Ji Nuan instantly smiled, the two orcs sure cared about their dignity. Did they tell her this plan separately because they were afraid the others would mock them if they knew about the escape plan?

"Chirp! Chirp chirp~" Suddenly, the small animal in her arms made a flurry of anxious noises.

While Ji Nuan was not paying attention, it jumped out from her arms, hopped around at her feet, and continuously clawed at the ground below.

Ji Nuan was somewhat perplexed at the series of actions from the little fellow.

Standing behind Ji Nuan, Xiu Yan’s face suddenly changed. He reached out with his long arm and pulled Ji Nuan into his arms, grabbed the little furball still scratching the ground, and quickly jumped back several steps.

The orc looked up at Xiu Yan, then immediately lowered his head again, remaining silent.

A smirk appeared on the corner of Xiu Yan’s mouth, "Don’t want to talk?"

He glanced around, walked over and lifted Ji Nuan into his arms, and said, "Let’s leave. Everyone, let’s go rest by the river for a while."

Puzzled, Ji Nuan looked up at Xiu Yan, unaware of why the orc had suddenly changed the subject. She could only obediently curl up in his arms, blinking up at him.

Xiu Yan smiled and said, "You’ll understand soon."

Muttering to himself, Ya Li said, "That wolf is definitely up to something."

He received a icy stare from Xiu Yan, and quickly turned his attention to Mo Qi, "Oh my, this weather is killing all of us, even the snakes can’t bear it."
