Chapter 705: A Mistaken Entry
Ling Feng’s mind stirred, and it seemed he had caught onto something but was still a bit unclear, so he asked An Xue, "What do you understand?"
"Look at Orion’s Belt, this is Earth, it’s Earth!"
An Xue’s face lit up with excitement as she pointed to the planet in the sky, "I just rounded the bend, and if I really left from this place, then the fact that my parents were able to meet me means this was originally on Earth, otherwise how could the younger me have traveled from another time and space to Earth?"
"Uh..."
Ling Feng thought it over and realized that made sense!
He hadn’t paid attention to this detail before, and since he had come from the bottom of the Fifth Layer of the ocean, he subconsciously felt as though he was in a different time and space.
After An Xue mentioned it, he realized that both he and she had been stuck on a minor point!
However, now that it was certain they were on Earth, it was of no use, Ling Feng chuckled bitterly, put his arms around her shoulders, and said, "Don’t be too happy; it’s useless!"
"Why?" An Xue turned her head and asked.
"Think about it, this is the vast ocean, we have no idea where we are now, and if we’re deep in the ocean, what good is knowing we’re on Earth?"
"That..."
An Xue was stunned, and the smile on her face slowly faded away.
After a long while, she sighed lightly, "That doesn’t matter, as long as we have hope, we can always make it home. Robinson Crusoe drifted on the sea for so many years, but didn’t he make it back home in the end?"
"That’s true, if there are Huaxia satellites above us, maybe the Director could see me!" Ling Feng pointed towards the sky and said.
"The odds of that are rather slim!" An Xue knew he was joking and shook her head helplessly.
After a moment of silence, An Xue turned to look at Ling Feng, "Right, didn’t your sisters mention that you can teleport?"
"Yes, but there are distance limitations on that; it’s impossible if it’s too far away due to insufficient spiritual power."
Ling Feng shook his head, glanced around and said, "We can’t even tell north from south, let alone know how far we are from home."
"How can you know without trying? What if it’s possible?" An Xue tilted her head and asked.
Actually, she didn’t care whether they left or not. As long as she was with Ling Feng, it was all the same to her.
It was just that seeing his spirits down, An Xue had been trying to come up with solutions for him.
Ling Feng smiled, gave teleportation a try, and as expected, it was clearly a lack of spiritual power; he didn’t succeed at all.
However, An Xue’s words reminded him of something, so he took out a football-sized Spirit Stone from the ring that he had obtained earlier.
Seeing this, An Xue curiously asked, "What is this for?"
"We lack spiritual power because the Spirit Stone in my pendant is too small. We still have a larger one, maybe it will work!" Ling Feng said.
"Oh, how do we do it, do you need my help?"
An Xue sat up straight and immediately asked.
"Just hold the Spirit Stone for me."
Ling Feng nodded his head and handed the high-quality Spirit Stone to her.
An Xue cradled the Spirit Stone, watching as Ling Feng took off the pendant around his neck, and pried off the nail-sized Spirit Stone.
He placed the remaining part of the pendant on the Spirit Stone, then Ling Feng held An Xue’s hands, "Whether this works or not, we’ll see in a moment!"
"Yes!"
An Xue nodded solemnly, "I believe, it will definitely work!"
Ling Feng smiled, then triggered the Teleportation Array!
A beam of white light shone from the Spirit Stone, then like a searchlight, the pillar of light shot up into the sky!
In the blink of an eye, the white light suddenly brightened, dazzling both of them, and they quickly closed their eyes!
Following that, the sea breeze beside them vanished, and Ling Feng and An Xue felt themselves transported to a different location—a remarkably quiet environment filled with a faint fragrance!
Upon opening their eyes, the two realized they were in an unfamiliar setting that seemed like a girl’s boudoir.
"What, what place is this?"
An Xue was taken aback, glancing around at her surroundings.
Ling Feng was equally confused; he had never been to this place before. Where could it be?
While pondering, he suddenly spotted a telephone on the dressing table. He immediately rushed over and picked it up.
It wasn’t locked, so Ling Feng felt a sigh of relief and without a second thought dialed Li Shiyun’s number!
He may not remember other numbers, but he knew this one like the back of his hand.
As soon as the ringtone started, Ling Feng’s spirits lifted!
In his heart, he silently urged, "Please answer, please answer." It wasn’t until almost half a minute of ringing that he heard a weary voice from the other end, "Who is it?"
Hearing that familiar voice, Ling Feng’s eyes reddened!
Suppressing the overwhelming emotions in his heart, he replied calmly, "It’s me."
"Ling Feng?"
Li Shiyun exclaimed in surprise, followed by the voices of other girls nearby, "Is it him?"
"Yes!"
Li Shiyun turned on the speakerphone, and then immediately asked, "Where are you?"
"I’m not sure, it’s a strange room. I haven’t seen the owner yet, I’m using his number to call you!" Ling Feng said with a wry smile.
"Based on the location tagged with your number, you should be in South Sea Province."
Li Shiyun said, "As long as you’re back, that’s good. Just stay there, don’t move, we’ll come to get you!"
"No, I’ll find a way to get back on my own. Is everyone, back home, okay?" Ling Feng asked.
"We’re all fine! Nobody cares about your disappearance!" Li Fei’er’s voice came through.
Ling Feng chuckled bitterly; the girl was clearly holding a grudge against him!
The more she said she wasn’t worried, the more it showed that everyone missed him deeply. So he quickly reassured, "Alright, then I’m relieved. Since you’re not worried, I’ll just spend a bit more time here with An Xue!"
"You dare!"
Li Fei’er, hearing this, became frantic and immediately shouted!
Then, Ling Yao’s calm voice followed, "I’m giving you ten hours to get back here, immediately!"
With that statement from her, Ling Feng didn’t dare say anything more, so he nodded, "Okay, I’ll figure out the place, then get in touch with you all."
After he hung up the phone,
he turned back to speak with An Xue, only to find out that she was being held by a woman with a gleaming dagger pressed against her neck!
Ling Feng panicked, "Fuck, what’s going on!"
"That’s what I want to ask you. Who are you? How did you enter my room?"
The other person was a woman in her twenties, very delicate looking, somewhat resembling An Xue, but her eyes were especially sharp, even containing a trace of murderous intent.
Ling Feng could tell that she was a trained fighter, at the very least in the Qi Strength Realm. To prevent An Xue from getting hurt, he could only explain, "We didn’t mean to, it was an accidental teleportation!"
"Nonsense, the teleportation array in my room is private, outsiders can’t just appear here!" the girl retorted.
Ling Feng shrugged, "Whether you believe me or not, I can’t help it, but that’s the truth. We were trying to teleport home, and somehow we ended up here."
