Infinite Skin System: Starting as An Eldritch Knight

Chapter 207: Soul Contract

Carter returned to Baker Street.

The police had arrived at the place and locked down the area. Carter had gotten rid of the body parts and held Percy in a secret place.

Still, it would be hard to hide the commotion from the neighbors.

He sneaked past everyone and returned to Mrs. Hudson's building. Amelia was currently speaking with a police officer.

"So, you're telling me that a group of Undead attacked this building and left?" The policeman officer was writing on the notebook while speaking.

Amelia nodded, "That's right."

"Other than you, were there anyone else?"

Amelia hesitated for a moment. There was Dr. Watson and the shadow. She didn't know where they were at the moment and pondered whether telling the police would be a good idea.

"It's just me, Mrs. Hudson, and the patient I am taking care of."

"The patient?" The police raised an eyebrow.

"Yes. Dr. Victor Frankenstein. Unfortunately, he has fallen into a coma and needs someone to take care of him."

The policeman immediately took his hat off and placed it on his chest. "I didn't know this is Dr. Frankenstein's residence. He was the sole reason why the Black Blood pandemic hasn't killed all of us yet.

I am incredibly sad to hear that he is sick. He worked way too hard. I hope he will get better soon."

"I'll try my best to ensure a swift recovery for Dr. Frankenstein." Amelia nodded.

The policeman left. He turned back briefly before getting through the door.

"We will assign more policemen in this area to make sure this doesn't happen again. However, if Dr. Frankenstein needs anything, please do not hesitate to reach out to us."

"Of course." Amelia smiled.

The policeman nodded and left.

Amelia sighed deeply. "Victor really is famous. Even policemen recognize him."

The nurse walked back inside and went to check Mrs. Hudson.

Carter had brought her out of the danger just in time, so Mrs. Hudson didn't receive any injury at all.

Dr. Watson also did his best to protect Amelia. So, the only one who was injured in the entire battle was Dr. Watson.

"Where is James, my dear?" Mrs. Hudson asked.

"Frankenstein's shadow carried him away. I don't know where to but I hope it brought him somewhere to save him." Amelia said.

As soon as she finished, the shadow appeared in the room and startled the two women.

"Oh my gosh!" Mrs. Hudson tapped her chest. "I can never get used to this thing."

Amelia sweated silently. A few days ago, she was just an ordinary nurse. Now she was taking care of Doctor Victor Frankenstein while his shadow could freely run around like a ghost.

"I might have to consider seriously about my profession later." Amelia told herself.

Carter returned to the apartment. The entire place was wrecked. The windows were broken apart. Pieces of glasses everywhere on the ground.

'Watson will probably return tomorrow morning. I might need to transfer my body into the Enthrall Institute. Paul Avery is there. He is a First Generation. No Necromancer would dare approaching a place ruled by a vampire.'

Carter was thinking that the Necromancer might be a problem for the vampires. But after the last fight, he wasn't that worry.

The Necromancers was similar to the Pale Undead to a certain extent. They had much more control over the Undead, but their own body had no strength at all.

'Percy isn't that good of a Necromancer. I wonder if there is someone stronger, like an Elite or even a Champion Necromancer. If not, they have disappointed me.'

Carter left a shadow to watch over his body while he went over to where he had hidden Percy.

Percy's eyelids fluttered open. His entire body was being tied by a thick rope. His hands behind his back and a cloth went over his mouth, preventing him from shouting too loud.

Percy squirmed like a worm but couldn't get out of his restraints.

He looked around and found himself inside a dark cave. The opening was not far from him. The light of the early morning and cold air traveled inside the cave faintly.

'God Damnit! What is even that shadow? Is it coming from that new Necromancer? I need to get out of here or he would kill me for sure!'

Percy couldn't break free. So he crawled pathetically toward the entrance.

It was a slow and grinding crawled. Percy had to bent and straighten his body in a specific way to move himself.

Minutes passed and Percy got closer to the entrance. Closer and closer with every minute.

He managed to get to entrance.

But then a shadow looked down upon him.

Percy's eyes rolled to the back of his head. 'Just my luck!'

The shadow picked Percy up and dragged him inside the cave again.

Percy made all kind of noises through the cloth piece on his mouth.

Carter took it off for him to speak.

"Let me go! What even are you? Who is your master? Do you know who I am?"

The Necromancer did all kind of tactic in order to convince the shadow. But the shadow didn't even move. It kept looking at the Necromancer without even flinching.

Percy gulped.

"You keep me alive because you want something, right? What do you want?"

The shadow took out a piece of paper and left it on the ground.

"Soul Binding Contract... By signing this contract, you agree to sell your soul to Satan..." Percy read the piece of paper.

The more he read the paler his face became.

"You want me to sell my soul? You can forget about it! Just kill me already!" Percy spat onto the shadow.

His saliva went through the shadow and stuck on the wall.

Percy didn't know why but he was sure that the shadow was smiling at him.

'You think I can't make you submit? I have many ways to cripple your soul...'

The shadow fell upon the Necromancer and wrapped around his body entirely.

"What are you doing?! Stop! I..."

As his throat was covered by the shadow, he couldn't say anything anymore. Then his nose was blocked, preventing him from breathing. Then his vision and hearing were gone.

Percy fell into the state of no sensation, no vision, no sound, and no breath.

The only thing he could feel was pain.

The human worm writhed at place as he felt his lungs dried of oxygen.
