Chapter 89: Disappeared
He watched the cold corpse of baron Ezell, even in death it exuded a massive amount of power.
The hearts in Adrian’s hand was still beating, Adrain could sense the esper inside it and it was stronger than any heart he had ever consumed.
It made him gulp, he couldn’t hold back and ate it, Suzie appeared right then but behind her was a shaking woman.
Adrain could tell she was a vampire, Adrain raised his eyebrow, even without a word Suzie understood him.
She truly was the perfect maid, she bowed slightly and the vampire woman imitated her, " My lord, this one claims to have been turned against her will.
She was kidnapped by baron Ezell and forced to serve him, seeing her situation I couldn’t bring myself to kill her."
Adrian raised his finger and pointed it at the woman, before she could react her body blew up like a blood balloon.
Suzie froze, " When I tell you to kill everybody, I’m telling you to kill everybody, is that understood?"
She nodded nervously, she had always known her lord was terrifying but she had never seen such cruelty.
To kill such a pitiful woman without a change in expression made her wonder if she ever got on his bad side, would be kill her like that too.
That thought made her terrified but it also reinforced her idea of serving him faithfully, in fact she strangely desired to remain by his side.
Unfortunately she couldn’t stay away from John for long, they had both noticed that since becoming Werewolves, their feelings for each other had grown almost uncontrollable.
She felt her body rising to the sky, Adrian had grabbed her with his telekinesis, " You’re too kind Suzie." He spoke.
" Thank you my lord." She answered, feeling a wave of joy from the compliment.
" It was not a compliment, you’re a werewolf, kindness is a sickness that will get you killed, I have many enemies.
And as the sire of all Werewolves, you are of my blood, especially those I’ve sired myself, my enemies are yours by default.
They will not show you kindness, your kindness should only be to those of our allies, do not disappoint me again."
Suzie kept quiet, while being a werewolf had changed her to some degree, letting go of all of her nature as a human was not an easy thing to do.
" If it makes you feel better, that woman was lying, vampires cannot turn you against your will, those tales are fake.
Their venom works faster than our werewolf venom which can only turn you on a full moon but it has its downsides.
The target has to be willing and desires to be turned and after being turned, until a new born vampire drinks blood, they’re no different from a normal human."
She nodded, that did make things better because it meant that woman was lying to her.
They flew to another part of the southern territory of the city and floated above another mansion.
Adrian frowned, he spread his lunar realm, an invisible type of energy spread out and encompassed the entire mansion.
There were only 50 vampires and all of them were weak and new, Karon was gone alongside his entire army.
Adrian lost interest, he had interest in killing these weaklings and merely unleashed Suzie on them.
He didn’t even drop her to the ground, she spread out her hands and fist sized spheres of lunar energy appeared.
Their number matched that of the vampires below. She lowered her arms and the spheres shot down like rain.
They moved faster than bullets and the new born vampires were too weak to counter them.
The spheres pierced through their heads leaving gaping holes, as powerful as the regeneration of vampires was.
Their brains were a huge weakness, they all died immediately without a chance of retaliation at all.
Adrian waved his hand and ripped their hearts off their chests, those hearts joined the other hearts floating behind them.
If normal humans saw two people flying through the sky with hearts floating behind them, they might faint from fear.
Adrian took Suzie to the last vampire house, it was even more quiet than that of Karon, he could sense a single presence inside.
It was at the level of a level 2 baron, he floated down and landed in front of the mansion.
The doors opened on their own and he went inside, in the living room there was a flight of stairs leading down.
He followed them to a large underground space, it looked closer to a throne hall than a basement.
On its other side sat a red throne and on that throne sat a beautiful woman twirling a glass of blood.
" My my, quite an impatient boy aren’t you? You seem angry, what happened?" She asked teasingly.
" Seyra Attar." Adrian whispered under his breath, he looked around the stone hall and even spread out his lunar realm.
" It seems you were expecting me, but I don’t understand something, if you knew I was coming, why didn’t you warn your comrade?"
He asked but Attar just laughed, " Comrade? You’re funny, our alliance was one of convenience but Ezell had always been a fool.
I didn’t want this stupid war you know, it was the two of them who wanted to fight you for pets they don’t even care about.
But based on what I gleamed about you, you’re different from us, you care more about your people.
I knew the moment that fool decided to attack those two girls that a war was inevitable and frankly I have no interest in fighting you, you’re terrifying."
" So you ran like a coward?" Adrian taunted her but instead of being angry or embarrassed she just laughed.
" Oh my, dear, if you’re trying to insult my ego then you’re solely mistaken, it won’t work, besides, there’s nothing shameful about a poor woman running from a terrifying man trying to kill her is there?"
She smiled seductively at him but Adrian didn’t react, he saw a glimmer of disappointment in her eyes.
" You could already match our strength as a level 1, only an idiot would think to challenge you as a level 2, I knew all three of us together could not match you.
What I didn’t expect was for Karon to run too, I thought he would overestimate himself as well, pity." She sighed with disappointment.
" You sound like you wanted them dead, how loyal of you." He mocked.
" I already told you, our alliance was merely out of convenience, there was no comradery between us.
Anyways, I guess this is goodbye for now king of wolves, I look forward to our next meeting."
Her body exploded into a pool of blood, Adrian wasn’t surprised, he already knew it was just a clone.
What surprised him was that the clone had an aura equal to that of Ezell, " Seyra Attar, who really are you?" He whispered then turned around and left.
