"Shelly, where did you get this rope from? And are you not satisfied with just tying up my legs? Do you have to tie my arms as well?"
Rin asked as he tugged at the bonds holding him in place. Shelly had tied him up at an awkward but semi-comfortable angle. Thankfully, the bed was big enough for Rin to get comfortable while leaving her some room.
As for the rope...where had she gotten it from? And since when did she get so comfortable tying someone up? Wasn’t she tying it a bit too professionally?
Shelly ignored his questions in favor of asking her own questions.
"Rin, is this comfortable? Can you move properly? Do I need to loosen the bindings?"
The atmosphere was turning weird and Rin quickly decided he needed to do something about it. So he patted the bed beside him and told Shelly to lie down.
"Shelly, I am fine and comfortable. You should go to sleep now."
It took Shelly a few seconds to realize what he wanted and she immediately got into bed beside him and snuggled up to him.
"Good night."
Shelly turned around and switched off the lights. The sudden darkness made Rin unable to see anything for a second, and his eyes slowly started to adjust.
Exhaustion started to creep in and Rin decided to crash out before his ability to lower the stress expired.
Unfortunately for him, the system decided it was the perfect time to interrupt him.

Well, other than the system, the only unfair situation Rin could think about was being reborn in this world and knowing the future.
Sometimes he did wish he had not known what was about to happen. It would have made his childhood years much happier. But he would also suffer as a result...so, that was not a good ’what-if’ to linger on.

Purple eyes opened slowly and watched Rin sleep. Shelly kept a smile on her face, but the possessive light in her eyes became much brighter.
"You sleep so well beside me. I knew that I was the only one who could make you feel safe enough to sleep without a care in the world."
