Chapter 73: Wanderer Unbound
"Stop right there!" A naked man approached the skeleton and raised a hand.
He froze as he saw the skull underneath the hood of the purple cloak.
"What the?!"
The mark on the skeleton glowed brighter. A black scythe appeared in its hand as it sliced over the Wolfman.
It was so fast that he wasn’t even allowed to transform into a wolf.

The tribesman nearby screamed.
All the Alphas stood up.
"What’s happening?!"
The other Wolfmen transformed immediately. They were Awaken, sure, but they were still just ordinary sized wolf. Carter had no fear.
Especially while he’s wearing a skin as strong as the Skeleton Knight.
Another Wolfman launched at him. His scythe cut the wolf in two. The dog whimpered as life left him instantly.

The skeleton growled in satisfaction as he could feel the power of the Necron Force slowly grew in him.
"What is this monster?"
The wolves attacked him at the same time. One plunged at his neck. Two bit his ankles. Two more caught his wrists to restrain him.
"Heh. Heh." The skeleton growled.
It spun and threw all the wolves away. Its scythe turned into a whip and snapped at a wolf.
Carter pulled him closer. His whip turned into a black knife that went inside the skull of the wolf.
The wolf fell to the ground floppily. It turned back into a woman once it was dead.
"Annie!"
Another Wolfman rushed at him.
Carter’s weapon changed again. The bow and quiver appeared. He grabbed an arrow and pulled the bowstring. The green arrow pierced through the nose of the wolf.
Carter shot relentlessly, turning the wolf into a porcupine.
The Wolfman fell to the ground before he could even reach melee range with Carter. Countless arrows plunged in his body. The wolf turned back to a cold human corpse.
More Wolfmen came to his location. There must be hundreds of them already. If these Wolfmen attacked the City of Ghosts, certainly Delilah would have quite a difficult time to deal with them.
She would win obviously, but she would have to pay a heap price.
The skeleton smiled. It raised its hand.
The corpse of the slain Wolfmen stood up. Green light covered them.
"What’s happening?!" A Wolfman widened his eyes as one of his former comrade risen from the dead.
The corpses turned gray immediately. They jumped forward and transformed into Undead Wolves and attacked their former allies.
"Oscar! What you’re doing?! Stop this at once!"
"Ron! No! Don’t let it control you."
"Annie... What have you become?"
The Skeleton Knight and its Undead Wolves slaughtered the Wolfmen like pigs. With each dying Wolf Blood, more Undead raised up.
The Skeleton Knight was unstoppable. No one could stop it. The Undead just kept growing more and more with time.
The Alphas joined the battle.
"Everyone got out of here! Its Corruption is very contagious! You’re only here to make its stronger."
The Wolfmen retreated. But Carter didn’t let them. He ordered the Undead Wolves to attack the deserters. He was here to collect Skin Shards after all.
"That skeleton is controlling the Undead! We must stop it!"
The Alphas transformed and rushed at Carter.
"Heh. Heh. Come." The skeleton growled.
’It can talk! This thing is not a Mindless Undead.’
The Alpha Wolves were bigger, stronger, and faster than the remaining Wolfmen. But still, they were weak.
Carter summoned his scythe gain and started spinning chaotically. The Alphas weren’t even able to come close to him.
His scythe turned to a whip and he snapped it toward the Grayson Alpha, pulling him over.
The Ashborn jumped over and bit at the whip, buying the Grayson Alpha just enough time to get rid of the restraint.
The Manley and the Farrow jumped at him from behind.
"Heh." The skeleton chuckled.
Their teeth sank through the purple cloak and into Carter’s bare bones.
The Farrow Alpha’s fangs shattered.
’What?’ The wolf whimpered.
The Manley Alpha was no better. His teeth were intact but his jaw was sore and he couldn’t break the defense of the bone as well.
Carter grabbed the purple cloak and pulled it off.
"Wanderer... Unbound."
A wave of green energy blasted from within the Skeleton, sending both Alphas always.
Necron Force wrapped around the Skeleton. A suit of armor materialized into existence.
Eldritch Knight’s original armor was black with feathers like a raven.
Eldritch Skeleton Knight’s armor had a shiny metallic color. It was a traditional suit of armor with a helmet that covered the entirety of the face. Only a V-shape gap was there to let the Skeleton Knight see the outside.
Carter didn’t really need the gap. With Sonar Echolocation and the Perception Skill, he could see the battlefield as well as normal, mitigating any drawbacks the helmet had.
’What is even this thing?’ The Grayson gasped for air.
The Skeleton Knight rushed over. His speed was even greater than the Eldritch Knight. He had an Elite Free-Running Skill after all.
However, his combat skill was nowhere near the Eldritch Knight.
Eldritch Knight had the Elite swordsmanship skill.
Skeleton Knight only had a Level 5 Multi-Weapon Training. It was well-versed with all its weapon. But could easily be overwhelmed with Elite Sword skill.
The Skeleton slammed the scythe downward toward the Grayson Alpha. The scythe had changed as well. Instead of the black scythe, it was now a bone scythe.
The weapon felt as if it was Carter’s own body part in his hand.
"Please! Mercy!" The Grayson Alpha turned back to human and shouted. But it was too late.
The Bone Scythe went through his body and sliced it in two. Each half fell floppily to either side.
The remaining Alpha Wolves inhaled in fear.
The Skeleton Knight turned back. On its chest armor was a green circle that slowly ticking down.
The Manley Alpha howled. ’Everyone for themselves!’
The wolf turned and ran without looking back.
’Coward!’ The Farrow Alpha and the Ashborn Alpha stayed.
Their tribesmen had not escaped yet. They must buy time for them. Even if that meant they must die.
The Skeleton Knight walked toward them menacingly. The Bone Scythe dragged on the ground.
Carter looked like the grim reaper coming to take the dead away.
