Chapter 429 : Morals Fed to the Fishes!
“I’m done! Xiao Ya, your turn for the shower.”
Hearing Ling Ning’s voice, Su Ya snapped out of her thoughts. She turned her head toward Ling Ning, only to be greeted by the sight of her wrapped in a towel.
Lingering steam rose from her damp skin, accentuating her well-proportioned figure. Su Ya’s cheeks instantly flushed red.
Noticing Su Ya’s hesitation, Ling Ning chuckled. “Don’t worry, I won’t peek. Besides, we’re both girls. Even if I do take a look, it’s not a big deal, right?”
Blinking in surprise, Su Ya mulled over the logic of Ling Ning’s words. While they made sense, the situation still felt oddly embarrassing.
Feeling the damp clothes sticking to her skin, Su Ya finally nodded and walked into the bathroom.
Initially, she hadn’t planned to shower, but she remembered that her monthly visitor was due. Skipping a shower could lead to regret later. Moreover, Ling Ning was right—it wasn’t like there was any harm in being seen by another girl.
As Ling Ning sat on the bed drying her hair, she glanced at Su Ya’s hesitant silhouette and smiled. I’ve seen every inch of her before, even the birthmark on her thigh.
Entering the bathroom, Su Ya quickly realized how inconvenient it was. Even with the shower curtain drawn, she could clearly see Ling Ning’s figure sitting on the bed outside. Naturally, the reverse was also true—Ling Ning could easily see her.
Listening to the steady drizzle outside, Ling Ning judged that the rain wouldn’t stop anytime soon. At least there was no thunder; otherwise, she would have rushed home as fast as possible, knowing Xia You was waiting for her.
Before Ling Ning could finish drying her hair, Su Ya had already emerged from the bathroom.
“That was fast.”
Ling Ning remarked, glancing over her shoulder. She was genuinely surprised. Knowing Su Ya’s usual pace, she had expected at least thirty minutes.
I didn’t even get a chance to prepare for a peek—what a missed opportunity, Ling Ning thought.
Seeing Ling Ning’s expression of surprise, Su Ya felt a bit self-conscious. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. I just didn’t expect you to shower so quickly.”
Ling Ning laughed softly and gently pulled Su Ya toward the bed. Su Ya stiffened, her heart racing. The memory of Ling Ning kissing her before flashed through her mind, stirring a mix of apprehension and anticipation.
“I’ll help you dry your hair.”
“Eh!?”
“What else did you think I’d do?” Ling Ning teased, leaning closer with a mischievous grin. She whispered near Su Ya’s ear, “Unless… is that what you want, Xiao Ya?”
Feeling Ling Ning’s breath tickling her ear, Su Ya’s face turned even redder. “N-No, that’s not it!”
“Then what is it~?”
Ling Ning’s teasing tone deepened as she leaned in closer, her body brushing lightly against Su Ya’s. The conflicting emotions within Su Ya grew stronger—she wanted Ling Ning to stop, yet also wished she wouldn’t.
Amused by Su Ya’s conflicted expression, Ling Ning smiled and backed away. Taking the hairdryer, she began gently drying Su Ya’s hair.
Now that Su Ya’s potential boyfriend was out of the picture, Ling Ning had plenty of time to “bend” her to her will. Yet, an inexplicable sense of guilt lingered in her heart. Oh well, she thought, there’s no turning back now.
She wasn’t going to let anyone else have Su Ya.
As these thoughts ran through her mind, a faint, determined smile appeared on Ling Ning’s face—one that Su Ya, preoccupied with her nervousness, didn’t notice.
Once Su Ya’s hair was dry, she prepared to put on her clothes, only to realize that her undergarments were still soaked. There was no way she could wear them. But going commando? That wasn’t an option either.
“What’s wrong?”
“Um… Do you have any spare undergarments in that bag of yours?” Su Ya asked hesitantly, her face tinged with embarrassment.
Ling Ning froze for a moment before bursting into laughter. “Why would I have something like that?”
“Then… what do I do?”
Ling Ning had anticipated this situation. She walked over to the wardrobe, pulled out a set of lingerie, and tossed it to Su Ya.
This was no ordinary lingerie—it was of the lacy, risqué variety. Such items were standard fare in love motels, usually cheap and disposable. But for one-time use, it would suffice.
Su Ya stared at the garment in her hands, utterly bewildered. This is way too bold!
While she had seen such designs online, she had never imagined herself wearing one.
Compared to Su Ya’s hesitation, Ling Ning was entirely unfazed. Without a second thought, she began changing right in front of Su Ya. She had worn much more daring outfits before; this was nothing. After all, her dignity had long been metaphorically “fed to the fishes.”
“Besides,” Ling Ning thought aloud, “it’s not like anyone else will see this—it’s just underwear.”
Watching Ling Ning’s nonchalant demeanor, Su Ya was left speechless. After some internal struggle, she finally decided to wear the lingerie. Having something on was better than nothing, right?
Dressed in dry clothes, Ling Ning flopped onto the bed with a sigh. The day’s work had left her utterly exhausted. She felt no inclination to move.
“When will this rain stop?”
Su Ya mused aloud, her tone laced with frustration. If the rain continued, the dorm’s curfew would pass, leaving them stranded. Would they have to spend the night here?
Then again, staying here wasn’t such a bad idea. They didn’t have classes the next day, so there was no rush.
“Xiao Ya, isn’t your dorm’s curfew coming up?”
“Mm.”
“How about we make a run for the subway? It’s not too far, and the rain seems to have eased up. With an umbrella, it should be manageable. Or we could call a car instead.”
Su Ya considered the suggestion briefly before shaking her head. “Let’s not. Even if the rain has lessened, the wind is still strong. We’d just get soaked again. Since we don’t have class tomorrow, let’s just stay here for the night.”
“Alright~”
