Chapter 661: Packing Up the Demonic Domain and Taking It to the Demon Realm

The First Elder of the Demonic Domain scratched his head, completely baffled. ‘Aren’t we supposed to be moving to the Demon Realm? Why are we just waiting around, not preparing anything at all?’

Perhaps sensing the First Elder’s confusion, Celeste Grant said with a faint smile, “You see, First Elder, the ‘move’ The Exalted One mentioned might be different from your understanding of the word. He means he’s going to move the entire Demonic Domain. Literally. Do you understand now?”

The moment she finished speaking, the First Elder of the Demonic Domain’s eyes widened in shock. This time, he truly understood what Celeste Grant had said. And it was precisely because he understood that he found it so unbelievable.

“The Exalted One is going to move the entire Demonic Domain!!!”

The First Elder stammered.

‘The move The Exalted One mentioned… means he’s going to move the entire Demonic Domain? C-can that really be done? No, no, how could I doubt The Exalted One? If he says it’s possible, then it must be!’

The First Elder fell silent. He wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, his mind reeling.

‘It seems I really am too shortsighted. How could the likes of us ever hope to comprehend the world of a mighty being like The Exalted One?’

“I see. No wonder The Exalted One hasn’t given any further instructions.” After taking a deep breath to calm himself, he bowed. “Thank you for the clarification, Lady Celeste. I shall take my leave now.”

Celeste Grant nodded slightly.

“Yes. Take care, First Elder.”

As the First Elder left Celeste Grant’s residence, he felt as if he were floating. Had he not confirmed it himself, he never would have imagined that *this* was what The Exalted One meant by ‘moving’.

The disciples and other elders who had been waiting for news from the First Elder immediately began asking for an update the moment they saw him.

“How did it go? What did Lady Celeste say?”

“First Elder, when are we going to the Demon Realm?”

“Moving our Demonic Domain is a massive undertaking; we should be preparing in advance. Just waiting around like this isn’t getting us anywhere. I feel like I’m getting rusty. Did Lady Celeste give any specific orders?”

Faced with their questions, the First Elder’s gaze swept over the crowd. He said with a cryptic expression, “Patience, everyone. You will all know soon enough.”

The implication was that the First Elder had learned some inside information they weren’t privy to. Hearing this only made them more curious.

One of them draped an arm over the First Elder’s shoulder. “Oh? Come on, First Elder. After all these years, you’re not going to share what you know?”

The First Elder cleared his throat and said, “When The Exalted One said he was going to move the entire Demonic Domain to the Demon Realm, he meant it literally.”

“What do you mean, ‘literally’? Spell it out for us!”

“It can’t be what I’m thinking, can it? That’s impossible…” While they were speaking, several elders surrounded him, all desperate to get a clearer picture of the situation.

「That evening.」

「Halfway up the mountain.」

Javier Sinclair and Celeste Grant sat on a boulder, gazing into the distance.

She gently swung her legs and murmured, “The view from here at night is lovely.”

The moment Celeste Grant spoke, an arm wrapped around her shoulder, and a man’s low, amused voice sounded by her ear. “Annie isn’t around, and our daughter is asleep. Without them popping up out of nowhere, I can finally give you a proper hug.” As he spoke, he leaned into her, pulling her into an embrace.

“Mm.”

Celeste Grant let out a soft laugh.

‘It feels so nice, just sitting here quietly with the man I love, watching the night sky.’ She glanced sideways at him, then tilted her head to rest against his shoulder. “I’m so happy being with you, The Archfiend.”

Javier Sinclair smiled and leaned over to give her a kiss. “Me too, my love,” he whispered.

As they sat together talking, a thought suddenly struck Celeste Grant. She quickly looked up at him. “Oh, right! You said we’re moving to the Demon Realm. When are we leaving?”

Javier Sinclair met her gaze and said seriously, “Whenever you’re ready.”

Celeste Grant nodded.

“Alright, let’s go then! Time for a change of scenery. Javier Sinclair, what’s your home realm like? I’ve been there before, but it was always a fleeting visit. I don’t really know anything about the Demon Realm.”

He began to explain, “The Demon Realm isn’t all that different from where we live now. It’s just a larger territory. The Demonic Qi is denser in some areas, and the malevolent energy is stronger in others. Everything else is more or less the same.”

Celeste Grant asked curiously, “Are the people of the Demon Realm all part of The Demon Clan? And do you have horns?” She was rather curious about that last part.

At her question, Javier Sinclair’s mouth twitched. “You should read fewer of those silly novels. The real Demon Realm is nothing like what you imagine. The term ‘The Demon Clan’ is just a general designation. Anyone who joins the Demon Realm is considered part of The Demon Clan, just as anyone who joins Celestria is considered part of Celestria. There are thousands upon thousands of races living in the Demon Realm. Some of them do have horns, but not every member of The Demon Clan does.”

Celeste Grant looked at him and reached out, feeling around on top of his head.

“Honey, do you have horns?”

Javier Sinclair glanced at her, taking hold of the hand she had placed on his head. He shook his head gently and said softly, “I don’t have horns, my love.”

Celeste Grant’s face was a picture of disappointment.

“What a shame, what a shame. I was hoping to see what you’d look like with horns. In all the shows I’ve seen, characters like The Demon Lord and The Demon God always have them. But you don’t. Does that mean all those novels and shows were lying to me?”

He gave her a light tap on the head. “So, that’s what you’re into, my love?”

Celeste Grant started and quickly waved her hands in denial.

“No, no! I’m not! Don’t be ridiculous!”

His fingers brushed lightly against her neck as he leaned in close, his voice dropping to a low whisper. “If my love really likes them, I can conjure a pair of horns for you.”

Celeste Grant rolled her eyes at him. “Do I look like that kind of person to you?”

Javier Sinclair simply raised an eyebrow, his eyes twinkling with amusement. Celeste Grant threw her arms around his neck and giggled. “You read people so well! You’re right, I am exactly that kind of person. Come on, conjure some horns so I can have a feel.”

With a flick of his finger, two small, pointed horns immediately appeared on his head.

“Whoa, not bad.”

Celeste Grant reached out to touch them.

“Can you make other kinds?”

“Mm-hmm.”

“Show me some long ones.”

He flicked his finger again.

The horns changed.

“Hahaha, Javier Sinclair, these look pretty good! Now change them to some little stubby ones.”

“Haha, now a pair made of crystal! And then blue ones!”

“And for the grand finale, a single horn!”

“Javier Sinclair, you’re killing me!”

There is a special kind of warmth that comes from having someone to laugh with, to be silly with. At that moment, that feeling was perfectly embodied by the two of them.
