Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss

Chapter 416 - 414: The Archfiend, You’re a Dad Again (Part 3)

"Really? I’ll give it a try."

Celeste’s eyes lit up when she heard Miro say she could see him.

She held the Ancient Mirror up to her eyes and began to call his name.

"Husband."

"Are you there, Husband?"

"Hey, Javier Sinclair... can you hear me? If you can, say something. The Archfiend... Old Fiend Sinclair... you wretch..."

She called out several more times, even trying "you wretch," but there was still no response from the other side of the Ancient Mirror.

She looked at the Ancient Mirror in her hand.

Celeste raised an eyebrow. "Why isn’t he there? Miro, didn’t you say I’d be able to see your master? So where is he?"

Miro’s transparent figure appeared above the Ancient Mirror. She rubbed her head. "That’s not right... Oh, oh, I know! Try holding the Ancient Mirror and calling for him while thinking about him."

"It has to be like that? Alright, I’ll try again." As she spoke, Celeste once again held the Ancient Mirror before her eyes. She thought of Javier Sinclair, but the image that subconsciously surfaced was of him saving her during her sacrifice, his Divine Power erupting around him.

The image of him from that moment had been lingering in her mind, which was why it surfaced subconsciously. Celeste had thought she was going to die, but he saved her. ’It just goes to show, the tale of a hero saving a beauty is truly unforgettable. It’s no wonder that in all those TV shows and novels, so many young women fall for their saviors and promise themselves in marriage. It must be that fleeting image of a beautiful, supremely powerful figure that gets seared into one’s heart, making it so hard to forget.’

’Just like how, for me, there was someone who had risked his life.’

’Why am I thinking about this?’

Celeste smiled.

She shouted into the mirror.

"Hey, Javier Sinclair."

"Are you there? Can you hear me?"

"Dearest husband... Archfiend, when are you coming back from the Demonic Domain? You have a son! You have a son, you know!"

The other end of the Ancient Mirror remained silent; there was no response from Javier Sinclair.

Celeste tilted her head.

She remembered that this Mysterious Ancient Mirror was the Demon God’s Companion Divine Artifact. ’Could I be calling him the wrong way?’ Thinking this, she called out tentatively.

"Lord Demon God?"

No response.

’Okay, guess I was overthinking it.’

"Javier Sinclair."

"The Archfiend... my devil of a husband."

Celeste called out a couple more times.

Still, no one answered.

Just as she was about to put the Mysterious Ancient Mirror away, an image flickered to life on its surface. Celeste leaned in closer, her eyes fixed on the scene within the Ancient Mirror.

Within the Ancient Mirror’s image, the sky was grim and dark, and the air was thick with a miasma of resentment.

"ROAR—" A world-shaking roar erupted from the Mysterious Ancient Mirror in her hand. At the same time, a figure came into Celeste’s view.

A Black Dragon also appeared in the scene, its body radiating a monstrous aura of resentment.

Seeing the Vile Dragon roar and lunge, jaws wide, at the figure inside the mirror, Celeste’s grip on the Ancient Mirror tightened. She couldn’t help but cry out, "Husband, look out!"

Celeste’s voice was loud.

The moment she spoke, the man in the Ancient Mirror visibly stiffened. It was just for an instant, though. When she looked again, she saw him reach out and casually yank out a Dragon Tendon.

The Vile Dragon’s miserable, roaring shriek echoed from the Ancient Mirror. The Dragon Tendon remained in his hand; unlike a radiant, iridescent one, this one was wreathed in black mist and radiated a vicious aura. Meanwhile, the Black Dragon’s body began to crumble, dissipating into nothing as the wind blew past, leaving not a trace behind.

Watching this scene unfold,

Celeste was stunned. She couldn’t help but mutter, "That... Husband, that move was incredible. Is this the live-action version of ripping out a dragon’s tendon?"

A voice came from the Ancient Mirror.

"It’s you again."

Seeing him, Celeste couldn’t help but rub her head. "Yeah, it’s me again."

’Celeste had been trying to find the Javier Sinclair who was currently in the Upper Realm’s Demonic Domain, but the one who’d appeared in the Ancient Mirror was the Demon God. And he recognized her, which meant she’d connected to fifteen thousand years in the past... again.’

’But... as long as it’s him, it’s fine. I can still share the good news. The timing is off, but a dad is still a dad.’

She waved and said, "What a coincidence, Lord Demon God! We meet again. This must be fate. It seems we really are destined to be husband and wife. Just look—I call out randomly and get to see the you from fifteen thousand years ago."

He lifted his gaze slightly, looking in her direction.

His black robes and long hair fluttered in the wind.

The golden Demon Seal on his forehead and his golden eyes, shimmering with Divine Power, all proved this was the Demon God in his true form.

He lifted his gaze toward her again, a hint of exasperation visible in his golden eyes. He spoke coolly, "You from the future, do not summon me unless it’s an emergency. I am not in your time."

Celeste said nonchalantly, "I know, you’re the past version of you! That’s not important. As long as it’s you, you’re my husband. Besides..." She rested a finger on her cheek, smiling at him as she spoke slowly. "You can’t really blame me. I was looking for my kid’s dad; I just didn’t expect you to be the one to appear."

He seized on the key word.

"A child?"

"What child?"

Perhaps because he’d never expected to hear about a child, a stunned expression flickered across the Demon God’s stoic face. For a brief moment, a blank look of confusion filled his golden eyes.

Seeing his stunned expression, Celeste grinned. "That’s right. I forgot you’re the past you, so it’s normal that you don’t know. Let me give you a little spoiler: in your future, Javier Sinclair, not only do we become Taoist Companions, we also have a very handsome son. We call him Annie... His full name is Aaron Sinclair. You’re the one who named him, actually."

After she finished speaking, the scene in the Ancient Mirror fell silent. Only the wind from the abyss stirred his long hair.

He didn’t speak.

He just stood there quietly.

Celeste watched him stand there, utterly silent.

She waved her hand.

"Archfiend, what are you gaping at? Cat got your tongue? Or do you just not believe me? Hehe."

He lifted his eyes, his sharp gaze seeming to pierce right through the Ancient Mirror to where she stood. He was silent for a long while. Just as Celeste thought he wasn’t going to say anything, his voice finally came.

"We... have a son?"

His voice was quiet.

And carried a hint of stiffness.

"Of course we do! If you don’t believe me, I’ll show you." She then took out her phone, found photos of their son, and began showing them to him one by one. "See? Handsome, right? Our son looks just like you—tall, with long legs, and incredibly good-looking. If the two of you stood side by side, your faces alone would be proof enough that you’re father and son."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Ancient Mirror.

「Fifteen thousand years ago.」

Javier Sinclair stood at the edge of the abyss, his gaze lost in the boundless black mist below, a contemplative look in his eyes.

His gaze flickered back to the mirror, to the series of portraits appearing on the Magic Treasure in the woman’s hand. Beneath his sleeve, his hand twitched, but he didn’t know what to do.

’He actually had a son with this woman.’

He stared into the Ancient Mirror, his expression complex, feeling utterly at a loss.
