Chapter 2582 - 2581: Spaceship
Xiangxue’s face lit up with joy after hearing this, "Really? It’s great that this thing is useful to you!"
"It’s more than useful, it’s extremely useful!"
Ling Feng nodded and continued, "But these things probably didn’t appear out of thin air. Let’s keep moving forward, maybe we’ll make new discoveries!"
"Okay!"
Xiangxue said a word and immediately followed him.
Now it was Ling Feng walking in front, and she was behind.
The two walked deeper into this underground space, surrounded by energy blocks scattered everywhere, numbering at least in the thousands.
Ling Feng wasn’t in a rush to collect them and continued to walk forward. Soon he reached the end of the space.
Ahead was a stone wall over ten meters high, with a dark hole at the base, about the height of a person.
Wind blew from the hole, and the air was relatively fresh. Ling Feng glanced back at Xiangxue, "Let’s go in and take a look."
"Okay!"
Ling Feng went ahead of her, and the two entered the hole.
After passing through a passage over ten meters long, they arrived at another space and saw a spindle-shaped metallic object slanted into the rocky ground!
This object was large, not much different from a miniature spaceship.
Ling Feng stepped forward, examined the metallic material, and turned back to Xiangxue, "This is also a spaceship!"
"How can it be so deep down here, has it been here for a long time?" Xiangxue asked.
"Probably, maybe it’s been here even before glaciers appeared in Antarctica!"
Ling Feng nodded, reached out, and touched the metal shell of the spaceship. It felt cold and slightly rough.
This was a completely new type of metal he had never seen before.
Seeing that the spaceship was actually damaged, Ling Feng took out the God Slayer Saber and tried to cut it.
The result was surprising; although the God Slayer Saber was able to cut through the metal, it took considerable effort, much more difficult than cutting other materials!
This means the hardness of these metals was beyond that of ordinary Earthly items!
Upon this discovery, Ling Feng clicked his tongue in amazement, then forcefully cut off a shard and stored it in the Space Ring.
This can provide a sample for Ling Yun’s core to analyze the alloy’s composition, to see if it can be synthesized.
If metal with such strength is made into a spaceship, its strength would be incredibly high, surpassing the likes of Ling Yun and other spacecraft.
Ling Feng circled around this spaceship but didn’t find an entrance inside, so he thought for a while and used Kai Tian to cut away some of the rocks. Under gravity’s influence, the spaceship collapsed with a boom, revealing the part embedded in the rock.
Seeing a round opening, Ling Feng said to Xiangxue, "I’ll go inside and take a look, you wait for me outside!"
"Okay!"
Xiangxue nodded, and said while pursing her lips, "Be careful."
"Got it!"
Ling Feng said, then crawled into the opening.
Once inside, the space opened up dramatically, turning into a space two meters high and about four to five meters wide.
Strangely, there were no instruments or control panels inside!
It was a completely smooth metal space, containing nothing but a few seats!
Ling Feng stood there in a daze, his mind filled with confusion.
This didn’t seem like what a spaceship should look like at all.
At the very least, this exceeded his understanding of spacecraft.
After making a round, still finding no place to control the spaceship, Ling Feng had to walk out, then reached out and stored the entire ship in his Space Ring.
Then he said to Xiangxue, "This thing is quite strange, and I don’t know where it came from. I need to take it back for further study."
"Okay, what about those energy blocks?" Xiangxue asked.
"Let’s collect some first; there’s too much to take away all at once."
Ling Feng said, then laughed, "By the way, I owe you another big thank you for today’s events!"
"No need to be so polite, I didn’t know these things would be useful to you either." Xiangxue said.
The two of them returned to the front of the underground space and, looking at the energy blocks around them, Ling Feng chuckled, "With so many energy blocks, we’re really striking it rich!"
Then the two began collecting. With Xiangxue also having spatial equipment, their combined efforts naturally sped up the process.
In just a few minutes, Xiangxue suddenly exclaimed, causing Ling Feng to rush to her side, "What’s wrong?"
"There’s a corpse here!"
Xiangxue pointed ahead.
Following her finger, Ling Feng immediately saw a corpse leaning against a rock.
Who knows how many years had passed, the corpse had turned into a mummy, its face unrecognizable.
Oddly enough, although the human body had become a mummy, the clothing remained intact, only covered with a layer of dust.
Squatting down for a closer look, Ling Feng discovered a hole in this person’s chest, which must’ve been the fatal wound.
He knew this person had come out of that spaceship, but considering there were several chairs inside, there should be others as well. So Ling Feng said to Xiangxue, "Let’s stop collecting for now and see if there are any more bodies!"
"Okay!"
Xiangxue nodded and turned her gaze beyond the energy blocks.
After a search, they indeed found two more bodies.
The deaths of these two people were similar to the first, all having fatal wounds, with their clothes also perfectly preserved and not rotted.
"Ling brother, look there!"
Xiangxue pointed, and Ling Feng looked over, suddenly taken aback.
On the opposite stone wall, there was a large humanoid imprint, intertwined with many black substances.
Upon a closer look, Ling Feng drew a sharp breath, "Wow, it’s a person!"
"Why is it so big?" Xiangxue asked.
"This person was flung against the wall at extremely high speed, instantly bursting to death!"
Ling Feng said, then pointed at the black substances, "These are his internal organs, and the black stuff should be his blood."
"Oh my god..."
Xiangxue exclaimed and covered her mouth in shock.
Ling Feng observed the surrounding energy blocks and suddenly realized something, "Maybe when this person burst, the energy blocks he carried scattered here!"
"What exactly happened to them?"
Xiangxue felt the hypothesis made sense but was still full of doubt.
Ling Feng could only smile wryly, "That’s something we can’t determine, maybe there was infighting, or some other reason."
Saying this, he returned to the side of the first mummy and carefully removed its clothes.
After a few glances, Ling Feng raised his head, "These clothes are not simple either!"
