Piss Off, Alpha! You Lost Me Forever

Chapter 211 Wake Up. Please.

THIRD PERSON’S POV

The emergency room was silent. Doctors and nurses moved quickly.

Outside the glass doors, Zade stood frozen. His eyes were locked on the scene unfolding inside as Sophia lay motionless on the bed.

His hands were clenched tightly at his sides. His knuckles had gone pale from the force of it. His wolf was restless. It kept pacing wildly inside him, growling in frustration and fear. It had never felt like this before, never this out of control, never this helpless.

Zade’s breathing was uneven as he watched the doctors work on her.

“Do something,” he muttered under his breath “Please... just do something.”

A nurse rushed past him, pushing through the doors with more equipment. The beeping of machines filled the space.

He pressed his palm against the glass. His eyes never left Sophia’s pale face.

“This isn’t how it ends,” he whispered.

For a man like Zade, who had faced countless dangers without flinching, this moment shattered him completely. His wolf, usually proud and dominant, now whimpered inside him, reacting to the fear of losing the one person it had chosen.

“Wake up...” he said “Sophia, please... wake up.”

Time passed, though he couldn’t tell how much. It felt endless, like he had been standing there forever.

He felt so worried. His mind was filled with memories of her – how kind she was, her stubbornness, her strength, the way she always stood her ground even when she was hurting.

“I won’t push you anymore,” he said suddenly. “Do you hear me? I won’t force anything. Just... come back.”

His eyes burned as tears finally fell. That was something he never thought would happen so easily. Zade wasn’t a man who cried. He was feared, respected, untouchable to most. But right now, none of that mattered.

“If you wake up, I swear I’ll stop,” he continued. “I’ll wait. I’ll do it your way. Just don’t leave like this.”

Inside the room, the doctors moved faster. One of them called out instructions, while another adjusted the IV line.

Then suddenly, the beeping sound changed. It steadied.

The movements inside slowed.

Zade’s eyes widened slightly.

A doctor stepped back, letting out a quiet breath, and one of the nurses nodded.

“She’s stabilizing,” someone said.

Zade didn’t wait.

The moment the doors opened, he pushed inside. He didn’t care about the rules. He didn’t care about anything except reaching her. His wolf was filled with relief.

Sophia lay on the bed. Her face was still pale, but her breathing was steady now.

She was alive.

Zade stopped beside her, staring at her as if he needed to confirm it for himself.

“Sophia...” he called softly.

Her fingers twitched slightly. Then slowly, her eyes opened.

She looked weak but it was enough.

Zade let out a breath he didn’t realize he had been holding. His entire body relaxed all at once. He reached out and grabbed her hand, holding it tightly, almost as if he was afraid she would disappear again.

“You’re awake,” he said. “You’re really awake.”

Sophia blinked slowly. Her gaze was unfocused at first, but then it settled on him.

“Zade...” she whispered.

That was all it took.

He leaned forward immediately, pulling her into his arms, as if he couldn’t hold himself back anymore. His grip tightened around her. He pressed his face into her hair as he held her close.

“Don’t do that again,” he said. “Don’t ever scare me like that again.”

Sophia was too weak to push him away. She didn’t even try.

For a moment, she simply stayed there, letting him hold her.

“I thought I lost you,” he continued. “I thought... that was it.”

She closed her eyes briefly. Her body was still weak, but her heart stirred at his words.

“I’m okay,” she said softly.

“No,” he shook his head “You’re not and that’s exactly why I’m not letting go.”

Before she could respond, he pulled back just enough to look at her.

His eyes were red. Right now, his expression was raw.

Then suddenly, he leaned in and kissed her.

It wasn’t gentle. It wasn’t hesitant.

It was intense, filled with everything he had been holding back. His hand moved to her face, holding her firmly as his lips pressed against hers.

Sophia froze.

Her eyes widened slightly. Her heart raced in her chest.

She should have pushed him away. She should have stopped him, but she didn’t.

Because in that moment, she felt everything he was trying to say without words.

After a few seconds, he pulled back. His breathing was heavy.

“I love you,” he said directly “I’ve been holding it in, but I’m done doing that.”

Sophia stared at him, stunned.

“You don’t have to say anything,” he continued quickly. “Just listen to me.”

His hand tightened around hers.

“Let me be with you,” he said. “Let me take care of you. Not just you... Ashley too.”

Her heart skipped.

“I know I can’t erase the past,” he added. “I know what Damien put you through but I can give you something different, something better.”

Sophia didn’t speak. Her mind was too overwhelmed. She still felt weak and her emotions were too tangled.

“I’ll protect you,” he said. “I’ll stand by you. I won’t leave when things get hard. I want to be your man.”

The room fell silent again.

-

Outside the ward, the atmosphere was completely different.

Tiffany stood by the corridor, crossing her arms. Her expression was unreadable as she looked through the glass window. Her wolf stirred inside her. Her wolf was uneasy, irritated, and ....jealous.

She had seen everything.

She saw how Zade panicked, how he cried, the way he held Sophia like she was the only thing that mattered.

“So this is how it is,” she murmured under her breath.

Her eyes darkened.

All this time, she had believed she could win him over. She had thought that with enough effort, enough patience, she could replace Sophia in his heart.

But what she saw just now shattered that illusion completely.

“He doesn’t even look at anyone else,” she said quietly.

Her wolf growled softly inside her, feeling restless and displeased.

At the same time, a few steps away, Damien leaned back against the wall, closing his eyes. He was exhausted.

The tension, the worry, the anger - it had all drained him completely.

Tiffany glanced at him briefly. She stepped closer and let him rest against her shoulder.

Damien didn’t resist. His body relaxed slightly as he leaned against her. His breathing evened out as sleep finally took over.

He didn’t see what had just happened inside that room.

He didn’t see Zade holding Sophia.

He didn’t see the kiss.

And maybe... That was the only reason he could sleep at all.
