Chapter 662 - 660: Packing Up the Demonic Domain to Go to the Demon Realm
Seeing her laugh, Javier Sinclair blushed.
He reached out and gently pinched her chin. "Celeste Grant, is it that funny?"
Celeste Grant nodded repeatedly.
"Hahaha, I don’t normally laugh, but I just can’t help it. You’re so cute, my great Archfiend. Especially with the horns on your head. It reminds me of a song: ’I’ve got horns on my head and a tail behind me...’"
He cupped her face in his hands and murmured, "I’m getting angry."
"Oh? Getting angry like this? Are the consequences severe?"
He lowered his head and captured her lips in a kiss.
They embraced, their lips meeting. After the kiss ended, Javier Sinclair held her close, and the two of them snuggled together, gazing at the night view.
He spoke, "My dear, would you like to see a show?"
"A show?" Celeste Grant glanced at him, gesturing around them. "Javier Sinclair, we’re halfway up a mountain. How can there be a show this late at night?"
He said softly, "If you want one, there will be one."
Celeste Grant gestured with her hand. "Alright, then. Let the show begin. Perform something for me."
Javier Sinclair moved his finger slightly.
Just as Celeste Grant was wondering what he was doing, she saw a river of light, like the Milky Way, slowly drifting toward them from a distance. As it drew closer, she could see they were fireflies of all sizes.
The smallest of these fireflies were just tiny specks. The largest ones were the size of a fist.
These were low-level demon beast fireflies.
The fireflies seemed to have received a command. They flew through the air, putting on a show for Celeste Grant. Sometimes they formed a silky ribbon; other times they darted about like little fish flying through the sky. These Demonic Beast fireflies performed with great dedication.
"Haha, so this is the show you were talking about."
Javier Sinclair said, "Well, is it a show or not?"
Celeste Grant nodded slightly. Watching the fireflies before her, she said in a low voice, "You’re quite the romantic, Javier Sinclair."
He replied naturally, "As long as you’re happy."
Seeing her happy made him happy.
’Maybe this is what they call being love-struck!’
Celeste Grant hugged his arm and leaned in to kiss his cheek. "I love you, my Archfiend."
Javier Sinclair’s ears immediately turned red.
Looking at the fireflies again, Celeste Grant couldn’t help but laugh. "Summoning these fireflies to do hard labor in the middle of the night... doesn’t this count as bullying these honest bugs? Hahaha, they’re performing so earnestly. Let’s give them some Spiritual Medicine to drink later as payment for tonight."
Javier Sinclair chuckled softly but didn’t say anything.
The two didn’t leave that night. They just snuggled on the mountainside, talking, and before she knew it, Celeste Grant had fallen asleep against him.
The next day arrived, and the sun began to rise slowly. Just then, a familiar voice—Javier Sinclair’s—sounded by her ear.
"Wake up."
"The sun is rising."
Hearing his voice, Celeste Grant slowly opened her eyes. The sight before her was truly breathtaking.
The sun rose in the east, painting the sky with a myriad of colorful rays.
"Watching the sunrise from halfway up a mountain... it gives you a special kind of feeling. This... what a sunrise. Javier Sinclair, this spot you picked is incredible. Come on, let’s take some pictures to remember this." As she spoke, Celeste Grant took out her phone and started taking photos of the sunrise.
Then, she flipped the camera around and took a few pictures of the two of them.
Celeste Grant pointed to her own cheek.
"Here..."
Javier Sinclair understood instantly and planted a kiss right on her cheek.
CLICK...
The picture was taken.
Celeste Grant took a look and handed the phone to him. "This one turned out really nice."
Javier Sinclair wrapped an arm around her, his gaze falling on her phone. Seeing the photo, he nodded slightly.
"Mm, it’s a good picture."
"Send it to me later."
"Okay!"
"We’ve been out all night. Let’s get up and go." With that, the two of them stood up from the flat rock on the mountainside.
Standing beside Celeste Grant, Javier Sinclair gazed at the sunrise and said, "It’s time to move." He murmured this, then held out his hand to Celeste Grant.
"Let’s go."
As he spoke, Celeste Grant placed her hand in his, and the two of them flew off the mountainside. When they returned to their residence, they saw their daughter sitting on the steps of their doorway.
The little girl was clutching a small pillow.
Seeing them return, the little girl looked up, her round little cheeks puffed out in a pout. She glanced at the two of them and stood up from the steps. "Mommy, Daddy, where did you go?"
’Where did we go? Off on a date, of course, just the two of us.’
Seeing her precious daughter, Celeste Grant quickly walked over and scooped her up. "Sweetheart, why are you sitting here all by yourself?"
Celeste Grant glanced at the sky.
It was still early.
Usually, at this hour, her daughter would still be sound asleep. ’Why is she up so early today, and sitting at our door?’
The little girl in Celeste Grant’s arms said, "I woke up and couldn’t fall back asleep, so I wanted to sleep with Mommy and Daddy. But you weren’t in your room, and you didn’t come back for a long, long time. So I waited here for you. You only decided to come back now that it’s morning."
Javier Sinclair reached out and stroked her head. "I’m sorry, I’m sorry. It’s Daddy’s fault. It won’t happen again. My little Princess must have been waiting for a long time, right? Come, let Daddy hold you."
He reached out and took his daughter.
"Are you sleepy? Daddy will carry you back to your room so you can sleep a little more."
"Okay."
With that, she wrapped her arms around Javier Sinclair’s neck and promptly fell asleep.
Her daughter was so carefree. Besides being an enthusiastic eater, the thing Celeste Grant admired most about her was her ability to fall asleep anywhere, anytime, at the drop of a hat.
After carrying her back to the room, Javier Sinclair placed his daughter on the bed. The little girl’s eyes fluttered open slightly, and she patted the space beside her on the bed, motioning.
"Daddy, Mommy, you sleep too."
"Okay, okay. Mommy will hold you while you sleep."
It was still early, so lying down with their precious daughter for a bit was fine.
And so, the little girl slept in the middle.
Celeste Grant and Javier Sinclair slept on either side of her.
"Mommy..."
The child beside her reached out, hugged her hand, and snuggled against it affectionately before finding a comfortable position and settling down.
Seeing this, Celeste Grant, who was lying on her side, smiled. She gently stroked her daughter’s head. "Mommy’s right here. Go to sleep now."
’My daughter is so cute.’
Celeste Grant leaned down and placed a kiss on her daughter’s forehead. ’Her son was already grown up. Now, all she hoped for was for her daughter to grow up safe and sound, happy and cheerful.’
The matter of moving had already been decided.
「That afternoon.」
Javier Sinclair’s Divine Sense blanketed the entire Demonic Domain.
He spoke, his voice calm.
"We depart for the Demon Realm now."
His voice carried clearly to the ears of everyone in the Demonic Domain. As soon as the words left his lips, his figure flickered and appeared in the sky.
He extended a hand and spoke a single word.
"Gather."
