Chapter 633 : Quite Popular Among Lolicon
“I’m at the school gate now.”
Ling Ning stood at the entrance of Zhou Xiaoxiao’s school, a private girls’ academy that operated under semi-closed management. During regular class hours, students weren’t allowed to leave campus unless it was the weekend or a holiday.
As for why Ling Ning was here, it was naturally because Zhou Xiaoxiao had invited her, asking for help with tutoring. Ling Ning had finished her work and had no other plans, so she decided to come.
If the invitation had come just a few days later, Ling Ning would’ve already left town.
“Wait there for a bit. I’ll be right out~” Zhou Xiaoxiao’s voice was soft, likely because she was in a place where she couldn’t speak loudly.
After a while, as Ling Ning began to wonder if Zhou Xiaoxiao was lost, someone tugged lightly at her sleeve. She turned around instinctively and found Zhou Xiaoxiao standing silently behind her, staring up at her.
It had to be said—Zhou Xiaoxiao’s school was rather unique. Even in winter, the uniform was a skirt. However, it did look quite nice.
“How did you sneak up behind me?”
“Think about it. Could I have just walked out the front gate?”
Ling Ning paused. So Zhou Xiaoxiao had snuck out.
“It’s still class time, isn’t it? Are you sure it’s okay to just leave like this?”
“It’s fine. There’s no class today, just a break period. But I’m not supposed to leave either. Why else would I call you over?” Zhou Xiaoxiao rolled her eyes and grabbed Ling Ning’s hand, leading her toward a nearby public restroom.
At the restroom entrance, Zhou Xiaoxiao handed a bag to Ling Ning and said, “Here, change into this. I borrowed a uniform from someone. Once you’re wearing it, you can roam around the school.”
“Huh?!”
Blinking in surprise, Ling Ning hesitated but eventually took the clothes and stepped into the restroom. She was curious about Zhou Xiaoxiao’s school and figured that the worst that could happen was being kicked out—no big deal.
A short while later, Ling Ning emerged, now dressed in the school uniform. The fit was impeccable, blending seamlessly with her figure. Paired with a scarf, her disguise was flawless.
It was clear Zhou Xiaoxiao had put effort into this. Ling Ning had assumed the uniform would be Zhou Xiaoxiao’s size, but it wasn’t.
“Not bad, not bad. Let’s go~”
Zhou Xiaoxiao said cheerfully, leading the way. Entering through the front gate was, of course, out of the question. Ling Ning followed Zhou Xiaoxiao through winding alleys until they reached the back entrance.
Taking out a key, Zhou Xiaoxiao unlocked the gate. For the first time, Ling Ning stepped onto Zhou Xiaoxiao’s school grounds.
Curious, Ling Ning asked, “How do you have a key to the back gate?”
“Oh, I made a copy, of course~”
Naturally, the back gate key wouldn’t be accessible to students. Zhou Xiaoxiao had once seen the dean drop it by accident. Instead of returning it immediately, she made a copy before handing it back. That was how she managed to slip in and out of the school during lockdowns.
“Fine. But you didn’t bring me here just to tour the school, right?”
“Let’s go to the library. It’s better to talk face-to-face than over the phone, don’t you think?”
Following Zhou Xiaoxiao, Ling Ning took in the sights of the private girls’ academy. Judging by the grandeur of the architecture, her own school didn’t stand a chance in comparison. However, possibly because it was already the holiday season, the campus was mostly deserted. Only a few third-year students remained, diligently studying.
It was also a rest day, so most people had gone elsewhere. On their way to the library, they only encountered a handful of people.
The library, however, was slightly busier.
No one paid any attention to Ling Ning and Zhou Xiaoxiao as they entered, both in school uniforms. Some even greeted Zhou Xiaoxiao without realizing Ling Ning was an unfamiliar face.
Just as the two were looking for a quieter spot, a surprised moan broke the silence.
Raising an eyebrow, Ling Ning instinctively turned toward the source of the sound. She spotted two beautiful girls standing by a bookshelf. One, a timid-looking girl, was being held in the arms of the other, a tall girl with long black hair. The tall girl’s hand was… under the other’s skirt!?
Ling Ning froze momentarily before Zhou Xiaoxiao quickly pulled her away.
“Don’t stare at others like that~”
“Xiaoxiao, is your school always this… open?” Ling Ning stammered.
“That’s just an appetizer. I’ve seen way more intense stuff.”
Seeing Zhou Xiaoxiao’s excited expression, Ling Ning cleared her throat and said, “Enough. As intriguing as that is, have you forgotten the reason you asked me to come today?”
“Tch~”
Clicking her tongue, Zhou Xiaoxiao set a book on the table. “Fine. Let’s get started~”
“Mm.”
As Zhou Xiaoxiao pointed out the parts she didn’t understand, Ling Ning began explaining. However, Zhou Xiaoxiao’s slightly dazed gaze betrayed her lack of focus.
In truth, Zhou Xiaoxiao already knew these things. She had invited Ling Ning over for an entirely different reason.
At that moment, a pretty girl suddenly appeared beside them, catching both off guard and interrupting Ling Ning mid-sentence.
“Huh? Xiaoxiao, studying seriously?”
“Yeah, it’s a rest day, but that’s no excuse to slack off, right?”
Though Zhou Xiaoxiao appeared calm, inwardly, she was a bundle of nerves, worried the girl might recognize Ling Ning as an outsider.
Her concern was unnecessary. After a brief greeting, the girl left without further incident.
“Is she a friend of yours?” Ling Ning asked curiously.
“A friend… I guess you could call her that. Or perhaps it’s more accurate to say she’s trying to get close to me with ulterior motives,” Zhou Xiaoxiao replied, a faintly wistful look in her eyes.
“Huh? I didn’t expect you to be so popular at school, Xiaoxiao~”
“Correction: I’m quite popular among lolicon!”
“Uh…”
