"Huh?" From the call, a panicked Chairman Welt’s voice could be heard. "The Middle Expanse. That Middle Expanse?"
Caelus also frowned seeing this. The next moment, Chairman Welt cut off the call as Sylvia rushed in.
"Did you see?" Sylvia asked with a huff.
"Yes, I did." Caelus was speechless.
"Does that mean if we win this we will reach the Middle Expanse?" Caelus tilted his head.
He clicked on the future changes.

"Oh. So no Town Ascension." Caelus broke into a cold grin. This was better than he expected.
He, Caelus, had a plan. Before he went into the Middle Expanse, he had gotten a feature called Town Ascension. This was something that allowed him to have absolute control over his people and also strengthen his army.
This feature must be from a higher-leveled Middle Expanse world; they were lucky to have landed in that domain.
However, what Town Ascension basically did was allow him to ascend others’ levels, provided the players followed his commands to a T through a soul contract. For example, he was currently level 3 Iron II. He could use this function to make others instantly reach level 21 at a small cost. Then they would do the ascension quest and instantly reach the level he was at when he initiated Town Ascension, which was level 3.
This would not only increase his power, but it also seemed to work on NPCs.
NPCs in the Middle Expanse had a soul just like them, and they had ranks too. Hence, they also had to undergo ascension quests.
As long as they submitted a contract suggesting they wouldn’t betray the town leader, they could participate.
Of course, the prize was different every time, and he honestly had no idea how to increase it.

Right now, beside Body Enhancement and Lightning Domain, there was a recalibrate button.

Those two talents buffed his combat score. The Lightning Domain increased it by 1, and Body Enhancement by 3.
Making it a total increment of 4 combat score.
He had completely forgotten about it during the events of the Endless Expanse of the domain opening up.

The calibration was instantaneous. The power of the domain surged into his body, causing it to visibly expand even more than during a normal essence extraction.

His body rapidly popped and began to readjust. Due to Body Enhancement, every part of him improved: his brain capacity expanded, his organs strengthened, his immune system was enhanced, his blood became thicker, and more muscle fibers formed around his tissues as lightning crackled through his body, further strengthening it.

It was Chairman Welt.

"Let’s go."
She nodded. "Wait, I’ll take a quick shower~"
"Alright, I’ll do the same then."
She didn’t need to shower since she had Cleanse, but she liked doing it anyway.

Caelus and Sylvia entered Chairman Welt’s office as Mr. Brown showed them the way.
As soon as they entered, the atmosphere became chilly.
"Huh, Frost Queen?" Caelus exclaimed.
In front of the office sat a girl with long white hair, right in front of Chairman Welt. It was none other than the Frost Queen, who had just erased a natural disaster.
"Come in, you two. Meet my daughter, Rachel."
"She’s your daughter?" Caelus was dumbfounded.
Damn, no wonder this old man was eager to call him to the association. It was to show off his daughter!
As expected!
"Hello." Frost Queen Rachel spoke with a polite smile, no longer having her cold demeanor.
"Nice to meet you, miss." Both Caelus and Sylvia greeted her with a small smile.
"So, why did you call us?" Caelus tilted his head.

Both Caelus and Sylvia froze, then laughed.
"What’s a Middle Expanse?" Caelus let out a small chuckle.
"I don’t know what that is."
"..." Welt and Rachel exchanged bewildered glances hearing this.
"You know. The Aura manifestation. That Art comes from the Middle Expanse. I once got it from a spatial fissure inside the domain which was connected to the Middle Expanse."
"WHAT?" It was Caelus’s turn to be shocked.
"You either met a being from the Middle Expanse or found a fissure similar to mine which is connected to the Middle Expanse."
"Which should mean you have a MOD Slot. That’s the common update one receives after entering the Middle Expanse. My daughter also has one and also a Mod."
Caelus gulped hearing this.
"So you were speaking to me, fully knowing that I knew about the Middle Expanse?"
"Before, I was only suspicious. But looking at yours and miss sylvia’s track record, it made that suspicion clearer. You both vanished from the face of Fortis City as if you both no longer existed."
"That can only mean one thing, you both entered the Middle Expanse."
