Chapter 216: Witch Seed
The witches surrounded the two vampires. Their tongues reached out long and swirly like snakes.
These witches hadn't drunk the Wicked Potion yet, they still had monstrous characteristics on them.
The vampires didn't flinch. They smiled.
"You think that is scary. Let us show you what true terror is."
The vampires transformed. They grew bigger. Their bat wings sprawled accross the room. Compared to the partial monstrous witches. The vampires were actual monsters. Their teeth were sharp like shark with two enormous fangs in the front.
The witches jumped at them. Only for them to slap the witches away with ease.
Carter walked slowly, observing the situation.
"Don't bother get close to them. These are vampires. They're much stronger than us." Carter had to pretend that he was concerned.
Maria frowned. "Vampire... So these are the new Corrupted Blood. They are quite formidable."
The vampires growled. They smirked. They weren't even worrying. They knew they could get out of here alive. If Satan didn't interfere.
"Did the Prince of Blood assign you here?" Carter said.
The vampire licked her lip. "All Father has many plans. Whatever he wants, we can't know."
Maria's frown deepened. She knew there were seven Princes. Satan was the Prince of Soul. Naturally, there were six more with the same power level as him.
The vampire attacked Carter. His shadow rose up and transformed into a large bear. The shadow bear came into a brawl with the first vampire, keeping her at bay.
The second one flew up. Blood came out of her veins and formed bloody spear, shooting at Carter.
He held a piece of wooden totem in his hand. A green barrier appeared and blocked the blood spears.
Carter took out another totem then threw it on the ground. It transformed into a female with bird wings. The shadow creature flew up and charged at the vampire. It could keep the vampire busy but couldn't completely overwhelm it.
"These vampires are dangerous." Maria said.
"Their master are even more lethal." Carter said.
The other witches were basically cannon fodder if they were to face any of these vampires. That was what scary about this species. They couls reproduce quickly and their offsprings would immediately have full access to vampiric power.
'The vampire would get out of hand like this. If only there were a way to install some kind of weakness onto them.'
Carter was building a stronger world. A world that he would soon conquer. But there needed to be a balance in this world. A world of mystical creatures not a world of vampires.
'I wonder if there is a way to make the vampire scares of cross just like in the lore.'
Maria's shadow got out from her and stood up. Carter controlled her shadow and used it as a puppet for Satan.
"Enough." The shadow transformed into a goat horn man.
The vampires fell back. Carter also retreated his shadow creatures.
The shadow devil observed the two vampires. "My brother sent you here?"
The vampires looked at each other and didn't answer.
The shadow devil waved its hand dismissively. "Get the hell out of here. I don't want conflict with Dracula at the moment. But tell him. I will not tolerate anymore disrespect."
The vampires lost their arrogance from a moment ago. They could feel the temendous power leaking from the shadow.
They didn't think twice and flew out of the structure.
Maria exhaled sharply. "So strong. Only two vampires are that difficult to handle. Just imagine an army of them."
The shadow devil nodded. "That's the thing about Dracula. His power might be a little less than me. But he could make a lot of powerful offsprings. We should avoid having direct conflicts with him. I don't want all the vampires in the world to destroy my Devil Church."
Carter was just lying his way out so that the Devil Church wouldn't fight the vampires. He needed all forces to attack the Necromancers, not fighting each other.
'Well. That plot hole is dealt with. Now I can focus on creating more potions and totems.'
In the following days, Carter didn't do anything else except brewing potions and making totems. He could make a much wider range of potions compared to the Shadow Apothecary.
Transmutation potions that could turn the consumer into animals or other creature. Carter named this Shape Changer.
Superpower potions that granted the consumers temporary abilities like controlling elements, telekinesis, or even mental powers. Carter named this Wicked Powers.
Carter tried to create enhancement potions like Shadow Apothecary also. But the result was not ideal. Shadow Apothecary Potions had very limited side effects. But Wicked Potions had a lot. A simple strength enhancement potion would tear the consumer's muscles after usage.
'Huh? So Shadow Apothecary is much better in creating postive effect potions or healing potions. While Ursula is more effective on the power and cursing side.'
He also created a few Cursed Potions that aligned with the theme of witches. A Mute Potion that would made the consumer unable to use their voice, forever. A Fortune Stealer that made the user's luck completely ran out. A Power Disabler that basically neutralized one's supernatural power.

Of course, Carter also dabbled in creating Witch Totems. The Totems had a variety of abilities depending on how Carter wanted to make it. The most important thing was that Totems were reusable, if they still had enogh Wickes Magic inside them.
Each Totem was similar to a magical relic that had an internal battery.
This was much faster than casting Wicked Magic in battles.
The witches of the Devil Church also transitioned to using Totems instead of spells. It was simply a much more powerful path for the Wickes Witches.

Wicked Witch's Synchronization rose much slower compared to other skins. But Carter managed to farm a doll out of it anyway, after countless potion brewing and totem making.
He wasted an entire month for this. The Devil Monastery also had reached it complete state. The Living House was ready to be created.
