Ruler Of Beast Multiverse

Chapter 102: Competition Against Sand City

Inside the classroom of the Grade 3 Beast Taming Class at Aquapolis No 1 High School!

Regarding the exchange match with Sand City this afternoon, the students were filled with indignation. It wasn’t that they were afraid, but rather that they couldn’t stand the faces of the people coming from Sand City.

Ever since the time of Bruce, Aquilopolis City’s ranking in the Beast Taming College Entrance Exam had been consistently lagging behind every year.

That was why people from Sand City would come to Aquilopolis City from time to time every year to have exchange matches with their Grade 3 Beast Taming Class.

However, in every previous exchange match, they had suffered complete defeat, allowing the Grade 3 Beast Taming Class from Sand City to claim victory.

This resulted in the people from Sand City looking down on the Grade 3 Beast Taming Class at Aquapolis No 1 High School every time they arrived, putting on airs and not even deigning to look at them properly.

"Quiet! The people from Sand City will be here soon, and the exchange match will start this afternoon." Teacher Charles said in a stern tone. Only after all the students looked at him did he continue.

"Furthermore, if you can’t stand them, then use your strength to speak during this afternoon’s exchange match. Don’t just rely on your mouths here."

"Understood, Teacher Charles!"

The students stopped whispering and turned their gazes toward the few people in the class with superior Beast Taming Talent.

Diana, Carl, Wesley, and Billy were all under the scrutiny of the other students.

Then they thought of Logan, who had died in the Green Valley Secret Realm; otherwise, there would have been one more Beast Master with superior talent.

What a pity, to die so young!

In the back row of the classroom, Billy picked his nose and asked, "Brother Wesley, so, are we joining the exchange match this afternoon or not?"

"Not joining. If I join, wouldn’t that be bullying them? Besides, there’s no benefit to it, I can’t be bothered to move."

Wesley shook his head decisively. He was the type of person who wouldn’t get up early without profit; he had absolutely no interest in such unnutritious exchange matches.

"Then I’ll listen to you and not join either!" Billy said, looking completely indifferent.

Over there, Teacher Charles began speaking again.

"This time, 10 students from the Grade 3 Beast Taming Class in Sand City have come, so our class also needs to select 10 students."

"Does anyone want to volunteer? You can sign up now."

Teacher Charles had candidates in mind, but he didn’t say it out loud; instead, he wanted to see how the students would react.

Before he had even finished speaking, Diana, who was sitting in the front row, raised her hand.

"Teacher Charles, Diana signing up!"

After coming out of the Green Valley Secret Realm, Diana’s strength had improved significantly. Therefore, this exchange match with the neighboring city at Aquapolis No 1 High School was the perfect opportunity to see how much her strength had grown.

While signing up, Diana glanced toward Wesley, who was sitting in the back row.

Their eyes met briefly.

She subtly gestured for him to sign up, her beautiful eyes carrying an unmistakable hint of expectation.

"Come on... sign up too."

Wesley naturally noticed Diana’s signal, but he calmly lowered his head again and pretended not to see it, continuing to read the blade technique manual in his hands as though nothing had happened.

"Teacher Charles, I’m signing up too!" Freya, who was sitting beside Diana, saw her best friend sign up and raised her hand as well.

Freya had not entered the Green Valley Secret Realm for training because she had only broken through to become a One-Star Beast Tamer a few days earlier.

"Good. Diana and Freya, you two can participate in this afternoon’s exchange match. Is there anyone else signing up?"

Teacher Charles nodded with satisfaction. With Diana there, at the very least, the people from Sand City were going to stumble this time.

After seeing Diana be the first to raise her hand to sign up, most of the students in the class silently cheered for School Beauty Diana.

"With School Beauty Diana taking action, she’ll definitely sweep those ten people from Sand City!"

"School Beauty Diana, go! You are the goddess in my heart!"

"Defeat the people from the neighboring city, and I’ll be your boyfriend!"

Carl also raised his hand to sign up. He hadn’t wanted to sign up originally, but feeling the gazes of some classmates, he had no choice but to step up.

"Good, there are already six students signed up. Four more are needed!"

As Teacher Charles spoke, he looked toward Wesley and Billy in the back row.

Even those with average Beast Taming Talent had signed up for the exchange match, yet you two, with superior Beast Taming Talent, hadn’t. What are you waiting for?

