As an Uchiha I became the Jinchuriki of Senju Tobirama

Chapter 413 413: From Enemies to Eyemates

It was a rather counterintuitive phenomenon.

The Uchiha Clan, though often referred to as the "Red-Eyed Clan," typically had jet-black irises before awakening the Sharingan…

Yet Tobirama, despite being a Senju, had naturally red eyes.

The world had turned on its head.

"Izuna, you—what is this?!" Uchiha Madara was struck by a wave of confusion, staring at the pair of eyes he had once loathed more than anything—now embedded in his younger brother's sockets. He was completely thrown off.

No way…

Were Senju Tobirama and Izuna secretly brothers or something? They could just swap eyes like that?

Madara knew full well:

After he and Izuna had swapped eyes and he awakened the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan—

Many pairs of brothers within the Uchiha Clan had tried to replicate this miraculous power by following the same method, in pursuit of greater strength.

But most had ended up dead, or at best gained no increase in ocular power—sometimes even suffered mutual rejection. Uchiha Itachi had once explained this to Sasuke in the original timeline.

After countless failures, the Uchiha had no choice but to accept the bitter truth:

They were mere mortals—unable to compare to the likes of Madara and Izuna.

But now, today—

As Madara nervously examined Izuna's eyes, aside from finding the sight incredibly unpleasant… there didn't seem to be any actual issue?

And when the two legendary shinobi slammed the table in unison, glaring at Senju Tobirama—

All the other shinobi present—

Uzumaki Mito, Sarutobi Hiruzen, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and the rest—revealed complicated expressions, as though this sort of spectacle had become oddly familiar.

Even Minato and Kushina, the gentle and upright type, simply nodded thoughtfully in silence.

A thick vein bulged on Tobirama's forehead.

It wasn't just his dim-witted, perpetually distrustful elder brother anymore—now even his sister-in-law, the monkey, Little Tsunade, and even that damn blond brat all seemed to harbor some sort of prejudice against him!

Can everyone just stop assuming that every bizarre situation is part of my scheme?!

I—Senju Tobirama—have devoted myself wholly to the betterment of the shinobi world!

Uchiha Izuna, though somewhat embarrassed to be caught swapping eyes with that bastard, couldn't help but curl his lips into a small smile when he caught a glimpse of Tobirama's rising blood pressure.

Not a bad trade-off, really…

"Don't worry, Brother…"

Uchiha Izuna slowly activated his Mangekyō Sharingan. The patterns in his crimson eyes had subtly changed, and his ocular power surged—stronger than ever before.

The moment he saw the worried look on Madara's face, Izuna immediately understood what was on his brother's mind.

In truth, he had been concerned as well.

With such a dire enemy looming over them, if the eye transplant had caused rejection, it would have meant the loss of two powerful Mangekyō Sharingan.

That would have been a catastrophic blow to Kazuki's support and to the entire Allied Shinobi Forces.

What truly caught Izuna off guard—was how Senju Tobirama had simply reached out and plucked the pair of Mangekyō right out!

Just like that. Right in front of him. Without a shred of hesitation.

Once upon a time, Senju Tobirama and Uchiha Izuna had been bitter rivals, calculating every move in their relentless struggle, each trying to seize the smallest advantage in battle—fighting day and night with blood and cunning...

Uchiha Izuna never imagined there would come a day when Senju Tobirama would show him such trust…

Even now, though they had temporarily allied, Izuna still maintained constant vigilance toward Tobirama.

That was also why he had immediately noticed how Tobirama had… actually started acting like Madara's cheerleader.

That broad-minded, forthright attitude—paired with the way Tobirama, after removing his eyes, hadn't even bothered to explain himself, just wore that impatient expression—

It made Izuna feel like not going through with the eye exchange would have made him seem petty!

Moreover—

Izuna had begun to reason through another layer of logic…

This was Senju Tobirama they were talking about. Once the Second Hokage and the notorious mad scientist of forbidden jutsu—of course he had been paying attention to the Uchiha's eye-swapping behavior.

If he dared to go through with it so casually, then it meant he had researched it thoroughly and confirmed it was safe.

As much as Izuna believed Tobirama deserved to die, when it came to his knowledge of the Uchiha, he begrudgingly… trusted him.

After all—your most terrifying enemy is often the one who understands you best.

And Tobirama hadn't let him down.

After the eye transplant, there wasn't even the slightest trace of rejection. Their ocular powers blended together with flawless synergy—seamlessly complementing one another.

From Tobirama's residence to the Hokage Building, Uchiha Izuna's eye power had been increasing at a breathtaking pace—

It was simply unbelievable.

"No way… how is this possible?" Madara stared, Mangekyō Sharingan wide, stunned by the overwhelming surge in his brother's chakra. The sheer spike in Izuna's ocular power was making his head spin.

