Ling Ning looked helplessly at the little girl, Dong Xue, sitting in her lap. She hadn’t expected to be sneak-attacked by a child. What was this? Although... it didn’t feel entirely bad.
Hearing Ling Ning’s question, Dong Xue tilted her head and replied, "Just now, I saw Sister and the other big sister do the same thing."

Dong Xue’s innocent words filled Ling Ning with a sudden sense of guilt. Helpless, she explained, "Well, let’s talk about that when Xiao Xue grows up a little more~"
Dong Xue’s small mouth formed a slight pout, as if silently protesting—why was being young such a disqualifier?
After resting for a bit, Ling Ning pondered where to take Dong Xue next when her phone suddenly vibrated. It was a call from Yang Bing.
"Ling Ning? Where are you two? I’ve already finished shopping for clothes~"
"That fast?"
"Well, everything just looked so good that I couldn’t resist buying it all~"
Yang Bing’s tone sounded cheerful, clearly pleased with her purchases.
After Ling Ning sent her location, it didn’t take long for Yang Bing to arrive. She smiled apologetically. "I’m so sorry for always troubling you to take care of Xiao Xue."
"It’s nothing. I really like Xiao Xue too~"
Dong Xue, however, was less than happy about her mother’s arrival. She seemed to wonder why her mom had come back so soon. Still, she obediently returned to Yang Bing’s side, albeit with a reluctant expression.
Seeing Dong Xue’s wistful glance, Ling Ning chuckled softly and said, "Xiao Xue, be good. I’ll come find you to play again when I have time, okay?"
"Okay."
Yang Bing, too, noticed her daughter’s expression but didn’t know what to say. Her little girl was just too attached to Ling Ning. If she suggested letting Xiao Xue stay at Ling Ning’s house for ten days or half a month, the girl would likely agree without hesitation.
"It’s about time we head back. Xiao Xue and I will get going now."
"Alright, Master. Take care."
After Yang Bing and Dong Xue left, Ling Ning sat back on the bench. With only a few days left of her rare vacation, she couldn’t think of anything to do. It felt like such a waste of life.
Squinting slightly, she thought for a moment and decided to head home to play games with her daughter. At least that would bring her some enjoyment.
As for shopping? She didn’t feel like buying anything, so she had zero interest in wandering around.
Just as she stood up to hail a taxi, a familiar figure appeared in her line of sight. Her previously dull eyes brightened with a spark of interest.
It was Li Qian. Ling Ning was sure the girl hadn’t noticed her yet.
Silently creeping up behind Li Qian, who seemed engrossed in her phone, Ling Ning saw the perfect opportunity for a sneak attack.
With a mischievous grin, she reached out and placed her hands on Li Qian’s waist.
Startled, Li Qian froze for a moment, her brain short-circuiting before she burst out laughing involuntarily.

Li Qian’s voice was loud enough to draw the attention of passersby. But that alone wasn’t enough to make Ling Ning let go.
After a while, Li Qian, now supported by Ling Ning, found herself sitting on a bench nearby. If looks could kill, Ling Ning would’ve been obliterated by Li Qian’s glare.
"Don’t look at me like that. I was just joking~"
"Hmph."
Li Qian turned her head away in a huff. Doing something like that to her in public—unforgivable! If anyone she knew had seen it, her image would be ruined.
"Don’t be mad. How about I let you tickle me back later? You know I’m super ticklish~"
"Who wants to tickle you?"
Despite her words, Li Qian’s gaze instinctively flicked to Ling Ning’s slender waist. It looked like it would feel pretty nice to touch...

Ling Ning’s cheerful grin widened. Teasing Li Qian was just too much fun.
"You little brat! Do you want me to tickle you until you can’t even function?" Li Qian snapped, glaring at Ling Ning.
"Not here, though. What if one of us has a wardrobe malfunction? Giving out free shows isn’t really my style~"
"Tch."
As if remembering something, Ling Ning asked curiously, "By the way, Xiao Qian Qian, why are you out alone? Where’s your sister?"
"She said it was too cold, so she’s probably still bundled up at home."
Initially, Li Qian hadn’t wanted to go out either. But with her favorite cosmetics on sale today, she decided to brave the weather. Running into Ling Ning made it seem like her decision had paid off. Even the heavens seemed to favor her today.
"Really? Then who’s that over there?"
Ling Ning pointed to someone not far away, glancing around nervously—Li Meng.

"If Mom hadn’t tossed me out, I wouldn’t be here. But now it seems like going out wasn’t such a bad choice~" Li Meng said as she casually plopped down on Ling Ning’s other side, naturally wrapping an arm around her.
