steal her destined treasure from her. Looking at why, it made sense that she was here.
The city is close to Palm Mountain.
She glanced at his direction and smiled.
"It is a surprise that you don’t see me with a lustful eye." The woman muttered, her voice dripped with honey.
"Haha." Silas laughed. "What matter is inside, young miss? I have a very lustful heart."
The woman smiled and extended her slender hand. Silas stood up and grabbed her hand for a shake.
In order to not hurt her, he squeezed a little. But the woman flashed a smile and tightened the grip so hard that Silas felt his bone breaking.
Despite that Silas didn’t react. He just smiled.
"I like it rough, you know." She spoke. "My name is Rin. Just Rin."
"Nice to meet you, Just Rin."
She chuckled at his crude joke and sat down, showing a bit of her panties. He ignored those and looked at her eyes.
Of course, he knew about her. If he didn’t know her, he wouldn’t have come here at all. Rin, one of the powerful people in the underworld.
She was known as a master of prostitution. She wielded the powerful things known as lust and controlled people using that.
She was also very wealthy. The reason she got featured in the game was because one of the protagonist harem got kidnapped and sold to the brothel.
With normal plot progression, the protagonist faced off against her and destroyed her group. And that was how she was killed.
Before she was killed, the game showed her backstory. It was that piece of information that Silas obtained a way to get her treasure.
"So this is your artifact." She said, lifting up his robe and carefully observing.
[Hmm, I don’t think she would be here. I don’t know if you are lucky or not. Anyway, be careful, she is a fifth circle mage.]
’Just fifth circle mage?’ Silas was puzzled.
In the game she was at the level of seventh circle mage capable of deploying domain. Is her talent so fierce that she became a demigod in two years?
How terrifying. Silas lamented.
He didn’t envy such talent as all. They were the ones targeted by the world the most. He silently prayed for her future.
She placed the robe down and picked up the blueprint. Her graceful eyes moved along and read the content thoroughly. It takes about 30 minutes.
"I am surprised at the crest. You must be a wonderful mage." Rin said. "Looks like the rumors are false. You are indeed the heir of Viremont."
Silas didn’t react and smiled. Fatty on the other hand was freaking out.
The underworld usually didn’t interact with nobles. The royal family hated the underworld a lot. Every time they appeared on the surface, they were killed.
The only reason he interacted with Floen was because they were also guilty like them.
Lifting up the surface of the underworld meant mutual destruction.
But Silas was from Viremont, the enemy of Floen. That meant this place was gone.
Silas chuckled looking at the sweating Fatty.
