Chapter 106: Step Aside, I Can’t Be Bothered to Kill You

"Mr. Chu is right. These guys are truly treacherous."

Shang Yifei had already seen through the burly man’s team’s objective.

They wanted to separate the strong from the weak to avoid wasting time,

then toss the weak into the air like sandbags to attract the White Bone Evil Spirit’s attention.

This would create an opening that even the White Bone Evil Spirit couldn’t cover, giving them a chance to escape.

It wasn’t just Shang Yifei; the other Martial Artists had more or less figured it out as well.

They immediately stopped following orders, scattering in all directions and putting distance between themselves and the burly man’s team.

But how could the weaker ones possibly escape?

One after another, they were caught and thrown into the air like sandbags.

In just a few seconds, dozens of Martial Artists, their faces pale with terror, were hanging in midair.

Sure enough, the massive White Bone Tree began to shake. Streaks of White Bone Vines shot out like whips, piercing straight through the dozens of Martial Artists.

At the same time, the White Bone Vines that had penetrated them exploded into countless Bone Spikes,

instantly turning the Martial Artists’ bodies into sieves. Blood and gore rained down everywhere.

"Even this many isn’t enough?" The leather-clad woman’s expression changed.

"It’s fine. There are plenty more people here."

A savage grin on his face, the burly man walked up to Shang Yifei and reached for her with a hand as large as a cattail fan.

Uncle Dog immediately stepped forward to block him.

The burly man merely shot him a cold glance and sneered, "An old relic like you dares to stand in my way?"

"Before the Emperor Realm emerged, there was a well-known consensus: even within the King’s Realm, there is a world of difference between cultivators."

"Today, I’ll let an old fool like you learn what it means to be the cloud, and what it means to be the mud!"

The burly man’s palm morphed into a fist, which cut through the air with a piercing whistle like a bolt of lightning.

In the blink of an eye, the fist slammed viciously into Uncle Dog’s chest.

With a dull thud, Uncle Dog staggered backward, a trickle of blood leaking from the corner of his mouth.

Uncle Dog could feel the Elemental Power inside him thrown into utter chaos.

’If I force myself to fight again, I probably won’t just lose... I’ll die here.’

Uncle Dog had never imagined

that the burly man, also in the King’s Realm, would be so much stronger than him.

’Am I really getting old?’

"Get out of my way, old man. I can’t be bothered to kill you!" the burly man growled, glaring at Uncle Dog as a warning.

Shang Yifei used this opportunity to retreat behind Chu He. The burly man couldn’t even be bothered to waste words on him.

He hadn’t detected any aura from Chu He, so in his eyes, the man was just an ordinary person.

After all, Chu He was as young as Qu Chengping, Yu Qianqian, and Shang Yifei.

The burly man had taken notice of this group of rich kids when they first arrived.

He had even been planning to find a chance to extort a hefty sum from them after leaving the canyon.

But who knew things would take such a turn? The burly man swung a backhand slap at Chu He.

However, Chu He simply shook his head.

With a single glance from Chu He, the burly man felt the Heaven and Earth Energy around him

surge toward him with the force of a collapsing mountain and a raging tsunami.

His hand, which had yet to complete its swing, was instantly twisted out of shape as flesh and blood splattered everywhere.

In a split second, his entire body was reduced to a mangled pulp.

Everyone in the canyon was stunned by this scene.

The burly man’s companions

all stared at Chu He with utter disbelief.

The leather-clad woman’s face was blank for a few seconds before being overtaken by shock. "You... Are you Chu He? Yes, you must be Chu He!"

"So this is the man known as Blue Star’s number one expert?"

"Shouldn’t he be in the Great Xia Empire? What’s he doing here on the Black Continent Grassland?"

"The strange tide of events on the Black Continent Grassland must have drawn him here."

"With Blue Star’s number one expert here, we should be able to survive this ordeal!"

"Things might not be that simple. The Evil Spirit beneath this canyon is more terrifying than anything we’ve ever heard of."

"So what? He’s Blue Star’s number one expert!"