Teacher Charles was puzzled and really wanted to call these two out of the classroom and give them a thorough dressing-down.

"Teacher Charles, I’m signing up too."

"Me too!"

Two more people signed up, and then no one else did.

It wasn’t that the others didn’t want to sign up, but they felt their strength was too low, and signing up would only embarrass them.

It was better to give the spots to others and cheer for them from the sidelines.

"Brother Wesley, what are you looking at? Look up. Hell King Charles and the classmates are all looking at us."

Billy whispered with his head down. They were truly in a difficult position now.

Meanwhile, Wesley kept his head down, looking at the blade technique manual that Natasha had given him. The more he read, the more he felt this blade technique was truly extraordinary.

He had become completely absorbed in it and didn’t care at all about the so-called exchange match that afternoon.

Unable to hold back any longer, Diana suddenly stood up and glared at Wesley.

"Wesley! Sign up!" Her voice echoed throughout the classroom, startling everyone.

In Diana’s eyes, it was simply too embarrassing. As her fiancé, Wesley was sitting there as though nothing was happening while everyone else was volunteering to represent the academy.

However, Wesley didn’t respond at all.

He hadn’t even heard Diana’s voice. His entire mind was immersed in comprehending the blade technique manual, completely oblivious to everything happening around him.

Carl cursed in his heart, "Even if your Beast Taming Talent is good, Wesley, if you don’t even dare to participate in an exchange match, you’re just trash!"

The rest of the students were even more confused. Everyone was a student in the Beast Taming Class, shouldn’t they be striving to win glory for the class and defeat the Beast Taming Class from the neighboring city in the exchange match!

Why did these two seem so indifferent, with no interest at all?

"Wesley, Billy, you two, stand up for me!" Teacher Charles slammed the blackboard eraser on the lectern with a "bang".

"Teacher Charles, I’m signing up for the exchange match!"

Billy didn’t care about Wesley anymore and stood up immediately.

Seeing that Hell King Charles was furious, Billy was terrified that if he was one second late, he would be dragged out of the classroom by Hell King Charles for some "education of love!"

Seeing Billy state his position, Teacher Charles stopped paying attention to him and looked directly at Wesley.

This guy Wesley was still bowing his head, looking completely mesmerized. This was clearly not taking his, Teacher Charles’s, words seriously.

He wanted to see what Wesley was reading that could make him so focused and oblivious to everything else.

Watching Teacher Charles walk down from the podium with a gloomy expression toward Wesley, many students in the classroom wore gloating expressions.

Especially that slippery fish Carl, who started making snide remarks.

"Classmate Wesley is really getting carried away, not even taking Teacher Charles seriously."

Meanwhile, Billy watched as Teacher Charles got closer and closer, reaching out to tug on Wesley’s clothes repeatedly.

"Brother Wesley, stop reading, Hell King Charles is here!"

"Stop messing around, Skinny, don’t disturb me!" Wesley didn’t look up at all, waving his hand to swat away the Skinny’s reaching hand.

Teacher Charles had already reached Wesley’s side, bending down to lean in close.

"What are you looking at, Classmate Wesley? Let me take a look too!"

A familiar voice rang in Wesley’s ears, "This voice, it’s Hell King Charles!"

He looked up and saw Teacher Charles’s extremely stern face.

"Ahaha, Teacher Charles, I wasn’t looking at anything."

Wesley scratched his head and gave an awkward smile.

"Is that so? Bring it here, let me see!" Teacher Charles remained unmoved. He looked at the object Wesley was pressing under his arm and reached out his hand.

"This!" After looking at Teacher Charles for a few more seconds, Wesley finally took out the God Blade Slash manual.

"Teacher Charles, this is just a blade technique, not worth mentioning."

"Oh, a blade technique manual?"

Teacher Charles narrowed his eyes slightly and began to flip through the blade technique manual in his hand.

[God Blade Slash: To draw the blade is to be invincible; each strike is stronger than the last. There are nine forms in total!]

[First Form: Power to Uproot Mountains and Rivers, The Blade Cleaves the Sky.]

It not only detailed the cultivation of the blade technique but also included illustrations of the figures for each form.

At a rough glance, it looked like those cheap street-stall goods; it seemed impressive but felt flashy and without substance.

However, as a Five-Tier Beast Master, Teacher Charles’s perspective was naturally different. He could tell that this blade technique manual was quite extraordinary and belonged to the upper tier of blade techniques.
