Chapter 546: Arriving Upon Invitation
The next morning, sunlight streamed into the room and Ling Feng woke up leisurely, reaching out to touch the person beside him, only to find nothing there!
Opening his eyes, he saw that Li Yun was no longer in bed.
Getting up to check the time, he realized it was already eight in the morning, and the sun was already high in the sky!
Ling Feng gave a wry smile and thought to himself that he’d stayed up too late last night and unexpectedly slept in.
Although he had been through a fierce battle the night before, he still felt as if his entire body was brimming with strength, bursting with vitality!
He jumped out of bed, got dressed, stepped out the door, and stretched in the sunlight, feeling extremely good.
Any gloominess brought by Kong Sheng was long forgotten; his heart was now filled with aspirations for a wonderful life!
After teleporting to Nine Heavens, Chu Nan was already waiting for him.
Seeing Ling Feng arrive, the old man smiled, "How come you just got up?"
"Uh, I haven’t really slept much these past few days, so I just slept a bit longer this time!"
Ling Feng said with an embarrassed smile, scratching his head.
Chu Nan didn’t ask further, just nodded, "Alright, let’s go!"
Once they left Nine Heavens and were outside, Chu Nan returned to the car and began making phone calls.
Ling Feng didn’t want to listen in, so he stayed inside to wait, and ended up waiting for an hour.
When Chu Nan came back after finishing his calls, Ling Feng asked, "How did it go, is everything arranged now?"
"Of course, who would dare to oppose my decision as a leader of the Chu Family?" said Chu Nan.
Ling Feng smiled and thought to himself, such a big decision can be made by one person? Doesn’t the Chu Family have many descendants?
But he didn’t want to ask if the process was complicated, so he continued, "What about buying the forest to the west?"
"Someone will handle that, you don’t need to worry, work can start in three or two days," Chu Nan said.
Ling Feng clicked his tongue in amazement, if that was true, the efficiency was indeed very high.
Before he could speak, Chu Nan asked, "By the way, how are things with Chu Bo?"
"No news yet, but don’t worry, he won’t have any problems!"
Chu Nan looked intently at Ling Feng, taking in his expression seriously, then nodded, "I know he’ll be fine, but it’s been three days, there should be some result by now."
Ling Feng didn’t know what to say and just chuckled, "Yeah, maybe we’ll have a conclusion today?"
Just as he said this, his phone rang.
He thought it was Wang Laogen calling, but when he checked the caller ID, it turned out to be Lu Zixuan!
Seeing his name, Ling Feng frowned slightly and answered, "What’s up?"
"Mr. Ling, are you busy lately?" came the voice of Lu Zixuan, filled with a smile.
Hearing his respectful tone, Ling Feng nodded, "Not too busy, nothing urgent right now."
"Then could you please find some time to visit our Lu Family? Our Family Head also happens to be free these days..." Lu Zixuan asked cautiously.
Ling Feng hesitated for a moment, then nodded, "Sure, I’ll make the trip, but I can’t stay for long, might have to leave after a short while!"
"That’s alright, as long as you can come!" Lu Zixuan said with a laugh.
After hanging up, Ling Feng turned to Chu Nan, "Lu Fei finally wants to meet with me!"
Chu Nan mused, "This call certainly came at an opportune time!"
Ling Feng was startled, "What do you mean?"
"Nothing much. Just go if you’ve been asked. He has certainly had his eye on your affairs with our Chu Family and the Qiao Family for some time, and he is very covetous of the top-grade Spirit Stones. The fact that he has waited until now to approach you shows he can be quite patient!" Chu Nan said with a smile.
It seemed that Ling Feng had thought of something but chose not to voice it. Seeing this, Ling Feng did not ask further and nodded instead, "Alright, then I’ll go take a look. If he wants Spirit Stones, it’s not that I can’t give them, but it depends on the sincerity of the other party!"
"What the Lu Family has the most is money; don’t make the bargain too light!" Chu Nan raised his eyebrows suggestively.
An old and a young man looked at each other and smiled, resembling two cunning merchants.

Driving away from Shiliu Village, Ling Feng set out on his own.
He felt that visiting the Lu Family was not a big deal. He would just go and see if there was any advantage to be gained, and if not, he would just leave without the need to bring others along.
Following the highway northward, crossing province lines, and after driving for another two hours, Ling Feng finally exited the expressway and followed the navigation onto the provincial road.
After driving for another hour or so, from a distance, he saw a hill rising prominently amidst the vast flat fields.
Ling Feng glanced in that direction a few times, feeling intrigued, and mused, "What place is this, where everything is flat land and suddenly there’s a hill popping up here?"
Such a place should be a scenic spot, right?
While contemplating this and driving, he discovered to his surprise that the navigation was directing him towards the hill. Suddenly, he became unsettled.
Could it be that the Lu Family lived on that hill?
Indeed, as his car approached the foot of the hill and with only a concrete road leading up the mountain ahead, Ling Feng found himself at a loss for words.
Living on a hill was not unusual, but living on the only hill in this vast plain, that was different!
Since he could not yet see the situation on the hill, Ling Feng could only guess what the Lu Family’s environment was like while continuing to drive upwards.
When he reached the midpoint of the mountain, a sheer right-angled turn appeared on the road ahead. As Ling Feng turned the corner, the view suddenly cleared!
This side of the mountain peak appeared to have been cut open by a sharp Sword, leaving only half remaining!
Below the straight cliff, on the massive semicircular plateau, sat dozens of buildings of various designs, including antique wooden buildings and modern homes with tiled facades. The buildings were spread out in a well-organized manner, resembling a small town.
Ling Feng slowed down, looking at this cluster of buildings while inwardly marvelling that, although he had never visited the Chu Family, he felt the Lu Family’s presence must be the foremost among the three great families!
Having moving forward a little further, a large gate blocked the way. A man emerged from a nearby house, scrutinized Ling Feng, and asked, "Who goes there?"
"My name is Ling Feng. Do you have a notification on your end?" asked Ling Feng.
"Oh, it’s you. Please come in!"
The gatekeeper’s face brightened as he pressed a remote control.
The gates parted, and Ling Feng immediately saw even more of the landscape.
A large field was planted with various plants, all flourishing in greenery, with children running and laughing along the field ridges, exuding a true rustic charm.
"Head over to the reception inside, someone will guide you in," the gatekeeper said.
Ling Feng thanked him and drove in.
As soon as he reached the reception area mentioned by the security guard, Lu Zixuan emerged from inside the house, his face beaming like a flower, "Mr. Ling, you’ve arrived quite swiftly!"
"Not really, I have also driven for several hours!"
Ling Feng smiled and got out of the car, his mind buzzing with speculation about what the Lu Family Head would be like. Would he be the same sort as Lu Liang?
