Ling Feng wasn’t in a hurry to leave America, because he still had things to take care of.

The last time he was in the Aztec ruins, he accidentally acquired a Crystal Skull, which sparked a deep interest in the object. Later, upon learning the whereabouts of another skull, he naturally wanted to find a way to get it.

Catherine drove all the way at high speed, reaching Washington D.C. by noon. The two then found a hotel in the downtown area and checked in.

Once in the room, Ling Feng sat down and called Rick.

Once the call connected, Rick asked, "Boss, have you arrived?"

"Yes, and you?" Ling Feng asked.

"I arrived this morning. Where are you now? I’ll come find you!" Rick said.

Ling Feng nodded, gave him the hotel address, and then hung up the phone.

The two had already contacted each other by phone before. Rick had come to Washington D.C. this time for work and would become acting deputy director after returning. It wouldn’t be long before he could officially become the deputy director.

Ling Feng wasn’t too concerned about his position. Since he hadn’t left America yet, he could still use Rick’s position to handle some things for himself.

Once everything was settled, he could have him resign and take his family to Huaxia together.

Half an hour later, Rick arrived at the hotel.

Upon seeing Ling Feng, he laughed and said, "Boss, you got here so quickly, I wasn’t even ready yet!"

"No rush, there’s nothing pressing right now anyway, waiting a bit is okay!"

Ling Feng smiled, patted him on the shoulder, and asked, "How’s it going? Did everyone get the Gold?"

"Yes, everyone received the goods, no issues whatsoever!" Rick nodded.

"All right then!"

Ling Feng smiled and sat down, saying, "Once everyone is settled, anyone wanting to come to Huaxia to find me can leave at any time!"

"Okay, I’ll get in touch with everyone!"

Rick nodded and then added, "Boss, what you’re planning to do this time, no one else in the world would dare. Don’t blame me for being wordy, but the risk is quite high!"

"I know!"

Ling Feng smiled, "Infiltrating the place where the American President goes for vacation is indeed risky, but rest assured, as long as we’re cautious, nothing major will happen!"

"Hmm, once I have the blueprints, I’ll send them to you immediately," Rick said.

"No rush on that, be sure to be very cautious and protect yourself. It’s easy for me to succeed, but if you get exposed, that’s trouble!" Ling Feng said.

"I know!"

Rick nodded and then laughed, "Don’t worry, boss. I’ve been a special agent for many years. If anyone investigates after the fact, I’m familiar with the methods and procedures, and they definitely won’t trace it back to me!"

"Then I’m relieved!" Ling Feng said with a smile.

They chatted for a while, but since Rick still had things to do, he got up to leave the hotel.

Soon after, Catherine brought some food back, and the two had a makeshift lunch.

Seeing it was only two in the afternoon, Catherine asked, "Are you just planning to sit in the hotel and wait for Rick’s update?"

"Yeah, why not?"

Ling Feng looked at her, somewhat puzzled, asking.

"If there’s nothing else, why don’t you come with me?" Catherine asked.

"Where to?"

Ling Feng was a bit surprised. They hadn’t mentioned this before, and he didn’t expect Catherine to suddenly make such a request.

In the end, Catherine smiled and said, "To my house!"

"Hmm?"

Ling Feng was a bit stunned and sat up straight, "Your house? What’s the situation?"

"Strictly speaking, it’s my parents’ house. I haven’t really been back since I went to college. Now that I’m in Washington D.C., I thought I’d visit!" Catherine said.

Ling Feng heaved a sigh of relief and then nodded, "All right then, since you want me to go, I’ll accompany you!"

"Great, I’m going to change now, and we’ll set off right away!"

Catherine was clearly very happy, bouncing back to her room.

A moment later, she emerged from the room dressed in casual attire.

The two went downstairs, and Catherine drove off towards her parents’ house.

The car left the city and entered a small town in the suburbs. Catherine slowed down and turned to Ling Feng, saying, "We’re almost there!"

"This town is really nice, beautiful scenery, lush greenery, it’s a great place for retirement!" Ling Feng praised.

Catherine smiled sweetly but said nothing.

As they entered the town, it wasn’t long before the car stopped in front of a three-story house.

With a flip of his palm, Ling Feng made two bottles of apple cider appear, catching Catherine by surprise!

"I’ve seen American movies, and it’s customary to bring something when visiting someone’s home!" Ling Feng said with a smile.

"That’s thoughtful, though it’s not really necessary!"

Catherine was very happy, even though she said it wasn’t needed, she was genuinely delighted.

The two got out of the car and went to the door, rang the doorbell, and a slightly graying-haired woman answered!

Seeing Catherine, the woman was startled, then exclaimed, "Oh my goodness, why did you come back all of a sudden!"

"Mom, I wanted to surprise you!"

Catherine smiled, stepping forward to hug the woman.

Ling Feng watched from the side, a smile on his face.

At that moment, a man in his fifties, wearing glasses, with a very kind and gentle face, walked out from the house.

These were Catherine’s parents. After introductions, the two were very welcoming to Ling Feng, quickly inviting them inside.

Inside the American-style house, they walked through the hallway to the living room, where Catherine pulled Ling Feng to sit down.

Just like meeting the in-laws in Huaxia, Ling Feng sat down and answered some of the parents’ questions, introducing his age, identity, and work situation.

Of course, these details were selectively shared. Some things, while not confidential, weren’t particularly useful to mention.

Though Catherine’s parents had watched the Superpower Users’ tournament, Ling Feng hadn’t really appeared, so they didn’t know his true identity.

Not just Ling Feng, they weren’t very clear about their own daughter’s work either, only knowing she worked for a civil organization, but not knowing the specifics.

After chatting for a bit, Catherine’s mother went to prepare dinner, and her father also went to help in the kitchen.

Ling Feng sat on the sofa, glancing around, noticing photos on the shelf, and curiously asked, "Do you have a younger brother?"