Back then, when he'd transplanted Izuna's Mangekyō into himself, it hadn't increased this quickly either…

Even Hashirama was frozen on the spot.

The so-called "God of Shinobi" started spinning mental gears, then asked blankly, "Tobirama… were you secretly adopted by our father? Are you actually Madara and Izuna's long-lost brother?"

Beside him, Uzumaki Mito, Tsunade, and Kushina were all struggling to contain their laughter…

This kind of absurd, melodramatic plot twist couldn't even be found in the novels written for the daimyō's wives in the capital.

Who would've thought that a grown man like Hashirama enjoyed reading that kind of stuff?

"Brother, could you not make things worse?" Tobirama couldn't hold it anymore. Hashirama's nonsense was practically rewriting his entire family history.

"Do none of you understand yet? The so-called 'Eternal Mangekyō' of the Uchiha Clan—its core requirement isn't some nonsense about blood brothers. It lies in the chakra of Indra."

Tobirama's tone turned cold.

"As long as both parties possess Mangekyō Sharingan, then through eye transplantation—stimulating the Indra chakra and awakening the bloodline—it becomes possible to manifest the Eternal Mangekyō." Thᴇ link to the origɪn of this information rᴇsts ɪn 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩~𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖~𝙣𝙚𝙩

"Madara may be the reincarnation of Indra, but when you revived Izuna… knowing you, you must have poured your own life force and chakra into him."

Tobirama glanced at Madara. "Hmph. I'd even wager you included the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path in the process. After all—Uchiha will go to any lengths… for the sake of their brothers."

Madara fell silent.

Damn it… it was like this Senju Tobirama had some kind of prophetic insight—he had guessed everything perfectly!

"I may not have Indra's chakra, but I do have Kazuki—who's far more powerful—and he's always shoving chakra into me…"

Senju Tobirama let out a sigh. "I told him no, but Kazuki wouldn't take no for an answer. So really, I had no choice."

"That's why I thought of having Uchiha Izuna swap eyes with me—so both our ocular powers would strengthen, and we'd be better prepared to face the enemy…"

Uchiha Izuna shot Tobirama a disgruntled glance.

Yeah, right!

Kazuki shoved his chakra into you? More like you talked him into it with that silver tongue of yours!

"Monkey, what are you laughing at?"

Tobirama fixed a cold stare on Sarutobi Hiruzen, whose head was lowered and lips were twitching. "Did I say something funny?"

"No, Tobirama-sama."

Hiruzen's expression snapped back to seriousness, cold sweat soaking his back. He raised his head with utmost solemnity and declared: "I was simply marveling at your profound insight, sensei!"

Truthfully, watching Tobirama brag about Kazuki had reminded him of that one time he'd tried to seal away his own sensei, and the memory had tickled him into a chuckle…

But he hadn't expected that with the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, Tobirama's vision would be this sharp—

Even the smallest smirk couldn't escape his notice!

Tobirama sneered silently. It was only because of the imminent threat they faced that he didn't have time to settle the score with this damn monkey…

But whether it was the zero-mark test paper, or that ridiculous misunderstanding about his bond with Kazuki, or even the attempted Dead Demon Consuming Seal—

Senju Tobirama had jotted all of it down in his mental little black book.

One day, he would make Hiruzen pay every last debt in full.

"This farce has gone on long enough! What comes next… is deciding the fate of the entire shinobi world."

Tobirama slammed the table hard and cast a cutting glance at both Hashirama and Madara. "You two—sit down!"

Hashirama chuckled sheepishly, rubbed the back of his head, and gently tugged Madara down with him.

"First, I want to emphasize this—don't let your judgment be clouded by past controversies or my prior actions."

Tobirama deliberately swept his gaze across Hashirama, Uzumaki Mito, and Sarutobi Hiruzen, and said slowly: "No one wants to save this world more than I do. No one wants to help Kazuki out of his plight more than I do."

A moment of silence fell across the conference table.

Now that the Allied Shinobi Forces had been formed, and everyone understood the bond between Kazuki and Tobirama—on this point, no one raised any doubts.

"Kazuki is not currently being influenced by Ōtsutsuki chakra. On the contrary, he's already conquered the Ōtsutsuki Kaguya within him… and gained a level of power we can't even begin to comprehend."

Tobirama's words shocked everyone present.

"Wait, so… does that mean we don't have to prepare for a fight against Kazuki anymore?" Namikaze Minato let out a long sigh, visibly relieved.

He truly didn't want to go up against Kazuki.

First, because of the prophecy from Mount Myōboku—he and Jiraiya had clearly misjudged Kazuki and made some rather poor decisions because of it…

And second—fighting Kazuki, even back when he'd first appeared, was enough to make anyone despair. Let alone now, when he stood at his peak…

Even a genius like Minato had no desire to march into a battle they had no hope of winning.