Many of the Martial Artists present began to chatter among themselves.

The shock of meeting Chu He was no less than that of the Evil Spirit emerging from underground.

Some, who had been in despair, became joyful.

Others, however, didn’t quite believe that Chu He was truly Blue Star’s strongest.

Suddenly, countless White Bone Vines shot out like reawakened vipers, extending frantically.

The vines, made of bone and covered in a faint, cold sheen, whipped through the air.

Like bony tentacles, or rainbows falling from the sky, they tore through the air and descended like a ferocious storm, piercing sharply toward the ground.

Chu He splayed his five fingers, then quickly brought them together, and thrust a simple, unadorned palm toward the sky.

As he moved, the surrounding air was drawn in by his palm.

A terrifying energy rapidly gathered in his palm, surging like a violent tempest.

When this energy reached its peak, Chu He forcefully pushed his palm forward.

A torrential river of energy erupted from his palm, like a surging river, relentlessly crashing against the descending White Bone Vines.

The two forces met in midair, erupting with a deafening roar.

The river of energy was as unstoppable as a tiger descending a mountain, smashing the White Bone Vines to pieces.

Under the impact of this energy, the once-ferocious White Bone Vines instantly shattered into countless fragments and fluttered down.

By the time these fragments hit the ground, they had lost their original sharpness and power, becoming dull and lusterless.

"What terrifying power! Even the Elemental Power in my body is recoiling in fear."

"What’s going on? Is there a difference between one type of Elemental Power and another?"

"As expected of the man known as Blue Star’s number one expert! He truly lives up to his name!"

Many of the Martial Artists were shocked by Chu He’s palm strike.

The White Bone Evil Spirit’s first attack had been blocked so easily.

"Mr. Chu, we beg you to save us! If you ever need anything in the future, just say the word, and we will do anything you ask!"

Chu He gave a noncommittal nod. In truth, he also wanted to find out just how powerful this White Bone Evil Spirit was.

So, he began to walk, step by step, toward the Great White Bone Tree ahead.

"Oh my god, he really is *the* Chu He!"

Yu Qianqian clutched her clothes, her heart pounding with excitement.

Qu Chengping, on the other hand, looked utterly crestfallen. Recalling his previous behavior, he could only hope Chu He wasn’t a petty person.

’A great figure like him, Blue Star’s number one expert, no less... he wouldn’t be petty, would he?’

Chu He instantly drew the Xuanyuan Sword from his system and gripped its hilt.

The True Qi in his body surged like a torrent,

mixing with his Thunder Power to condense into a dazzlingly brilliant Sword Qi at the tip of his blade.

A determined glint in his eyes, Chu He swung the Xuanyuan Sword, unleashing a strike with the force of a thunderbolt.

As he moved, the Sword Qi shot out like a silver flash of lightning, tearing a black rift through the air.

Everywhere the Sword Qi passed, the air burned and distorted with a piercing shriek.

In an instant, the Sword Qi struck the massive Great White Bone Tree with unstoppable momentum.

With a deafening BOOM, the Sword Qi sliced the Great White Bone Tree in half at its trunk.

The severed trunk crashed to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

The enormous crown teetered in the air before finally toppling over, smashing into the ground and raising another great cloud of dust.

"Is it over?"

Many of the Martial Artists present had looks of joyful surprise on their faces.

Chu He, however, frowned slightly, his guard still up.

From within the splintered stump, a figure slowly climbed out.

The figure was only about 1.6 meters tall, but its face was exquisitely handsome and abnormally pale, giving it the appearance and bearing of a peerless, beautiful young man.

His eyes, however, were a stark contrast to his features. They were unnaturally cold, without a hint of emotion,

and they had no black pupils, only a field of ghastly white.

After climbing out of the stump, the beautiful, boyish figure slowly stood up.

He wore a long robe woven from white bones, each one emanating a faint, cold light.

He raised his head, his pale, pupilless eyes sweeping over everyone present.

The cold, eerie aura he exuded sent a chill down everyone’s spine.
