SSS Awakening: I Can Steal Attributes

Chapter 65: Over A Hundred

One look!

That was all it took for him to do before the Blastoads froze in place due to fear.

Although they did not exactly know the reason why, they could still instinctively feel the man before them was more than trouble.

It was the primal fear of a creature fearing their predator.

One single step, and Desther arrived in front of one of them almost in an instant.

Desther raised his hand leisurely.

SWOOSH!

BAM!

With a backhand slap, the Blastoad was struck and was shot like a bullet to the nearest tree.

The notification appeared in front of his eyes, but Desther ignored it as he took another step toward another Blastoad.

Slap!

Step!

Slap!

Step!

The process repeated, and the five Blastoads were no more just like that.

Honestly, at this point, Desther found no thrill in killing Blastoads. If it was not because of the mission, as well as the curiosity regarding Skill Fragments, he might even think that there was no longer any point in killing.

After all, his primary attributes had long surpassed a hundred.

If this could not be called him bullying the weak, then what is?

Seeing his attributes, Desther could truly not blame the fact that there would be a limit to how many Free Attributes he could gain from a single type of monster.

And even with such a limitation, Desther was still able to accumulate that many attribute points in just a span of a few hours.

The 100 Blastoads that he killed did not die in vain.

Not only did it allow him to increase his attributes to this terrifying degree, it also allowed him to raise his level to 7 in such a short period of time.

He recalled that when he entered the dungeon, he was only level 2. Now, he was already at level 7 and was already halfway to level 8.

There was no way that others would be able to replicate this thing.

Their killing efficiency would just fall short. After all, unlike Desther, they must take into consideration their resting time and their overall safety once inside the dungeon.

However, ever since Desther detected the Blastoads could no longer harm him, he became even bolder and has been killing them as effortlessly as possible.

Anyway, there was also another addition on his Profile Page.

It was the Skill Fragment count from the Blastoad he just killed. Five of them only gave him a total of 2.5, though, so he assumed that it would take a while before he could see what it was truly like to have 100 Skill Fragments from monsters he killed.

These last five kills did not give him any experience points as well.

A few moments later, Blastoads arrived and tried to avenge their comrade.

Desther, as always, eliminated them without a problem.

Familiar with their game, it could be said that Desther could now kill them with his eyes closed.

Not that he would do that, though.

As time passed by, bodies after bodies of Blastoad floated in the muddy water around him.

Due to the shower of blood, the muddy water now even looked like it came straight out of hell.

Desther had already lost count on how many Blastoads he killed since that last five. He was too lazy to count, as his gaze remained fixated on the mission as well as the Skill Fragments.

There was still no hint of competition from the mission, but his Skill Fragments rose steadily during this period of time. Taking a quick glance, Desther noted that the Blastoad Skill Fragments were already at 44.8.

’What’s taking them so long to arrive?’ He thought to himself as he realized that no Blastoads came even after a few minutes of waiting.

Even though none came, Desther never thought that all the Blastoads inside the dungeon were already killed.

Instead, his first thought was that there might be other factors that prevent or stop them from coming.

’Is it because I killed too many in this area alone?’

At this moment, Desther actually got it right.

Due to the dense death atmosphere in the area that he was in, Blastoas instinctively sensed that multiple of their comrades had fallen in that area.

No matter how vengeful they were, their courage was still not able to overcome primal fear.

The moment they sensed their brethren’s death and tried to come over for revenge, they would immediately turn around the moment they arrived near the area and sense the thick killing atmosphere.

An invisible pressure would descend upon them, making them terrified.

’If they’re not going to come... Then I should just switch locations.’

’And this mission... must I really destroy the dungeon core in order to complete it?

With his current strength, there should be no problem for him to fight the boss and clear the dungeon.

However, the problem would be locating the dungeon boss as well as the dungeon.

’An hour or two had already passed since I entered the dungeon. Multiple personnel from the outside world should have already come to inspect and properly grade the area.’

’If I am right, any minute now, the clearing team would enter and kill the dungeon monster to prevent a breakout from happening.’

’Searching for the dungeon core is not an easy thing. I guess I’ll move around and kill Blastoads while searching for the dungeon core. But first, I should check out the exit gate and see what is the situation there.’

Having decided what to do next, Desther did not waste any more time and continued toward the Exit Gate.

Along the way, he was able to kill ten more Blastoads but did not bother to wait for their reinforcements—if there were any—and continued to move forward as quickly as he could.

A few moments later, Desther saw the exit portal. And much to his surprise, he was actually not alone.
