Chapter 246: Go Dig Your Own Ore
“When you get the Prismatic Shard, just take it to the forge in the desert and offer it there,” Leon replied, casually cutting down a bat that swooped in.
“Prismatic Shards are so rare. It’s not like you can just pick one up anytime,” Abigail said, stabbing her sword through a Stone Golem’s head. She twisted the blade with deliberate force, shattering the creature’s skull in a show of ruthless precision.
“If I get extra Prismatic Shards in the future, I can set one aside for you. But you’ll still have to pay for it. Even brothers keep their accounts straight, so start saving up,” Leon said as he pulled Abigail out of the way of a Stone Golem that lunged forward at sudden speed.
“How much are we talking? Tell me the price, and I’ll see if I have enough saved right now,” Abigail asked, blocking a bat that had flown up from behind a Stone Golem.
“Friend discount, 3,000G,” Leon replied, slicing the bat mid-sentence.
“That’s expensive… but I think I can scrape together enough,” Abigail said, skewering another Stone Golem.
“Looks like your little stash is pretty healthy,” Leon joked, kicking one Stone Golem aside and cutting another clean in half.
“Of course. My dad pays me wages for helping out at home,” Abigail said, sidestepping a Stone Golem’s charge. She raised her sword to strike, but Leon cut it down before she could.
“Hey! You stole my kill!”
