Chapter 336: Atlantis (3)
The sea churned and multiple werewolves jumped out of the ocean and attacked those in the ships.
Caught off guard they barely had a chance to react before dozens of them were ripped to shreds.
Their leader roared and lunged at Melissa, ’ Fast.’ Thought Melissa as she crossed her arms to block.
His claws ripped her flesh down to the bone, the force sent her flying into the ocean like a missile.
The water exploded like a bomb had gone off, she jumped back out and flew at him like an arrow.
Melissa understood that this man was stronger than she was so she fully intended to rely on her advantage, regeneration.
As long as he doesn’t rip out her heart or cut off her head he had no means to kill her, as for the pain, what of it.
She landed on the huge ship causing it to tilt, her opponent appeared before her like a shadow.
He too had taken his true form, he was a massive humanoid tiger standing over four metres tall.
’ Not a white Tiger, I might have a chance of winning then.’ The white tiger clan were the rulers of the divine tiger empire.
But they were not the only tigers there, below them were the heavenly thunder tiger and the hell flame tiger clans.
Those two clans were slightly weaker than the white tiger clans but they were dangerous in their own right.
Then there were normal tiger shifters, Melissa didn’t think this guy was just a normal tiger shifter.
For him to reach level 8 as a count especially, he had to be from the other two clans.
Just as she had expected, lightning flickered on his claws, his arm turned into a blur moving so fast even Melissa struggled to follow it.
He cut a massive gash on her stomach, her internals spilled out and he grinned, " You’re done for."
Melissa’s eyes slowly closed and she fell forward while grabbing her own intestines.
" Chhhh, I knew the rumours about you lot were just exaggerations, you’re nothing but worthless dogs." Mocked the tiger.
Just as Melissa was about to hit the floor, she lunged forward and but his thigh, caught off guard he barely had time to react.
By the time he did her fangs had dug deep into his flesh.
" You bastard, that was a cowardly move." He kicked Melissa in the head sanding her flying back into the ocean.
Melissa waited until the wound on her stomach healed which took merely a few seconds before jumping back out.
" I’m impressed, for you to be able to cut through my hide so easily, you really are from the heavenly thunder tiger clan.
However you underestimated me, one, we’re superior than you in every way, the only reason you even had a chance of harming me was because of your higher level.
Secondly, this fight is pointless now, you’re already dead but...I just want to beat your cat’s ass, for the sake of it."
Her words angered the prideful tiger, " You’ll pay for that you lowly mutt." Lighting exploded from his body.
A domain spread out covering the entire battlefield, Melissa looked up and saw nothing but dark clouds flickering with Lightning occasionally.
The pressure the domain placed on her body was so tremendous it forced her on her knees.
Melissa activated her own domain, faint silver light glowed over her body, the pressure lessened.
Her’s was a warrior’s domain, it wrapped tightly around her like armour protecting her from the lightning domain.
’ My domain is struggling to suppress her, how?’ Wondered the tiger, ’ She shouldn’t be able to move and her own domain should’ve crumbled under this pressure.’
Melissa cracked her neck and stretched her body, her dark grey fur danced in the wind and stood on end as if electrified.
" This thing of yours is annoying, it tickles." She was talking about the electrified air.
" Then take all of it!" Roared the tiger, a bolt of lightning as thick as a building descended from the sky like a pillar.
It was too fast for Melissa to dodge, the lightning bolt envoloped her, it shattered the ship beneath her feet.
The temperature boiled the ocean from hundreds of kilometres, the lightning bolt reached the bottom of the ocean.
When it disappeared, a gaping hole was left in the ocean, lightning flickered on its edges preventing water from flowing back in.
On the ocean floor, there was a new hole so deep light coming not reach its bottom, a broken Melissa stood inside this hole.
The lightning bolt had stripped her of all her fur and burnt her flesh down to the bone, fortunately she had her domain.
It had taken the brunt of the attack reducing the lightning bolt’s power by 60 percent but the even the remaining 40 had dealt so much damage to her.
Her body healed itself, her domain mended itself and she jumped back out before the ocean could flow back in.
As if it had been waiting for her, the ocean flew back in as soon as she left, she landed on what remained of the ship.
" You survived that?" The tiger sounded surprised. " Mmmm, you were just lucky, you won’t be so lucky next time."
He raised his hand to the sky, lightning gathered above him but just as he was about to attack he lost strength and went on his knees.
" Wh..what did you do to me?" He forced himself up with gritted teeth and looked at Melissa with rage.
" I thought you’ve done your research about us, I’m sorry I was wrong to expect that much competence from you.
So as a last gift I’ll tell you, I injected you with my venom, I’d say you have about an hour to live.
You can either fight me here and we both know you won’t be able to kill me, or you can run back home to try and find a cure.
But we both know I’m not letting that happen, ha, I feel quite talkative today, I must like you." Melissa licked her lips mockingly.
If any werewolf saw this they would be greatly surprised, it did not feel the image of the battle maniac they knew.
" You bastard!" The Tiger roared shaking the sky, a bolt of lightning fell like a spear going straight for the kill.
Melissa didn’t bother dodging, she couldn’t even if she wanted to, the lightning bolt was too fast.
However her own ability plus her domain made her a nightmare to kill, wounding her was already impressive.
He attacked her multiple times to no avail and each time she came back and fought him.
In that time she managed to bite him two more times, adding even more venom into his system.
Seeing he couldn’t win, the tiger ran, she tried to chase after him but he was too fast. Melissa went back to join the others.
