Aren't the Equipment Items Obtained Through Cheating?

Chapter 20 : Chapter 20

Chapter 20 : What Are You Showing Off For?

This area was filled with a strange, rotten stench. As the nesting ground of Parasitic Spiders, that was quite normal.

Besides, few places in the Dungeon smelled any better.

Several Parasitic Spiders were dragging the broken body of a Petrified Lizard. The creature desperately tried to grasp the stones on the ground, attempting to delay the moment of its death.

Its claws scraped against the stone floor, producing a grating sound that made one’s teeth ache.

The Petrified Lizard had not yet completely died. Its shattered chest cavity rose and fell faintly, and terror still lingered within its eye sockets.

Even monsters with very little intelligence struggled to survive.

Several spider legs that were in the process of parasitizing trembled as they slowly emerged from the corpse.

Pheromones spread through the air, transmitting the satisfaction of a successful parasitic invasion and the greed for fresh flesh.

Ahead, the other Parasitic Spiders were injecting their secreted paralyzing mucus into the wounds of another lizard. Its struggles gradually weakened.

Everything proceeded step by step, the parasitic process continuing methodically.

There was no need for vigilance. This dark corridor was their territory. Fear belonged to the prey.

Without any warning—

One Parasitic Spider that had just pierced its mouthparts into a lizard’s neck suddenly had the dark-patterned, hardened carapace on its body cave inward violently, as though struck by an invisible hammer.

The next moment, its entire body exploded outward from within!

Sticky green fluid mixed with shattered pieces of carapace sprayed outward in all directions, splattering onto nearby spiders and the rock walls.

Several Parasitic Spiders nearby were instantly burned by the corrosive body fluid, letting out sharp, piercing screeches.

All of the Parasitic Spiders fell into chaos.

In their understanding, this place should have been absolutely safe!

The sudden deaths threw them completely into panic.

Bang!

Another dull explosion echoed!

Another slightly larger Parasitic Spider had its upper body instantly transformed into a cloud of splattering green mist, while the remaining half of its segmented body twitched reflexively.

Bang! Bang!

The third explosion. The fourth!

Every explosive sound represented the complete death of another Parasitic Spider.

There was no source.

No warning.

Only the instant disappearance of their companions.

Fear of the unknown overwhelmed their predatory instincts.

The spider swarm that had previously dragged prey in orderly fashion completely lost control.

They abandoned the half-eaten lizard corpses at their mouths. Their legs flailed wildly. Some climbed upward blindly, while others squeezed into cracks in the rocks.

They had only one goal—escape.

Within the narrow corridor, chaotic screeching and the sticky sounds of splattering fluids instantly filled the air.

The appearance of an enemy was not frightening.

What was frightening was not even knowing where the enemy was!

Just as the chaos and panic were about to reach their peak, a figure suddenly crashed down like a meteor into the open space before the spider swarm!

BOOM!

A battle axe carrying devastating wind pressure smashed fiercely into the ground.

The rock shattered, and the shockwave blasted more than a dozen Parasitic Spiders of varying sizes into the air, crushing them instantly!

Viscous fluid and severed limbs splattered like rain!

“Hahahaha! Trash! Did you enjoy chasing me earlier?!

I will kill your damned ancestors!

Watch me slaughter all of you today!”

Hongxu’s wild laughter echoed through the corridor, overpowering all other screeches.

She gave the spider swarm no time to react. The massive double-bladed axe in her hands felt as light as a feather as she swung it faster and faster!

Behind her, Chenxi, hidden in the shadows, twitched the corner of his mouth.

Her language was not exactly clean.

There was no technique—only the pure release of overwhelming strength.

Wherever the blade of the axe reached, whether it was the parasitized bodies wrapped in dried Goblin skin that moved relatively quickly, the Parasitic Spiders dragging Petrified Lizards that specialized in defense, or even the grotesque true bodies of the Parasitic Spiders themselves…

All of them shattered like rotten wood!

Touch it and it breaks.

Brush against it and you die.

CRACK! SPLASH!

The sounds of cracking carapaces and spraying fluids echoed continuously. Facing the Parasitic Spiders that were gradually surrounding her, Hongxu’s eyes contained only madness and excitement.

One particularly large Parasitic Spider attempted to launch a sneak attack from the side.

Hongxu swung her axe backward with a single strike.

SPLAT!

It instantly turned into spider paste.

After discovering the enemy, the Parasitic Spiders were no longer panicking. Instead, they began charging toward Hongxu in a frenzy.

This was exactly what Hongxu wanted to see.

Her eyes shone with excitement.

As expected of the Boss!

His guess was completely accurate.

If he had continued firing from the shadows, these Parasitic Spiders would have fled.

Only when the “enemy hidden in the darkness” appeared directly before them would they throw themselves into battle without hesitation.

And only then could they all be completely exterminated!

Out of the corner of her eye, she glanced at her breastplate.

What an absurd piece of equipment!

Acid, spider silk, spider claws—every attack was completely ineffective!

Not a single point of damage could be dealt to her. Even her other equipment seemed to have become much stronger!

When the acid splashed onto the armor, it only left faint marks.

Fighting felt incredible!

“Is that all you have?! Use the same strength you used when chasing me!”

With a roar, she swung her axe again.

The cave wall ahead was cleaved open by force!

Inside were countless tiny spiders. Those small Parasitic Spiders panicked and attempted to escape.

Hongxu grinned.

“Trying to run?!”

Her grip slid down the handle of the axe until she grasped the very end. She planted the weapon into the ground and stepped forward violently.

Then she swung her arm with full force!

The entire double-bladed axe cut through the air with a piercing howl, tracing a perfect arc!

BOOM!

The violent pressure crushed all the tiny spiders that had no means of defending themselves.

Many of the surviving Parasitic Spiders let out miserable screams.

But neither Chenxi nor Hongxu showed the slightest trace of pity.

Seriously?

You nearly killed us yesterday, and now you expect sympathy?!

In the Dungeon, there was no sympathy.

Only the law of the jungle.

Just as Hongxu was in the middle of her slaughter, splitting another Parasitic Spider that blocked her path, a cold aura suddenly surged from the deepest darkness of the tunnel!

“SKREE—!”

A sharp screech pierced the air, loud enough to rupture eardrums, drowning out all other noise.

The fleeing Parasitic Spiders froze instantly, trembling in fear. Then they retreated to the rock walls on both sides like a tide, clearing the central passage.

Two eerie green lights appeared in the darkness.

Moments later, an enormous figure slowly crawled forward.

The body, more than two meters tall, was covered with thick armor that was deep purple, almost black.

As its mouthparts opened and closed, dark purple mucus dripped down, corroding the rock beneath its feet and releasing wisps of smoke.

Its cold gaze locked directly onto Hongxu in the center of the corridor.

Hongxu licked her lips excitedly.

In the distance, Chenxi silently took out a golden bullet and pressed it into the chamber.

He aimed.

“Hiss…”

Bang!

Taking advantage of the moment it roared, the bullet pierced through its skull.

In the next instant, the axe blade followed!

Chenxi calmly reloaded another bullet.

“What are you showing off for? If one shot cannot kill it, then that is a defective round.”

Bang!

Hongxu kicked the still-twitching body of the Parasitic Spider King aside with annoyance.

Was that all?

She had thought she could enjoy a proper fight.

Instead, her boss had instantly killed it.

Trash.

Chenxi stepped out from the shadows. Two daggers appeared in his hands.

“Hongxu, finish the rest.”

The remaining trash was not worth wasting bullets on.

“Kill! Kill! Kill!”
