Chapter 415: DB-VFRBIV Chapter 409 Champa's Instant Face-Changing Act

Inside Universe 6’s observation room…

“Woohoo! That’s amazing, Broly! That’s it! Beat the crap out of everyone from the other universes!”

Watching the screen fill with brilliant light, Champa couldn’t contain his excitement and burst into cheers. Onscreen, Z Broly smashed through barrier after barrier, sweeping through his opponents with overwhelming force. First, he had taken care of the fighters from Universes 3 and 2, and then he’d knocked out the contestants from Universe 10.

And now, somehow, Broly had even managed to find the module containing Universe 7’s fighters.

But while Champa was still wondering how he’d pulled that off, he noticed something even more surprising in the Snowfield Module. Universe 7’s fighters weren’t the only ones there, there were also fighters from Universe 6.

And the most noticeable among them was Hit.

Champa’s thick eyebrows knitted together as suspicion spread across his face. He quickly turned toward Vados.

“Hey, Vados! Explain this to me! What the hell is going on? Why is Hit hanging around with those guys from Universe 7?”

Champa couldn’t understand it at all. Before the tournament, he had repeatedly warned every single one of his fighters to focus on taking down Universe 7. So how had things ended up like this?

Vados casually spread her hands, a faint smile on her face. “My, Lord Champa… I’m afraid I know nothing about that.”

Champa’s lips curled into a suspicious smirk as he stared at her. “Is that really true, Vados?”

Vados nodded without hesitation. “Of course, Lord Champa. If even you don’t know what’s happening, how could a mere servant like me possibly know?”

Champa wasn’t that easy to fool. The more he listened, the more he felt there was something strangely sarcastic about Vados’s tone.

‘Something’s wrong. She’s definitely hiding something from me!’

Champa’s eyes widened. “Damn it, Vados! Are you hiding something important from me?!”

Vados immediately let out a light laugh, her eyes sparkling with playful amusement. “My, my. Lord Champa truly is incredible. You’re simply too clever! To notice such a tiny detail so quickly… as expected of our great Lord Champa.”

Her voice sounded full of admiration, though there was just enough teasing beneath it to make the praise suspect. Unfortunately, Champa ate it right up.

He planted both hands on his hips, making his round belly stick out even farther, and raised his head proudly. His chin was practically pointing at the ceiling.

“Hahaha! Of course! This god possesses unparalleled wisdom and intelligence! How could something so trivial possibly escape my sharp eyes?”

The more Champa talked, the more pleased with himself he became, his voice growing louder as if he wanted everyone in the room to hear just how brilliant he was.

Then he suddenly snorted. His smug smile faded slightly as he narrowed his eyes at Vados.

“Wait a minute. Something’s still not right.” Champa stared at her. “Don’t think you can distract me with a little flattery, Vados! Now tell me the truth. What else are you hiding from me?”

Vados’s smile became even more mysterious. “Lord Champa… I wonder if you remember a certain occasion when you rather rudely interrupted me before I could finish speaking…”

At those words, Champa’s expression froze. He desperately searched through his memories as scenes from the past flooded his mind like a rushing tide. Finally, his thoughts stopped at the moment Caulifla and Kale had been eliminated.

He vaguely remembered Vados saying something back then.

“Lord Champa, actually Caulifla and the others haven’t…”

“I remember now!” Champa looked at Vados in confusion. “Vados, what were you trying to say back then?”

Vados remained perfectly calm, offering a gentle smile. “Mm. It seems you do remember, Lord Champa.”

She spoke slowly. “What I wanted to say was… Caulifla and Kale were never actually eliminated.”

Her calm tone carried information that struck like thunder.

“What?! Is that true?” Champa immediately leaned forward. “Then who saved them?”

Vados smiled. “Hit did.”

“I wonder if you noticed something, Lord Champa,” she continued. “Although our universe’s contestants appeared to be getting eliminated one after another, there was never an official announcement confirming their elimination.”

Champa’s eyes widened. “So that’s what it was… Are you saying they weren’t eliminated at all?”

“That’s correct.” Vados nodded. “In reality, Hit secretly transported every single one of them into a mysterious Space Prison.”

Champa frowned in thought. “But… why would Hit do something like that?”

Vados sighed softly. “Because Hit realized just how terrifying this Tournament of Power truly is. There are powerful warriors everywhere, and with his current strength, he wasn’t confident he could win alone. So he chose another path, he decided to form an alliance.”

“With whom?” Champa asked immediately.

Vados’s eyes sparkled with amusement. “The answer is Universe 7.” She smiled. “Among all the participating universes, Universe 7 is undoubtedly the strongest and most reliable ally. That’s why you’ve often seen Hit together with Trunks.”

“I see…” Champa rubbed his chin, his confusion deepening. “But why didn’t Hit tell me beforehand?”

Vados’s smile vanished, replaced by a serious expression. “Lord Champa, Hit was afraid you wouldn’t approve of his plan. So he chose to act first and explain later.”

Champa fell silent. He recalled everything that had happened before the tournament, remembering how clearly he had ordered his fighters to crush Universe 7 and show off the power of Universe 6.

But now… looking at everything Hit had done, it suddenly felt like it wasn’t betrayal at all. It was just another way of achieving the same goal.

A faint smile slowly spread across Champa’s face. He had to admit it, Hit had genuinely surprised him. More importantly, it had brought him an unexpected gift. The fighters he thought were already eliminated were actually still alive and in the running. That alone was incredible news.

The more Champa thought about it, the more reasonable Hit’s strategy seemed. The facts were right in front of him: Universe 7 had effortlessly defeated so many fighters from Universe 6, proving just how terrifying their strength truly was.

If that was the case… forming an alliance with Universe 7 might not be such a bad idea after all.

“Ah, Vados!” Champa suddenly laughed. “That Hit is really something! Thinking it over, I have to admit I didn’t consider things carefully enough in the beginning.”

As he spoke, his gaze drifted back toward the screen. There stood Z Broly, dominating the battlefield with overwhelming power.

Just a minute ago, Champa had been cheering wildly, hoping Broly would sweep through every opponent and wipe out Universe 7. But after learning about Hit’s carefully arranged plan… Champa’s attitude had completely flipped.

Now, from the bottom of his heart, he sincerely hoped Z Broly wouldn’t do anything too extreme to Trunks and the others.
