My Kingdom Building Done Right!

Chapter 465: Becoming Part Of A Legendary Tale

Two hours later, Leone’s clone teleported directly to the fortress in Grimjaw Mountain alongside Ulric, Kael, Jason, and the rest of the Aslan Tribe warriors who had remained by his side.

They had just finished remodeling Eden to their liking. Truth be told, they “almost” felt sorry for the Aurelion Empire, who would likely think that they would receive Eden without a fight.

After sending his clone back to the Hidden Valley, Leone flew down the mountain to visit the tribes that had relocated to their temporary homes.

His vassals followed him in this inspection, and the first place they visited was the chieftain’s residence of the Warclaw Tribe.

“I don’t want to say this, but you really made sure that I would have no complaints, Leone,” Godwin said as soon as he saw Leone. “It seems that you really plan to make us stay here, huh?”

The residence that he had built for Godwin and his family was bigger and better than his previous house in the Warclaw Tribe.

The Elders of each tribe had also received a bigger house compared to the ordinary folk of their respective tribes.

It was not only the chieftain whom Leone was trying to please. He had to give the Elders, who had a say in their respective tribes, some preferential treatment as well.

“I’m glad you like it, Godwin,” Leone replied. “I know you still have many things to do right now, so I’ll keep it short. Tomorrow at lunch, please go to Grimjaw Mountain. I will send a Pteranodon Rider to pick you up. We will talk about the strategy we will be using to reclaim Eden.

At the mention of Eden, Godwin’s expression became sharp. “Understood. I’ll be there.”

“Good.” Leone nodded. “Enjoy your stay.”

After saying those words, he once again took off. This time, he decided to visit the Grimhowl Tribe and talk to Gundar.

Since Hagen was still recovering from his injuries, the great shaman was the one managing the tribe in his absence.

The two talked for a while. Eventually, Gundar agreed to come to the lunch meeting that Leone had proposed.

During this visit, Leone didn’t mention Hagen’s name even once.

He was certain that the chieftain didn’t want to see him right now, especially after the one-sided beating he had experienced while facing Leone’s clone.

The next person he visited was none other than Troy.

When he arrived at the chieftain’s residence, Jafar and Troy’s three sons were also there.

“This is a nice city you’ve built here, Leone,” Troy said. “While you’re not born a schemer, I have to admit you cunningly turned your image around. You’ll see what I mean when morning comes.”

The young chieftain chuckled before changing the topic to something else.

“Troy, I have something important to discuss with you,” Leone said. “This is about what will happen to Eden after we force the Aurelion Army to retreat.”

“I’m listening.” Troy narrowed his eyes and waited for the young man to say what he had to say.

When Leone finished, Jafar and Troy’s three sons looked at the Chieftain of the Aslan Tribe with serious looks on their faces.

“Are you sure about this?” Troy was pleasantly surprised. The Goddess knew how long he had dreamed of this.

“Yes,” Leone replied. “Can you handle it?”

“Easily,” Troy answered without hesitation.

“Good.” Leone nodded. “Then, let’s do our best to kick our guests out of our house. Also, we will have a lunch meeting in the fortress tomorrow. Please keep what we just talked about today a secret from everyone who is not present in this room.”

“Understood,” Troy replied before glancing at Jafar and his sons. “Make sure that none of you speak a word of what transpired here. Those who do will be punished without fail.”

Jafar and Troy’s sons all nodded in agreement.

Leone’s proposal was unprecedented. If the other chieftains were to hear about it, they might think that the Chieftain of the Aslan Tribe was showing favoritism towards his once mortal enemy.

After the young man left Troy’s residence, Jafar congratulated Troy.

“Congratulations, Troy,” Jafar said with a smile. “Although the process is different from what we had envisioned, the result is the same.”

Troy nodded. “Indeed. But what I don’t understand is how that kid can easily decide these things. Does he not understand the implications of these changes?”

