Aside from the first one that gave him enough experience points to level up, Desther also realized that there was more.
As luck would have it, eight of the eleven Blastoad actually gave him experience points.
Even for a newly emerged dungeon, this kind of experience acquisition rate per monster was unprecedented.
Due to this, Desther’s level rose once again, earning him another 5 Free Attributes.
[ Your level has increased! ]
[ Free Attributes: +5 ]
Due to this, his level immediately increased to 4. He still had 6 more levels to go before he could initiate his first ascension and move up to Tier 1 from Tier 0.
By that time, a class would also present itself to him.
At this moment, though, Desther remained undecided about what kind of class he would pursue.
Both long-range builds like a mage and close-quarters builds like a warrior seemed good enough for him.
Anyway, there were now another 114.5 Free Attribute points that he could allocate after the last battle.
Not wanting to waste any more time, he allocated 110 Free Attributes toward his primary attributes, making the total for each of them at 67.
With this abnormal attribute, his overall body quality improved once more, getting significantly stronger compared to a few seconds ago.
With such a sudden increase, others would surely feel that they could not properly control their strength. However, Desther was different. With the help of his Ultimate Talent, controlling his strength has actually never been easier.
After he was done allocating and appreciating the increase in strength, Desther did not stay idle in one place.
With the number of Blastoads he killed, the location of the Exit Gate was as clear as day for Desther.
’Since Blastoads are vengeful creatures, I should just go near the Exit Gate and exit once the mission is considered completed. Maintaining a distance of 1 kilometer away from it should not be a problem,’ he thought to himself as he glanced at the direction of the Exit Gate.
Having decided that, he did not stay in the area any longer and instead sprinted off toward the gate’s location.
His speed was now comparable to superhuman speed. If seen with a mortal eye, Desther would just be a blur right before their eyes.
Leaping from one root to another, Desther soon arrived a kilometer away from the Exit Gate.
He stopped in his tracks and immediately searched for Blastoad nearby.
After a few seconds, Desther saw one Blastoad clinging to a tree, seemingly sleeping.
He did not bother to wake it up.
A Magic Bullet, now almost the size of his fist, materialized out of thin air right in front of him.
Without any pretense, the Magic Bullet flew and struck the Blastoad without any warning.
A minor explosion soon ensued. The Blastoad did not even know what was happening when its body exploded to mince meat due to the impact caused by the skill.
’It’s too destructive...’ Desther commented as he saw the aftermath of the skill’s damage.
Not only did it insta-kill the Blastoad, but the tree it was clinging to earlier also had a huge hole on the spot where the single Magic Bullet hit.
’I need to control its damage output sooner, or else it would become unusable.’
If all his monster kills resulted in such a gory scene, he would have nothing left to harvest and sell anymore. That would not be ideal, as he knew that the world had always revolved around money.
After dealing with this Blastoad, Desther waited for a few minutes before another showed up to avenge the one he just killed.
Since he was not planning to harvest any Blastoad materials for now, Desther did not show mercy and immediately released Magic Bullet toward it, killing it instantly as well.
With endless targets and now a renewed stamina and mana energy, Desther decided to practice his Magic Bullet skill a little bit.
Hence, from that moment on, every time a Blastoad came, a blast would come there to send them back to where they originally belonged.
They could not even perform their water blast skill. Desther would not allow them.
And just like that, time passes by like a blink of an eye.
With Blastoads spawning right after the first one was killed, Desther killed over thirty of them in just an hour. Most of his time was even spent waiting, while the time it took him to kill each Blastoad was less than two seconds.
His Free Attribute points grew and floated as if they were high on drugs. His experience points also received a major boost, racking up his level all the way to Level 8.
Once he reached this level, though, he noticed that the experience acquisition percentage had somehow dropped.
Where one Blastoad could give him 5% and above experience points before, after reaching level 8, getting 4% was even a rare scenario.
From the looks of it, the world system deemed the task too easy for him and, hence, lessened his acquisition rate. If he wanted to earn more, he must kill a lot more or kill an even stronger monster.
Another factor should also be the level difference.
It seems that killing monsters with weaker levels than oneself only provides an abysmal amount of experience points.
Another Magic Bullet flew without warning toward a capillary wave in the distance.
The Blastoad was not even allowed to announce its presence before it became his Free Attribute and experience points.
[ You have killed a monster: Blastoad- Experience Points +0.2% ]
[ Marked target eliminated! ]
[ Free Attributes: +8 ]
[ Theft Mark: 5/5 ]
And just when he thought the notification would end there, another one suddenly popped up in front of him.
[ Total number of Blastoad’s killed has reached 100! ]
[ You can no longer gain Free Attributes from Blastoads! ]
