Piss Off, Alpha! You Lost Me Forever

Chapter 207 Everything Is About To Change

THIRD PERSON’S POV

The morning light had already filled the hospital room completely.

Sophia lay quietly on the bed. The fever had gone down, but her body had not yet recovered, and even in sleep, her expression was tense, as if her mind refused to rest completely.

Beside her, Zade finally slept. He didn’t sleep through the night. He sat in the chair close to the bed, sleeping.

His hand was still tightly wrapped around Sophia’s. His fingers interlocked with hers as if letting go was not an option.

Even in sleep, his grip did not loosen.

Dark circles had formed under his eyes. His breathing was slow and even, but his hand still held hers firmly. It was as if his body had shut down, but his instinct to protect her had not.

The room was silent, filled only with the small sounds of the hospital equipment and their breathing.

Outside, the world continued as usual, but inside, everything felt paused. Sophia stirred slightly in her sleep

Time passed slowly.

Then suddenly, a loud vibration broke the silence.

Zade’s phone, resting on the table beside him, began to buzz repeatedly.

Sophia’s phone lit up as well.

Message after message cam. The notifications piled up.

Sophia shifted slightly in her sleep. Slowly, her eyes opened.

Then she felt it, Zade’s hand.

Her eyes moved to where their fingers were still intertwined. His grip was firm even in sleep. For a moment, she simply stared at it.

Then the phone buzzed again. Her attention shifted.

She reached slowly for her phone with her free hand, careful not to disturb Zade too much. When she saw the screen, her expression changed immediately.

It was a message from Damien.

Message after message filled the screen.

“Where are you?”

“Come back to the hospital immediately.”

“Ashley needs you.”

“Stop ignoring me and answer your phone.”

Her grip tightened slightly around the phone. Her jaw clenched as she read each message. The words were commanding, as if he was giving orders instead of asking for help.

Her chest tightened, but not with guilt. Instead, she felt angry.

Her fingers hovered over the screen for a moment, as if she was considering replying. But then her expression went hard. She silenced the phone completely and turned the screen face down.

She didn’t reply.

She didn’t even consider it again.

She looked back at Zade. He was still asleep.

Even now, even in this vulnerable state, he had not let go of her.

Something in her chest softened.

Carefully, she shifted her hand slightly, but his grip tightened, as if he felt her movement even in sleep. His brows furrowed but he didn’t wake.

Sophia froze.

For a moment, she simply looked at him.

“You’re really...” she murmured softly.

She didn’t finish the sentence. She didn’t know how to.

A soft knock came from the door.

Come in,” she said quietly.

The door opened, and Patricia stepped inside.

Her eyes immediately landed on Zade, still asleep by the bedside with his hand tightly holding Sophia’s. she looked surprised.

She closed the door gently behind her.

“He stayed all night?” Patricia asked quietly.

Sophia nodded “Yes.”

Patricia stepped closer. She looked at Zade for a moment longer. There was something thoughtful in her eyes.

“He didn’t leave even once?” she asked again.

“No,” Sophia replied.

Patricia let out a small breath, shaking her head with a smile.

“That man...” she murmured.

She turned back to Sophia.

“Thank him for me when he wakes up,” she said. “Not many people would do this.”

Sophia didn’t respond immediately. Her eyes drifted back to Zade.

“I know,” she said quietly.

Patricia smiled “Let him rest. He looks exhausted.”

Sophia nodded.

Patricia hesitated for a moment, then added, “I’ll talk to the staff. He can stay here as long as he wants.”

Sophia looked at her, surprised. “Really?”

Patricia nodded. “Anyone who takes care of you like this deserves that much.”

Sophia didn’t argue.

Patricia turned and left the room quietly, closing the door behind her.

The room fell silent again.

Sophia looked down at their joined hands. slowly, she smiled.

Meanwhile, in another part of the hospital, the atmosphere was completely different.

Ashley lay on the hospital bed. Her small body shook under the blankets. Her face was red. Her breathing was heavy. The fever that had seemed to fade earlier had returned with greater force, burning through her body.

Damien stood beside the bed. His expression was filled with worry. His hands were clenched tightly at his sides.

“Ashley,” he called softly. “Stay awake.”

But Ashley didn’t respond clearly.

Her eyes were half-open, unfocused. Her lipe moved as if she was trying to say something.

“Water,” a nurse said quickly, moving closer.

But Ashley shook her head weakly.

“No...” she murmured.

Her voice was hoarse, barely audible.

Damien leaned closer. “What is it?”

Ashley’s lips moved again.

“...Mom...” she whispered.

The word hit Damien hard.

“Call her,” he said immediately, turning to the nurse. “Call Sophia now.”

The nurse nodded and quickly pulled out her phone.

“What’s her number?” she asked.

Ashley’s eyes fluttered. Her voice was weak as she began to recite the number slowly.

The nurse quickly dialed the number.

The phone rang, and rang, and rang. There was no answer.

The nurse frowned slightly and tried again. Still nothing.

Damien’s expression got darker. “Try again,”

The nurse obeyed, dialing once more, but the result was the same.

No answer.

Damien’s jaw clenched tightly. He felt frustrated.

“Why isn’t she answering?” he snapped.

No one responded.

Ashley stirred again. Her small body shook as the fever moved higher. Her breathing became even higher and her face was redder now. Her condition was clearly worsening.

“Doctor!” a nurse called urgently.

The room suddenly filled with tension.

“Her temperature is rising again,” another nurse said quickly.

“Prepare for emergency treatment,” the doctor ordered.

Everything moved quickly after that.

Machines were adjusted, medications prepared. Ashley was carefully lifted. Her small body looked even more fragile.

Damien stood frozen for a second, watching everything unfold. His heart pounded painfully in his chest.

“Ashley!” he called.

But she didn’t respond. Her eyes had closed completely now.

“She’s losing consciousness,” a nurse said urgently.

“Move!” the doctor ordered.

Ashley was rushed out of the room. Damien followed immediately. His mind was in complete chaos.

And somewhere else in the hospital, Sophia sat beside the bed, her hand still held tightly in Zade’s, unaware that everything was about to change again.