“Perhaps he does. Perhaps he doesn’t.” Jafar stroked his beard. “But I feel like Leone doesn’t really care about Eden that much. To him, Grimjaw Mountain is much more important. I think… this place is his Holy Land.”

“My thoughts exactly.” Troy agreed with Jafar’s statement. “Anyway, I won’t suffer a loss from this deal, so I’ll just accept it gratefully. Besides, he also promised to remodel the city after it is destroyed by the war. Should I ask him to use similar designs for the new Eden that he will build?”

“That’s not a bad idea.” Jafar rubbed his chin.

“Byron, what do you think of Leone’s proposal?” Troy asked his chubby son, who had conceded to allow Jason to win the tournament.

“Father, I have a feeling that the Borderlands is too small for Leone,” Byron answered with a sigh. “His destiny is to walk a road of thorns. The moment he moves past the boundary of the Borderlands, I have a feeling he will sweep everyone and everything off their feet.”

Troy chuckled as he envisioned what his son had seen.

For him, the Borderlands was already big enough. He had never coveted the lands beyond it, for his ambition didn’t bring him that far.

But Leone… he was different.

He had this certain charm and drive that Troy admittedly didn’t possess.

“I think as long as we follow Leone’s footsteps, we will become part of a legendary tale that will be told for generations to come,” Jafar commented. “All we need to do is stand by his side and see this journey to the end.”

“Then, you will need to live for two or three more decades, my friend.” Troy patted Jafar’s shoulder. “Make sure not to croak in this upcoming war. If you do, then you won’t become part of that legendary tale.”

“You should worry about yourself more,” Jafar countered. “I’d be fighting at the rear, while you’ll be part of the vanguard. Between the two of us, who do you think will die first?”

Instead of answering, Troy simply smirked.

Being part of the vanguard was indeed very dangerous. But for some reason, he didn’t fear it.

In fact, he was already looking forward to it.

While Troy, Jafar, and the chieftain’s three sons were talking about this matter, Leone was making his rounds to the other tribes as well.

Although it might only last for a few days, seeing the lively streets of Aslan City put a smile on his face.

“Someday, this city will thrive and will be known far and wide,” Daedalus said through telepathy. “The bards will sing your songs and tell the people about your epic sagas.

“Sounds nice,” Leone replied. “I just hope they don’t exaggerate things. The last thing I want is to suffer from secondhand embarrassment.”

The next day, right after Leone had finished eating breakfast, one of the Pteranodon Riders reported something that Leone had almost forgotten.

According to the warrior, several colorful wagons numbering over thirty were making their way to their city.

“Could it be?” Leone pondered as he remembered one of the “gifts” his great-grandfather had sent him on a whim.

“They must be the Orion Troupe,” Daedalus stated. “Fortunately, Oisin is still here. You should take him with you to confirm if they truly are members of the group of minstrels that your great-grandfather had asked to come to the Borderlands.”

It didn’t take long for them to find Oisin, who was currently performing at the Plaza of the Braves.

When he heard that a caravan made up of colorful wagons was making its way toward Aslan City, he didn’t hesitate to accompany Leone to meet them.

If memory served him right, Leone believed that these wandering minstrels were no ordinary performers.

After all, they were sent to him by his great-grandfather to assist the Aslan Tribe in any way that they could.

“I really hope they are the Orion Troupe. If it’s them, we’ll have it easier in this upcoming war,” Oisin said excitedly.

“Really?” Leone asked. “How will they be helpful?”

“It will be better if you hear it from them directly.” Oisin flashed a grin. “I don’t want to ruin the surprise that the Master has prepared for you.”

Seeing that one of the members of Lost Paradise had no intention of sharing any information about the Orion Troupe with him, Leone decided to just meet them first.

Since he had Daedalus with him, it would be easy to see their Status Page and know exactly what skills they possessed for his great-grandfather and Oisin to hold them in high regard.
