Leisurely Farm Life in Beast World

Chapter 602 - 601, Comfort_1

Ji Nuan’s eyes were sincere and serious. Ya Li, the towering orc, blushed almost instantly. He lifted his head high, but the sunlight shooting directly into his eyes brought tears flowing down.

He quickly lowered his head to wipe the tears from his eyes. "The sun is really glaring today," he muttered.

Ji Nuan’s little hand made a small tent above his eyes, looking up at the gentle sunlight, and earnestly nodded his head. "Indeed, it is very glaring. You shouldn’t stare directly at it. It’s not good for your eyes."

"I want to be your guardian orc, the kind that’s purely to protect you," Ya Li said very seriously.

"Meow Meow~" A soft meowing sound attracted the attention of both of them.

Looking down, Ji Nuan saw a tiny furball pawing at his shoes, looking utterly adorable.

Ji Nuan quickly picked up the little creature, "Meow Meow, how did you get here?"

The little one scratched at Ji Nuan’s small waist bag, puffing out its chest, "Meow Meow Meow~"

Ji Nuan looked at Ya Li.

Ya Li twitched his mouth, "She says she wants to learn about herbs and healing too."

Ji Nuan gently petted the cat, "Of course! I will teach you as long as you want to learn."

The tiny furball was utterly thrilled, rubbing repeatedly against Ji Nuan’s hand, leaving a trail of flying fur.

Ya Li took the furball into his own arms and pinched her plump behind, "Stop rubbing around, you’ve got Shaman covered in hair!"

"Meow!" The furball instantly fluffed up its fur, claws at the ready, incensed by Ya Li’s claim that it was shedding.

Unfortunately for it, Ya Li was well-aware of its tactics. He grabbed all four paws and instantly turned the furball into a little furball.

Turning to Ji Nuan, he said with deliberate seriousness, "Let’s go, Shaman, there are more important things to do."

When Ji Nuan and Ya Li arrived at Uncle Ge Xing’s home, Aunt Naima and Tu Yaoyao were preparing food. They were a bit surprised as they greeted her, but soon regained their cheer. "Little Ji Nuan is here. Come in and sit down."

Ji Nuan sat down on a beast skin cushion and took a bite out of the fruit that Tu Yaoyao handed to her, "This fruit is really sweet," she said with a beaming smile.

Tu Yaoyao shyly replied, "Amu and I found it in the forest behind the tribe."

Ji Nuan took another bite, "I’ll also pick some and bring them back, they’re delicious."

"Why bother when we can just gather some for you on our next trip," Chief Ge Xing’s voice came from the bedroom.

As he walked out of the room, his fluffy, well-groomed golden hair perched on his head like a bird’s nest, making for quite a funny sight.

Aunt Naima shot him a disgruntled look, "I’ll gather fruits for Little Ji Nuan on my trip tomorrow. You better clean up your appearance, you look silly!" She huffed and turned her nose away.

Ji Nuan shook her head, finding the situation amusing.

After Chief Ge Xing finished freshening up, he casually took a piece of fruit and sat down across from Ji Nuan. "What’s up, Little Ji Nuan?" he asked.

Ji Nuan looked at Uncle Ge Xing, "I want to select some tribesfolk and form a healing group, teaching them healing methods and how to identify herbs."

Chief Ge Xing’s heart skipped a beat, he cautiously asked, "What made you think of this, Little Ji Nuan? Aren’t you there in the tribe already?"

Looking at Chief Ge Xing’s expression, Ji Nuan knew he was overthinking again.
