Leisurely Farm Life in Beast World

Ji Nuan nodded, feeling a bit worried about Maomao and the others. After all, compared to these carnivorous wild beasts, the Camel’s combat abilities had a notable gap.

After tying the straps of her Beast Skin shoes tightly, Ji Nuan grabbed a long blade and stepped outside.

Outside the tent, the area was already surrounded by wild beasts. When Ji Nuan saw this pack of creatures, she almost dropped the blade in her hand.

What the heck is this thing? Could it be some hybrid of wolf and deer? A deer’s head, a wolf’s body, sharp claws, and two protruding horns on its head—it looked like a creature made for combat.

Wow, the Beast World truly is vast; there’s no end to the strange beasts one can encounter!

The wild beasts crouched low, growling out waves of threatening sounds toward the tent.

A few hybrid creatures were already sprawled out near the camp, likely having succumbed to the powder and lost consciousness.

These hybrids were clearly more intelligent than the Desert Wolf beasts previously encountered. Seeing the state of a few of their companions, they hesitated to move further forward.

Yet their long drooling stares at Maomao and the others outside the tent, paired with occasional glances at Ji Nuan and Xiu Yan, carried a distinct look of disdain. It almost gave off an air of wounded pride!

Were these creatures seriously mocking the lack of meat on her and Xiu Yan’s bodies?

One particularly impatient hybrid couldn’t resist temptation and charged at the camp, only to predictably end up sprawled out with the others.

Still, this seemed to have frightened the rest of them. Perhaps their hesitation came from having some deer blood lineage after all.

Compared to Desert Wolf beasts, these hybrids were rather timid. Ji Nuan could already see a few starting to retreat slowly.

No way she’d let that happen—just by rough estimation, this group of hybrids seemed larger than the Desert Wolf beasts they’d encountered before. If they could secure this food, it would make their future food-gathering efforts much easier.

Ji Nuan took out a pouch of powder from her small Beast Skin satchel and handed it to Xiu Yan, then glanced at the nearby fire pit still blazing not far ahead.

The Orc understood immediately. Amid the hybrids’ wary gazes, he moved forward and tossed the leaf-wrapped bundle directly into the flames.

The flames greedily consumed the small packet, and wisps of faint white smoke began to drift up as the fire burned.

The first to suffer were the hybrids closest to the fire pit and those downwind.

At that moment, some of the hybrids began to sense danger; tails tucked between their legs, they turned to flee.

Xiu Yan wasn’t about to give them the chance. Fixing his sights on a cluster of hybrids, he moved swiftly and pounced.

To Ji Nuan’s surprise, Maomao and a few companions didn’t hold back at all—they actually started fighting several hybrids nearby.

Spotting two hybrids attempting to escape to the right of the tent, Ji Nuan shifted her form into Demi-beast form and lunged toward them.

The two hybrids were stunned. An Orc coming out to battle was one thing, but this seemingly weak little female daring to challenge their beastly pride—unacceptable!

But reality served them a harsh lesson: never underestimate your enemy, even if they appear to be a small, soft-looking female.

After all, she was a fifth-level evolved beast. Weak? Well, only in comparison to abnormal beings like Xiu Yan. Dealing with hybrids like this...

Ji Nuan thought to herself: although her arm had been scratched and injured, her combat experience had significantly improved.

With a sharp swing of her long blade, she severed the head of the second hybrid. Panting heavily, Ji Nuan leaned on her knees to catch her breath.
