Qiao Yunshan thought his companion was very interested in his story and grew even more animated.

Xu Yun walked into the pavilion, laughing and chatting with Song Xiaowei and Yu Xuan. He’d just wanted to rest for a bit, but to his surprise, the first person he saw was Su Mu.

She was dressed in a white cheongsam with an embroidered pattern, her hair elegantly coiffed. She sat in the pavilion, watching him and his companions with a knowing look on her face.

Yu Xuan and Song Xiaowei were already head-turners, but they paled in comparison to Su Mu, who had clearly taken special care to dress up.

Next to her was a man in his thirties.

The three of them stared at her in surprise.

Qiao Yunshan, who was sitting beside her, also noticed the unusual situation and stopped his story.

Qiao Yunshan was thrilled to hear Su Mu’s praise, but he made sure not to let it show on his face.

"Any friend of Miss Su’s is a friend of mine. It’s a pleasure to meet you all."

He sized up Xu Yun, then extended a hand. "You look awfully familiar. May I have your name? And what industry are you in?"

’Anyone who can get into this party can’t be an ordinary person. After all, what ordinary guy can show up with two beautiful women in tow? A beautiful woman is a luxury item. You can’t hold onto one without some real power of your own.’

Xu Yun glared at Su Mu.

Then he replied, "I’m Xu Yun. Currently unemployed. And I’m quite sure this is the first time we’ve met."

’So he’s a rich heir.’

Qiao Yunshan pressed, "So what does your family do? Perhaps we’ll have a chance to collaborate in the future."

"We’re just an ordinary family. I doubt there’s any basis for us to collaborate."

Walking beside Xu Yun, Su Mu asked with a smile, "Are you mad?"

"I’m not mad."

Xu Yun said coolly, "Who you hang out with is none of my damn business."

"See? You are mad."

Xu Yun shot back, "Do you know this is an overnight event?"

"I know."

"You knew, and you still came with him? Are you trying to cuck me?"

"Of course not. I just used him to get in here and find you."

Su Mu explained with a smile, "I knew I’d run into you here. So even if it’s an overnight stay, I’ll be spending it in your room."

Xu Yun was at a loss for words.

’Sigh. That poor bastard just got used as an entry ticket.’

"Speaking of which," Su Mu said, "you’re not mad that I interrupted your little party, are you?"

Su Mu glanced at the two women behind him. "Young Master Xu really knows how to have fun, bringing two at once. Think you can handle them?"

"First of all, I ran into Song Xiaowei by accident. I didn’t ask her to come."

Xu Yun gave her a look and said confidently, "And second, are you underestimating my stamina?

"Forget two. Even if you join in, I could take all three of you on tonight without even flinching!"
