Chapter 74: Wolfman Line
Carter held the head of the Farrow Alpha in his hand. He dropped it to the ground.
His metallic armor disappeared and the purple cloak wrapped over him once again.
’Weaklings.’
Carter thought to himself. He looked over to the queues of notifications from the Skin System.

Carter turned toward the corpses on the ground.
’And a great sources of shards. With the death of three of their Alphas, the Wolfmen should stop bothering the City of Ghosts now.’
The Undead Wolfmen gathered around Carter. There were around thirty of them. These were stronger, fearless variations of the Wolfmen.
’Releasing these puppies back to be corpses would be a waste. I’ll give them to Delilah later. The City of Ghosts needs some guard dogs.’
Then Carter turned the remaining corpses into shards.

Carter could even have more if he didn’t turn a large portion of the Wolfmen into Undead. The three Alphas were the strongest. He suspected that the Alphas would become Major Shards.
3 Major Shards couldn’t do much. He rather had three Major Wolfmen as his subordinates.
Green light glimmered inside the empty sockets of Carter’s skull. His Necron Force had risen significantly after this slaughter.
’I could stay in Eldritch Form for 180 seconds now. Much longer than the Eldritch Knight. This skin really is busted. But the Skeleton Eldritch Form isn’t that impressive compared to the original Eldritch Knight.’
The white swordsman’s power level hiked several times after transformation. As for the Skeleton, it became an indestructible force but its power didn’t rise that much.
’We can’t have everything. A skin has its own advantages and weaknesses.’
Carter examined his Shards list.

Carter turned on the Skin Forge. The anvil and hammer appeared again. He poured in ten Minor first.

Carter raised the invisible eyebrow of the Skeleton.

Carter tapped his chin in deep thoughts. This changed many things. If Wolfman was literally similar to human, it meant that they could fuse and fit with any other type of Skin Line.
’This changes many things. But first, let me see if the Wolfman can actually be used as fillers.’
Carter designed his first Wolfman. It was a tall man with silver hair and a few scars running on his face. His body also had many scars to show how much he had experienced.

Different from Human, Wolfman had two design steps. One for man, and one for wolf.

He designed the wolf as big as he could with a shiny silver fur. The wolf was still nowhere near the werewolves that Carter liked. But it would do for now.

Then he fired up the Skin Fusion. Carter didn’t have much skins to fuse at the moment. But he still had two copies of Terror Bat from before.
’The moment of truth.’
Carter dropped in the Terror Bat. The available filler options showed up.
The human skins and Dracula was there. Then there was also Silver Wolf.
’Heh. It does work. If this is the case... A proper Werewolf should be born very soon.’
Carter didn’t fuse Terror Bat and Silver Wolf though. The thematic just wasn’t there. He kept it for later.

Carter transformed from the Skeleton back to the pale man. The Undead Wolfmen lost control for a seconds but immediately calmed down as Carter used Undead Authority.
"Follow me."
Carter sat onto a wolf and led them back to the City of Ghosts.
In the other side of the forest, the Wolfmen gathered. Everyone was as pale as an Undead.
"What was that thing?! It didn’t reason. It didn’t hesitate. It’s as if... It’s death reincarnation."
"Shut up! Don’t kid yourself! That thing is only an Undead!"
"What kind of Undead only has a skeleton?"
"Then what do you think it is?"
The Wolfmen barked at each other. They were never allies and couldn’t work together. It showed very clearly when disaster struck.
"Shut the hell up, all of you! The Alphas are risking their lives to buy us some times! We need to get out of here before it came for us!"
"They’re dead."
That sentence silenced the entire Wolfmen. The Manley Alpha walked out from the bushes. There were many terrified wounds on his body.
If Carter was here, he would be rather surprised. Because he didn’t hurt the Manley Alpha that much. Those wounds were self-inflicted.
"That thing is too strong. We couldn’t win. The remaining Alphas are probably dead by now."
"Then why are you here?" A Wolfman asked the important question.
"I am here because they entrusted me with the future of the Wolf Blood.
Bryan Grayson. Lance Ashborn. And most important, my rival, Isaac Farrow. I didn’t think he would entrust the future of our kind to me. After everything I had done."
The Manley Alpha raised his hands, "I, Richard Manley, shall lead our kind to greatness and protect us in this difficult times. I will not disappoint the brothers and sisters that died for us.
Now, we must go! We must get far away from that thing as possible."
Maise Farrow squinted her eyes. He knew her father well. That petty old man wouldn’t save Richard even if he had the chances. There was something odd about this. But Maise was smart enough to keep her mouth shut.
The Wolfmen got far away from Luandon. They headed to the rural areas of Anglas to lay low.
Carter had led his new Undead puppies back to the City of Ghosts.
