Chapter 276: Awakened a Monster
Siri and Ben watched Render being flung away by the barrage of bullets and their faces changed.
Ben still believed he could take those bullets but Siri knew they would pierce right through her body.
She was not very durable amongst supernaturals of her level but due to her space abilities, she was quite fast.
She waved her hand and teleported Render back to them. There were now small cracks in his full body armour.
His esper slowly seeped into those cracks mending them in seconds. " Can you teleport me inside that thing?" He asked.
Siri closed her eyes then opened them and shook her head, " Teleportation seemed to be blocked inside.
However if I can envelop the castle with my domain, I probably can." She answered.
" Then do it." Render ordered in harsh tone, she could tell he was furious so she didn’t bother addressing his tone.
Her domain spread out of her faster than lightning, its expansion speed nearly reached that of light.
It was impossible to escape its range unless you can teleport but before it could reach the castle.
A domain of silver light met hers, two domains clashed, one dark purple, the other a gentle silver.
Space shook and the sky quaked between them, Siri’s face changed, she could feel the owner of this domain.
Her own domain was certain stronger and slowly pushing back the other domain but she knew she would never get to the castle.
This was not an issue, after all it was normal for domains of equal or almost equal power to reach a stalemate.
Usually in that situation, both combatants would not use domains since that would be useless.
However what made Siri furious was that her opponent was an entire level below her, at their level.
Fighting an entire level above you was impossible unless. She frowned, " I think that girl might be an archduke rank Fayera."
Her words made the other two frown, archdukes were rare and incredibly powerful.
There was a rule in the organisation, if you can kill an archduke, do it. Espara themselves didn’t have any rankings.
Their power dependent mostly on the nature of their abilities as well as the individuals mastery of it.
The three looked at each other because they had come to a realisation, if this girl was an archduke.
Then wouldn’t the leader of this pack be an archduke as well? Their motivation to kill these wolves before they could grow reached a new level.
The other two released their domains, a blue domain flickering with thunder and one that echoed with clashes of metal.
The two domains joined that of Siri and collided with the weaker silver domain crushing it instantly.
The silver domain crumbled like a broken glass dome and disappeared.
Inside the castle.
Annie’s face turned pale, her rebound of having her domain forcefully crushed made her cough a mouthful of blood.
But she was a werewolf and not just any werewolf, an alpha, her regenerative ability was incredibly potent.
She felt a dark purple domain surround the entire castle, the energy output of the castle dropped.
However suppressing the power of a weapon with a domain was harder than suppressing a living creature.
Annie knew the suppression was merely a side effects, this domain exuded the power of space.
She infused her psionic lunar esper into the crown and scepter. " Get ready." She warned the others.
Melissa and Sam took the right, Fred and Suki took the left while Suzie and John took the front protecting Annie.
The six of if them were still at level 6, their power was nowhere near that of that enemies but they were loyal.
Their loyalty made them willing to die for Annie, even Sam who was usually lazy and sleepy had his eyes wide open.
His feet lit up with silver light and his body took its true werewolf form and the others followed suit.
They couldn’t release their domains under a level 8 domain. In a split second Annie analysed this domain.
It fits the description of a level 8 domain with an image imprinted into it. The image was that of a black hole.
It sat above at the highest peak of the domain like a purple black sun, its presence compressed the space inside the domain.
’ My abilities without the castle would be completely useless inside this domain, not to mention the sure hit attack.’
That was another function of a level 8 domain with an image, attacks inside it cannot be dodge.
They can only be blocked or withstood with your own body, of course this was not true for every domain. The castle roared and the internal walls moved like a puzzle.
Suddenly three people appeared inside the castle, the woman named Siri pointed two fingers at Annie like a gun.
A tiny black purple sphere that flickered with lightning appeared in front of her. It bent space like a black hole.
" Horizon Break." Annie heard the woman whisper then she fired the purple sphere. Annie looked down.
Inside her chest, there was a massive empty hole where her heart was meant to be. She didn’t even see the attack.
This was what sure hit meant, the attacks materialised directly in front of you not giving you a chance to dodge.
" I told you you big oaf, my horizon break cannot be blocked nor withstood by mere durability." Siri bragged.
"It’s not a simple attack like yours, instead of dealing direct damage, it simple teleport anything it touches somewhere else.
So no matter how hard your defence or durable your body is, it won’t matter unless you can resist teleportation."
Her explanation made Render’s face red but he wasn’t going to admit defeat. He clicked his tongue.
" My armour can still take it." He grumbled then turned towards the others who were watching the heartless body of Annie.
" I’ll take care of this." He drew his sword and raised it but before he could attack, guns blazed sending countless bullets their way.
Cannons roared and beams of cold lunar esper shot towards them like streaks of light from all directions.
This caught them by suprise, Siri clasped her hands, countless portals appeared around them blocking and sending the bullets and cannon beams somewhere else.
All three looked up at the woman sitting on a throne, she glared at them with cold eyes, the wound on her chest started healing with visible speed.
" Would you look at that, it seems I don’t need my heart after all." She smirked then glared at them with disdain, " I suggest you run."
This made Render shake with rage but before he could move, a powerful aura rose from deep inside the castle.
The entire castle shook and Siri felt her domain being pushed back, then they heard a tired sigh.
" It’s rude to interrupt someone’s breakthrough." A cold voice reached their ears as if speaking directly next to them.
