"Where did you go?"

The call connected, and Su Mu asked, "We got back from grocery shopping, but you weren’t here."

"Oh, something came up, so I had to step out for a bit."

Xu Yun said, "I’ll be back soon."

"I brought Chen Xin over to my place to help me cook."

Su Mu said, "Since you’re already out, can you pick up Jinshu for me on your way back? She’s about to get off work."

"Okay."

"Oh, right, and Ning Qian."

Su Mu paused, then said, "I think she’s at the construction site with Jinshu. You should ask her to come eat with us, too. The more, the merrier."

Xu Yun glanced down at Ning Qian and replied, "Alright, I’ll ask her when the time comes."

After he hung up, Ning Qian, who had overheard the conversation, said, "I don’t think I’ll go to dinner."

"Why? Not comfortable?"

"That’s not it."

Ning Qian said, blushing, "I’m a little tired right now. After you leave, I want to take a nap."

"In that case, let me make you a little more tired."

Xu Yun grinned. "That way, you’ll sleep better later."

"Mmm..." Ning Qian murmured.

「Baiyun Company Construction Site.」

Li Jinshu was there alone, wearing a hard hat and directing the renovation workers. She was incredibly busy.

During a short break, she gazed at the company slowly taking shape before her and found herself missing Xu Yun.

’He’s been gone on his trip for days, why isn’t he back yet!’

Just as Li Jinshu was grumbling to herself, a car horn went BEEP.

She looked toward the sound and saw a familiar Bentley parked not far from her.

Xu Yun opened the car door and walked toward her with a smile.

Li Jinshu stood up, surprised. "What are you doing back?"

"I missed you, so I came back."

Xu Yun answered without blushing or his heart skipping a beat.

"I don’t believe you." Although Li Jinshu said that, she couldn’t hide the happiness on her face.

It didn’t matter if Xu Yun meant it or not; it sounded nice.

What woman wouldn’t like hearing such sweet nothings?

Xu Yun reached out, took off her hard hat, and smoothed her messy bangs. "Come on," he said, "time to clock out and go home for dinner."

"But I haven’t finished today’s tasks yet."

"Let the workers handle it."

Xu Yun took her hand and said, "I’m starving."

"Alright, then."

Persuaded by Xu Yun, Li Jinshu got in the car with him to head back.

At first, she thought it was a date for just the two of them, but when she got home, she was in for a big surprise.

Not only was Su Mu there, but so was Xu Yun’s blind date.

When Li Jinshu saw Chen Xin, she gave an awkward smile and said, "Hi, we meet again."

"Hello."

Chen Xin gave a knowing smile at Li Jinshu, the woman who had snuck into Xu Yun’s house last time.

’So, Xu Yun has two neighbors, and they’re both gorgeous.’

To avoid the awkwardness, Li Jinshu immediately ran into the kitchen to help Su Mu and, while at it, ask what was going on.

"What’s to go on?"

Su Mu said with a smile, "She came all this way and is leaving tomorrow. As Xu Yun’s neighbors, we should treat her to a meal."

"She’s leaving tomorrow?" Li Jinshu was instantly a little happy to hear that.

’Good riddance!’

’Otherwise, if she kept living at Xu Yun’s place, feelings would eventually develop even if there were none to begin with.’
