Chapter 205: Malformed Corpse
The hair on Percy's back stood up. He could feel it. Something was behind him.
Percy turned around and aimed a crossbow at the empty air.
"Huh? I was sure someone was there." Percy frowned.
Suddenly, the shadow on ground reached up and grabbed Percy's hands, preventing him from pull the crossbow trigger.
"Witch Servant!" Percy stood up.
More shadow hands reached up and held him tightly.
The shadow enveloped Percy's entire body as he trembled to break free.
'Hmmm. I can feel the Necron Energy within him. The same thing that Eldritch Skeleton Knight and Shadow Apothecary have.'
"Come to me!" Percy shouted.
The Undead at Mrs. Hudson's house snapped their head toward the building. They rushed to aid Percy.
The Undead climbed the wall like spiders and got onto the roof.
The shadow looked at them.
"Help me, you idiot!" Green light shined within the Necromancer's eyes.
The Undead bolted toward Carter. Their own shadows betrayed them and transformed into solid black spears, piercing through their abdomens and held them tightly in place.
Percy widened his eyes. "What kind of power is this..."
Carter squeezed his hands further, trying to knock Percy unconscious by restricting his airway.
Percy was barely able to breathe. "Get off me..."
The bright green power stirred within him. A circle of magic appeared beside Percy.
'Huh? A summoning power? The Pale Undead couldn't do this.'
A skeleton reached its hand out from the green circle and slammed at the Shadow. It couldn't hurt Carter. After all, a shadow wasn't real.
To hurt him, it would need more than plain physical attack.
The skeleton climbed all the way out of the circle. It was a skeleton warrior with a helmet, a wooden shield, and a short sword.
It slashed at Carter. The shadow was unfazed.
"Why is nothing working!" Percy was still struggling in Carter's palm. He's trying to get out of his grasp.
Another green circle appeared. This time, it was an unarmed skeleton with glowing green hands.
'Huh? This one is interesting.'
The skeleton formed a fist and struck at Carter's wrist. It managed to free Percy this time.
The Necromancer fell to the ground and coughed endlessly.
"Damn you! I'll show you!" Percy clasped his hands together. The Undead that he had killed suddenly trembling uncontrollably.
Carter let the skeleton hit him. He let Percy escape. And he had also let the Necromancer finish his spell.
The shadow wanted to see how strong this Necromancer really was.
The bodies of the Undead were pulled together. Their flesh fused with each other. Limbs attached on limbs. Chest stacked on chest.
A huge malformed corpse stood up straight. It was almost the size of a two-story house with countless heads, arms, and legs. A grotesque fusion of the previous Undead.
"I will destroy you!" Percy roared.
The giant corpse struck at the flimsy shadow. It was swept away with the wind and disappeared.
"Where is it?!" Percy snapped his head back and forth.
The shadow appeared behind him and strangled him.
'Summoner's weakness is themselves...' Carter held the Necromancer tightly.
The Malformed Corpse froze in place. It couldn't attack Carter because if it did, the Necromancer would be harmed as well.
'This thing... it is sentient. I must find a way to reason with it.' Percy's eyes darted around, trying to find a way to escape.
"Let me go. Let me go and I will call off the Undead." Percy said.
The shadow tilted its head.
'Finally understand that this shadow isn't stupid, huh?' Carter thought to himself.
The shadow squeezed Percy's neck tighter, narrowing his airway.
Percy clenched his fist, calling the Malformed Corpse to attack. He was betting that the shadow would let him go and got away.
But the shadow didn't even relax.
'I might have not thought this through.' Percy closed his eyes in fear.
The Malformed Corpse slapped him through Carter and sent him flying a few feet up the air. Blood shot out of his nose.
The Necromancer rolled a few times on the ground. Countless bones on his body were broken and he couldn't even lift his head anymore.
Percy's tactic was completely useless because the Malformed Corpse couldn't even attack the shadow.
"What a nonsense power!" Percy blurted out his final words before his head tilted to the side and he fainted.
The Necromancer was no more. But the Malformed Corpse was still there. Without its master, The Malformed Corpse went out of control.
It thrashed at a nearby building.
'Can't let you do that!' Carter jumped forward and transformed into a large giant with demon horn.
The shadow caught the Malformed Corpse and pushed it on the ground.
'Come to me!' The giant raised its hand. Countless shadows appeared and wrapped around the giant.
The Malformed Corpse writhed and flailed its countless limbs. But it couldn't resist the power of the army of shadows.
The shadows slipped into the gaps of the corpse's body and began to detach the organs.
Carter stood still and controlled the shadows. He felt the links that the Necron Energy had created and penetrated into them, breaking them off one by one.
The Malformed Corpse shrank as its body being disassembled piece by piece. Its several heads fell to the ground and lost their hostile gazes.
Carter tilted his head and looked at the bloody organs and limbs on the ground. 'What a mess. I should clean this up.'
Carter didn't want his street to attract too many attentions at the moments. His controlled shadows approached the body parts. Each grabbed a few pieces.
'Take them away and drop them somewhere far away.'
The dazed shadows nodded. They rushed away in the night, holding body parts in their arms.
Carter's neighbor was sleeping soundly in his bed when he heard the commotion. The man stood up and went to his balcony.
"Do you even let people sleep?!" He shouted to the street and froze.
An army of shadows, each carrying a body parts in their arms, some even had a few heads on them. They heard the neighbor and looked up.
The neighbor trembled in fear.
