Chapter 75: Rookie Gods! The Power of the Talent Generator
"It’s a pity I couldn’t get the boss’s temporal reset."
This was one of the most powerful abilities a boss could have, and possessing it was proof that it was not some ordinary boss.
He decided that the next time he encountered a boss with a temporal reset, he would get it for himself.
It was once said in a forum that bosses at the Crown Rank even had an undying effect due to their cells resetting from the temporal reset.
But lifespan was related to the soul, not the body. Even if the body was fully functioning, one soul attack could pierce even the toughest defense.
"Are you finally back to normal, Caelus?" Sylvia chuckled softly as she appeared in front of him. "You should’ve seen how you were acting."
"..." Caelus’s expression darkened.
This sugar powder turned out to be something else entirely!
What the hell was the domain giving to its players?
Did it want him to become a crack addict?!
At the same time, he was slightly embarrassed by his own reaction. He had been in a specific state where the world was rainbows and sunshine, but reality was far from that.
"I’m never giving you this thing," Caelus vowed as he stared at Sylvia.
"Why?" Sylvia blinked.
"Good question." Caelus’s lips twitched.
If this was how he acted when under its effect, he could only imagine how bad it would be for Sylvia. She would probably become even more power-hungry!
"I kinda wanna try it out now~ Give it to me, Caelus."
"Absolutely not!" Caelus glared at Sylvia, earning him a small laugh from her.
"It’s a good thing the boss had an HP bar." Caelus changed the subject.
A 10,000 HP bar.
Most beasts in the domain did not have HP.
Special cases like a world boss, ascension boss, and a raid boss were the only ones that had it, and they were not classified within the beast rankings of common, elite, tyrant, or lord level either.
They belonged to special categories.
After calming themselves down, they opened up the rewards.

"What?! A talent generator?" They both equally ignored the title they got.
"Isn’t that great, Caelus? You can get a talent!"
"So can you." Caelus’s lips twitched.
A talent was the thing he lacked the least right now.
He checked his status screen.

[Profession Skills: Rainbow Light Forge (Tier 1: Iron II), Herb Gatherer (Tier 1: Iron I), Flash Patterning (Tier 1: Iron I)]
While the buff from the white powder had worn off, his initial combat score of 8 was increased by 3 upon reaching level 1 of Iron II. So, the combat score was still 11.
Speaking of which, his HP and CA had increased significantly by 30 points. The power of the dragon heart was being unleashed and he got an additional 5 from rank increase.
One thing he understood was that he needed an S-Rank Affinity to unlock its full points. The only reason Sylvia got it fully was that she had an S-Rank Mana Affinity.
"I need to find more ways to increase it," Caelus sighed.
His companion could survive in battle for longer, and he didn’t want to lose to her.
There was a reason why she survived even after he died in battle once. She had a higher HP pool.
"Come, let’s use the talent generator," Caelus suggested.
[You’ve obtained the talent: Spirit Tether (Lower B-Rank)]
[Tether: Lock onto opponents with the max limit being 10. Dealing damage to one of them deals 80% of total damage to the others as well. The damage dealt also affects the spirit. Each lock costs 1 Mana.]
Sylvia, on the other hand, got Spatial Displacement (Lower B-Rank).
[Spatial Displacement (Lower B-Rank): Allows the user to instantly swap spatial coordinates with any inanimate object or willing ally within a 50-meter line of sight. Each swap costs 10 Mana.]
"These talents. Aren’t they just too good?" Caelus said with a slightly stunned look.
"Your talent is far more useful than mine. You only need to attack one enemy to deal damage to the others," Sylvia spoke.
Her own talent was not bad either. It can save Caelus in many situations.
And right now, her skills had also been recalibrated.
Which meant her buffs had also reached the Iron II level.
"Come, let’s go back. We need to enter the endless expanse."
"Alright!" Sylvia cheered.
