Chapter 316 : The Real Issue Here is... Why Aren't You Dressed!
“This place feels so nostalgic…
Ling Ning sighed as she looked around at the familiar surroundings. She had grown up here and knew every plant, tree, and path. By her count, it had been over half a year since she’d moved out.
The reason she’d come back today was because her disciple, Jiang Xue, had called the night before, saying she had the day off and asking if Ling Ning could model for her. Ling Ning had promised to do so previously, so here she was, though she wondered if her disciple was even awake yet—she had arrived a bit early.
As Ling Ning walked up to her old apartment building, she unexpectedly ran into her former landlord—the same one who had once tried to “sponsor” her.
The landlord was in a foul mood, having just had another argument with his wife. He’d gone out for a walk to clear his head, only to run into a beautiful young woman outside. He approached her with a grin, but upon closer inspection, realized he knew her: it was Ling Ning, his former tenant.
Is she here to rent the apartment again? he wondered. He’d held a grudge ever since she’d sprayed him with pepper spray, and there was no way he’d rent to her again.
“Good morning, Landlord!” Ling Ning greeted him with a cheerful smile.
“Oh, if it isn’t Ling Ning! It’s been ages—why haven’t you stopped by?” he said with a forced smile, squinting as if just looking at her caused him pain.
“I’ve just been so busy,” she replied.
“Oh, I get it,” he said knowingly, eyeing her flashy appearance. She looked even more stunning than she had before she’d moved out—clearly, her “business” was doing well.
Noticing the sleazy gleam in his eye, Ling Ning knew he was misunderstanding things again, but she had no intention of explaining herself. His thoughts were his own problem.
“Well, don’t let me interrupt your walk,” she said, heading inside.
The landlord watched her go, baffled. Why was she back here? Does one of my tenants have her as a client? He couldn’t figure it out, so he shrugged it off and continued on his way, hopeful he might meet another beautiful girl.

Ling Ning climbed the stairs and finally reached Jiang Xue’s door. Though the place was nostalgic, she didn’t miss those stairs.
She knocked lightly and waited. Just as she was about to pull out her phone to call, she heard a thump from inside. She guessed her silly disciple had fallen out of bed again.
Sure enough, Jiang Xue had been sleeping soundly when she heard the knock. Instinctively, she rolled over to get up, forgetting she wasn’t in her old, bigger bed anymore. Two rolls later, she landed on the floor.
The jolt woke her up, and she wondered if falling out of bed so often would eventually flatten her already modest chest.
She shook her head, dismissing the thought. Grabbing a nightgown from her bedside table, she pulled it on as she walked to the door and called out, “Who is it?”
“Who do you think?”
At the familiar voice, Jiang Xue snapped awake, suddenly remembering she’d invited her Teacher to model today.
She flung the door open, revealing Ling Ning standing there with a stern expression.
“Teacher, I can explain! I was late getting up because… because… I was doing research last night and ended up going to bed late! Yeah, that’s it!” Jiang Xue said with conviction.
In truth, her “research” had involved staying up reading the latest chapters of her favorite artist’s racy manga, re-reading them several times until it was almost dawn. She knew if her Teacher found out the truth, she’d be done for.
Ling Ning shook her head, amused. She hadn’t even asked for an explanation, so why was Jiang Xue rambling?
With a sigh, she walked inside, but immediately froze. Clothes were strewn everywhere, items scattered across the floor, and there wasn’t even a clear place to stand. Ling Ning hadn’t expected the room to be such a mess—she remembered it being tidy the last time she’d visited.
“How could you let it get this messy? The place was spotless the last time I was here!”
Ling Ning figured Jiang Xue’s lessons from their friend Chen Ruo had involved more than just drawing techniques. Judging by this mess, Jiang Xue seemed to have also mastered her Teacher’s housekeeping “skills.”
Embarrassed, Jiang Xue scratched her head and laughed awkwardly. When she first moved in, she’d been diligent about cleaning—laundry every day, floors mopped and swept. But after starting work, she came home exhausted each day, so daily clean-ups became weekly, and now it was more like monthly.
Wait—hadn’t her last clean-up been over two months ago?
Carefully sidestepping the obstacles, Ling Ning made her way to the bed and sat down. She’d have preferred the chair, but it was occupied by a pair of strawberry-print panties.
Noticing this, Jiang Xue hastily grabbed the underwear, suddenly remembering she wasn’t wearing any herself.
It wasn’t by choice—her apartment was hot and had no air conditioning, just a small fan. Sleeping in clothes was unbearable, so going without had become a habit.
“Go wash up. I brought breakfast, and after that, you’ll tidy up this room. No excuses—I’ll help you.”
“Oh… okay…”
Seeing her Teacher’s serious expression, Jiang Xue abandoned her idea of objecting. She decided it was best to obey.
Jiang Xue had barely stepped into the bathroom when she remembered she’d forgotten something. She darted back out, pulled a bra from her closet, and hurried back to the bathroom.
This wasn’t the real issue, though. The real issue was that she’d only been wearing panties when she ran back out.
“Mya?”
