Chapter 90: Sylvia’s Jealousy! Dungeon Master Profession
"I am here, Chairman Welt, City Lord Leon~" Sylvia let out a small laugh as she greeted Chairman Welt.
"Greetings, Miss Sylvia." City Lord Leon’s expression turned complicated as he greeted her with the utmost respect.
Why wouldn’t he? The person standing in front of him was a walking nuke. If detonated, Fortis City... no, the entire Solaris Kingdom would be wiped off the planet.
"I am sorry for being late. I was caught up in a fight with some Null Organization members," Sylvia replied with an apologetic gesture of her hands.
"The Null Organization, huh? They are a very troublesome bunch. I thank Miss Sylvia for helping the citizens of Fortis City."
"It is nothing," Sylvia said with a small smile.
"You got attacked by the Null Organization? Did you get hurt?" Caelus asked with genuine concern in his voice.
However, hearing his question, Sylvia turned back and stared at Caelus with hollow, unblinking eyes.
"I am fine," she replied, her voice eerily flat.
"But please do not mind me. Feel free to continue whatever you were discussing with Miss Mia over here." Sylvia eyed Mia with a chilling, murderous coldness for a split second before a bright, painfully unnatural smile flashed across her face.
"You were going out with her tomorrow, right?" Sylvia leaned close to Caelus, her nails digging viciously into the back of his arm.
"..." Caelus was speechless.
Damn, what did he do? Was it not Mia who wanted to go out with him?
"Yes. We are going out tomorrow. Just me and him," Mia nodded with an entirely innocent look on her face.
"Is that right." Sylvia nodded with a massive, beaming smile. Yet, the hand gripping Caelus tightened like a steel vise. At this rate, if Caelus were not stronger than her in terms of combat score, he would have already started bleeding.
"Well, I just wanted to call you both here to meet you in person. You did great honor to the city and will be rewarded for it. There will be a small public press conference tomorrow related to the gates. I hope you all will come." City Lord Leon spoke.
"Sure." Caelus and Sylvia nodded. However, amidst the nod, Sylvia pinched Caelus again, twisting his flesh slightly.
"Then, Caelus and I are kind of busy. We will see you tomorrow," Sylvia said abruptly, her smile never reaching her dead eyes. "The domain will open soon, so we need to prepare."
With that said, Sylvia directly dragged Caelus away without waiting for a response.
After leaving the mansion, the other guild members were still lingering outside.
"It is that beautiful miss from before!" they gawked.
"Hey, it is that guy from before. He was with Rachel just moments ago. Now he is with that beautiful miss?"
"Have the gods lost their eyes? He is just average looking. Compared to him, I look way better," an arrogant guild member scoffed.
However, Sylvia, who had come out silently dragging Caelus away, paused and turned to glare at the man with malice.
"You are not even worth the dirt on his shoes," Sylvia commented. "You are also balding. Caelus has rich hair, unlike you."
The others burst out laughing upon hearing her reply.
Then, she turned to Caelus and stretched both her hands out, demanding to be held.
"Carry me," Sylvia ordered with an emotionless, unyielding stare.
Caelus was utterly helpless seeing this.
Was she mad? Probably, but he didn’t expect such an extreme reaction.
Sighing, he pulled Sylvia into a princess carry as his figure blurred away.
This time, he did not take the elevator route; jumping down was far more efficient.
Boom!
His figure blurred out of everyone’s vision as his body plummeted toward the road. Just before he landed, he activated Telekinesis to completely remove the kinetic energy, touching down onto the pavement with a light tap of his foot.
Boom!
The following moment, his figure blurred through the city like lightning. His speed far surpassed all the vehicles that had already begun moving. Soon, they reached their villa. Sylvia swiftly slammed the front door shut, locked it, and without another thought, violently pounced on Caelus.
Her ruby eyes were completely hollow and devoid of light, yet an incredibly dangerous, obsessive smile hung on her face.
"Are you and Miss Mia close?" Sylvia asked in a sickly sweet voice, her soft fingers slowly, possessively tracing the veins on Caelus’s neck.
"Do you like her?" Sylvia asked, her voice dropping to a terrifying, absolute zero.
"Calm down, Sylvia." Caelus was speechless. "She just said she wanted to tell me something."
"A confession?" Sylvia’s expression blackened instantly.
Suddenly, she began to spew out words in a rapid, foreign tongue, most likely the ancient Vampiric language. She clung to Caelus with a suffocating grip as she muttered the dark, chaotic words to herself.
"Damn, are you conducting black magic?" Caelus asked speechlessly.
Then, he sighed and softly placed his hands on Sylvia’s cheeks. "Mia and I did not know each other before this. We literally just met. Do you really think someone will just confess to someone they just met?"
"Yes. Love at first sight is real," Sylvia said with absolute conviction. "You... you cannot leave home tomorrow. I will tie you up to the bed if I have to. As a girl, I know exactly what goes on in another girl’s mind."
"What?!" Caelus was even more speechless. "Like I said, who in their right mind would confess that quickly?"
"And Sylvia, you cannot control me," Caelus said with a firm glare. "I can do whatever I want."
"..." Sylvia stared dead into Caelus’s eyes, her expression unhinged. "If you go tomorrow... I will jump off the balcony."
"Oh, okay," Caelus nodded deadpan. "You cannot die either way, and players do not take fall damage unless it is from the sky."
Sighing, Caelus adjusted his weight and stood up with Sylvia still clinging tightly to his body.
"I am just going for a small meet up. I promise absolutely nothing will happen."
"..." Sylvia fell silent for a long moment. "Fine. Do whatever. I do not want you to feel like I am controlling your life either..."
"But I get jealous very easily," Sylvia muttered darkly under her breath.
Then, she fiercely bit down on Caelus’s neck, rapidly and greedily draining his blood,
[Combat Score: ↑ 132.54]
It directly reached 132 after that feeding session.
"By the way, you got the Ascension Token, right?" Caelus asked, successfully changing the subject.
Ascension Token was an extremely valuable item in the domain. It allowed one to skip Ascension Quests and each went for a lot of origin credits. Origin credit that could buy this entire city.
But since they got it, they naturally have to use it. It’s only effective for the Iron Rank.
"Yep, I got it," Sylvia nodded, licking her lips clean of his blood.
"What do you think? Should we wait until our combat scores reach 150 to advance to Iron III, or should we upgrade right now?" Caelus tilted his head.
"Let us wait until our base combat scores reach the Iron III threshold," Sylvia suggested, finally relaxing against his side on the sofa. "That way, we will maximize our gains and reach the Combat Score of 2. If we do it now, it will only increase our combat score by 1. With the Mod Calibrator Scroll, our combat scores will naturally scale up to 27 without accounting for any external buffs."
"Yep." Caelus smiled. "Then, let’s do that."
"For now, let us just open the Special Profession Cards we got."
Sylvia nodded in agreement.
Soon, both of them took their cards out, and a glowing prompt appeared before their faces.
