“You sure about that?” The cruel, cold threat made Abigail instinctively step away from Leon, giving him a strange look before confirming.
“Sure. Anyway, it’s just the two of us in this mine. If something happens to you and I don’t explain why, nobody will know how you died.” Leon nodded matter-of-factly.
“Alright then.” Abigail shrugged at his words. She knew Leon was joking, but she had no intention of backing down.
After all, she’d set her sights on becoming an adventurer. How could she possibly be afraid to take on a monster? Next time they ran into something like that, she’d make sure Leon knew she wasn’t just here for decoration.
Once they finished off the stone golem, Leon pulled out his pickaxe and resumed his mining spree.
Below the 30th floor, the chances of finding copper ore clearly went up. Just walking a few steps often revealed a copper vein, and sometimes an entire cluster. That’s when Leon would pull out a Cherry Bomb.
“You’re actually carrying bombs?” Abigail stared in surprise as the cherry-sized bomb cleared out a massive patch of copper ore in seconds.
“Is that a problem?” Leon looked at her in confusion.
“Aren’t you afraid of collapsing the mine and burying yourself alive?” she pressed.
