Chapter 116: Willow’s Return
"Adal... Oh Mother... Don’t move. I can save you! I am awakened now... Hang on a moment, why aren’t they attacking you? Is that human clothing?"
When Willow Collins caught sight of the goblins by Adal’s side, she immediately rose to her feet and became defensive.
Then, she noticed that there was no animosity in the goblins’ demeanours, nor did Adal seem to be in any danger around them.
Most importantly, however, her words had revealed a secret she had been waiting to tell Adal about.
The librarian looked at her with a raised brow.
"You’re awakened?" he repeated, before shaking his head to free himself from the thought. "Never mind that. How did you get in here, and where are Juliette and Penelope?"
"Ah, I believe they are still asleep. As for how I got in here..."
The milf paused for a moment, so Adal stopped her from continuing.
"Tell me in a moment," he said, before turning towards the two goblins. "Frogg, Ibukk, have a look around. I will keep the library closed today so that you might familiarise yourselves with everything. We will talk later."
Then, he turned his attention back towards the red-haired milf.
"Give us some privacy."
...
Once the goblins began exploring the library, Adal and Willow found a seat across from each other around the table.
The woman was dressed in a long red flowing dress that reached to her ankles. The chest was cut short, revealing her ginormous breasts, which rested atop the table like two large pillows as she spoke. Adal struggled to keep his eyes off them.
"So, tell me about this awakening," he asked, wishing to get straight to the matter.
Willow Collins explained.
"It happened whilst I was working on a new play. Since you hadn’t visited since the event that took place with the royal family, I wanted to quit writing. The Velvet Curtain Theatre has lost all of its visitors, but that doesn’t mean that my passion has been taken away from me."
"When I was alone, I started writing a novel. It was inspired by your works. I did everything that I could to mimic your genius. I even tried to copy your prose and writing style. That was when it happened."
"My body became light, and the next thing I knew, a strange abundance of information flowed into my mind, telling me that I had awakened a class named Author. I’m not sure how everything works, but I was given an ability called Selective Intangibility, which gave me the ability to temporarily phase a single part of my body through certain objects."
"I didn’t believe it at first, but then when I arrived at your library and realised it was closed, I tried it out. I was able to open the lock from the inside... Please, don’t be angry at me. I swear, I was going to leave, but I was so scared. I did not want to continue to tackle these skills until you were here to give me guidance... I know how proficient you are, after all. You sorted out my problems with Richard Banker."
...
After hearing her explanation, Adal felt a mixture of excitement and weariness.
The excitement came from the fact that Willow’s power seemed to be incredibly strong. Like Juliette’s Sanctuary Bride class, it seemed to be unique and had great potential. His mind could only imagine the heights that she could eventually reach.
The weariness came from the fact that the woman had snuck into his library. Whilst he did trust her, it was important to make sure that his women understood that even though they were awakened, Adal was still a man that they must dedicate their utmost respect to. If not, then it could lead to problems such as betrayal and discord.
He did not show the woman this weariness, though; instead, he flashed her a warm smile and reached forward. He took her soft hands in his and used his thumbs to caress the backs of her hands.
"Don’t worry, Willow. I’m here now."
The woman’s body visibly relaxed as she let out a sigh.
"Your awakening is incredibly powerful, and you were right to come to me. With the correct guidance, you and the others can become a force to be reckoned with."
"The others?" Willow asked with a tilted head.
"Yes, my other women. Juliette, Penelope, and Colette. Each of them has awakened within the last month."
Willow had expected to feel jealous at these words, but instead, she felt relieved. She did not want to have to be the only one going through this.
However, wasn’t it unusual for all of them to awaken within a similar time frame?
"What about the goblin girl?" Willow asked, glancing down the library towards where the woman and her brother were climbing one of the shelves. "Is she one of your women too? Is she awakened?"
Adal scratched his head.
"Yes, she’s awakened."
He ignored her first question. He would not call the goblin his woman yet.
She was also unaware of Adal’s most powerful woman, Nimrodel. He wondered where the woman was at that moment, before realising that if he truly wanted to find out, he could use a mixture of his skills and smartphone functions to do so.
"So... What should I do now?" the red-haired milf asked.
With her theatre ruined and her life now changed due to her awakening, she was uncertain of what to do with herself.
Luckily, she had come to the right man.
"Join me in my library," Adal immediately suggested. "You can continue to write your plays, and if you would like, we could use them on our shelves. I have plans to expand our libraries, so the more hands we have, the better. All of your needs will be taken care of, and you would never have to worry about finances and such again, so long as you remain in my care. What do you think?"
"..."
Adal had expected the woman to think about the offer for a few moments before coming to a conclusion.
He was wrong.
"I... I would love that!" Willow replied.
