Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

After leaving the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee, Kael planned to go to his office for a bit, since so many people had seen him, not showing up would be odd.

But as he entered the elevator, he saw a familiar face inside.

"Didn’t I tell you to stay at No. 12 Grimmauld Place?"

Chris looked at Kael, who had walked in from the outside, and was momentarily startled.

Previously, he didn’t think Kael was a reckless person, but he couldn’t understand why Kael would risk leaving the safe house at a time like this to come to the crowded Ministry of Magic.

Didn’t he realize there could be hidden Death Eaters here?

Thinking of this, Chris was already feeling a bit annoyed.

But the next moment, a golden-red phoenix suddenly appeared on Kael’s shoulder.

"No worries, I’ve already prepared." Kael said with a smile, "You-Know-Who won’t catch me that easily, plus I was brought here directly by Fawkes from home, totally safe."

Upon hearing Kael’s words, Chris’s emerging frustration instantly dissipated, but he still said with a stern face, "But what if You-Know-Who directly attacks the Ministry of Magic, you’re going to cause a big problem for everyone."

"I don’t have that much influence to make You-Know-Who disregard everything and bring Death Eaters to attack the Ministry of Magic?" Kael shrugged, "Besides, he wouldn’t dare."

"Wouldn’t dare?"

"Exactly." Kael nodded and explained: "Last time, the Death Eaters dared to attack the Ministry of Magic because they were sure Dumbledore was not here, plus the Order of Phoenix and some Aurors were focused on Privet Drive, it was a planned surprise attack.

"But now it’s different, nobody knows where Dumbledore is, he might be in some corner of the Ministry of Magic, as long as Dumbledore’s whereabouts are uncertain, You-Know-Who wouldn’t dare to come recklessly.

"If he doesn’t come, the Death Eaters naturally won’t come."

"Then how can you be sure Dumbledore is in the Ministry of Magic... or rather, make You-Know-Who think he’s here." Chris continued to ask.

"That’s simple." Kael said.

At this point, the elevator doors opened, Fawkes quickly flew out and vanished into a blaze, amidst a chorus of gasps.

As the elevator doors closed again, Kael shrugged, "Well, now Dumbledore is in the Ministry of Magic."

Chris only felt his temples throbbing.

But he had to admit, Kael’s move was indeed very effective.

The second floor is the busiest, so it won’t be long before the news of Fawkes appearing in the Ministry of Magic spreads.

Currently, the only known phoenix in the Magic Realm is Fawkes by Dumbledore’s side, so its appearance means Dumbledore must be nearby.

"I really don’t understand why Dumbledore would entrust the phoenix to you." Chris rubbed his forehead.

"Maybe because I’m rather kind." Kael said with a smile, "Plus, I get along well with Fawkes."

Chris opened his mouth, "Alright, so why did you suddenly come to the Ministry of Magic."

"Because of Hermione, she wanted to help out, so I casually recommended her."

The elevator stopped at the first floor, Kael quickly walked out.

"You can already arrange for people to work at the Ministry of Magic now?" Chris was about to follow but paused in disbelief, indeed even he couldn’t directly let a student who hadn’t graduated come to work at the Ministry of Magic.

Even the Minister would need to issue an official document, not directly bring someone like having a meal at home.

"Of course not, just purely helping as a volunteer." Kael explained, "Currently, every department is short-staffed, having a free labor to use, they’re delighted."

Chris nodded, which made much more sense.

"Where’s Hermione?"

He glanced back, the person who had come into the elevator before seemed to be just Kael.

"Already started working." Kael casually said: "Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee, didn’t even enter the office, just went out to work with Pelode."

"Wait, where did you say?" Chris was even more puzzled, "Hermione is such a smart witch, you let her go to the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee?"

"That’s not the main point." Chris took a deep breath, "I want to know why you didn’t bring her to the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures?"

"Huh?" Kael blinked, "Are you guys short on staff?"

"What do you think?" Chris said irritably, "You think I’m here looking for Minister Bones just to ask for staff."

"So tell me, which wizards love illegally raising Fantastic Beasts the most?" Chris asked.

"Those stallholders in Knockturn Alley?" Kael replied tentatively.

"To be precise, it’s the wizards wandering on the dark edges." Chris said, "For example, people like Mundungus, they aren’t true Dark Wizards, merely drift through the gray areas, conducting illegal businesses.

"Among them, the most popular industries, whether smuggling, crafting Dark Arts Items, or conducting dangerous magic experiments, almost all involve Fantastic Beasts."

"At the same time, they’re the best candidates to become Death Eaters, most of the newly joined Death Eaters are these people.

"Guess where those illegally raised Fantastic Beasts, and the creatures modified through magical experiments went after they became Death Eaters?"
