Boosted Continuation

Sophia returned home, told her friends why she was sick and how she suddenly got stronger, and introduced Lime to them. Naturally, everyone was so confused that they couldn't even decide on what was the most shocking part, though Chloe and the wolves were especially vocally about her getting so much stronger.

"Are you able to do any new cool things now, or are you mostly just more powerful?" After lots of explaining, the group took it easy for the rest of the days, and Sophia had another good night’s sleep to make sure she was fully back to normal. On the following day, the group finally returned to the monster country to continue their search for the griffins, when Steph got curious about whether her sister had learned any new tricks.

“I’m actually not quite sure.” The blonde scratched her cheek. “Mira said I can create new biomes in my domain nearly instantly now, so that is great. My powers are a lot more destructive, too, as can be seen in the part of her domain where I turned a forest into obsidian.”

“How do you turn a forest into obsidian?” Ari looked rather confused.

“When you accidentally use too much magic and delete the trees and melt the ground so hard it turns into black glass.”

“Wow.” The jaguar sounded impressed.

“I knew you’d like that.” Sophia just had to do it as she smirked at her.

“Shush!” The pyromaniac rolled her eyes in return.

“Hehe.”

“Will you be able to create a working sky in your domain now?" Anna also became interested in the blonde's improved powers. “I’d love to get our savanna ready for animals!”

“I highly doubt it, but I’ll definitely do some experimenting.” The shorter tiger scratched her cheek. “Maybe I can also come up with a better way to fake it, but no promises yet.”

“I look forward to it!”

“Speaking of experimenting!” Sophia suddenly raised her voice as she moved in front of everyone while they were walking on the dry plain. “I’ve been wanting to do it for a while already, but I didn’t have the reserves to do so. However, with my explosive growth now, I’m more than happy to boost everyone’s magic by a fair bit. I’m not sure how much yet, obviously not as much as I gained, but I’ll be quite generous~.”

“ME! ME! ME!” Fen’s massive statue basically appeared in front of Sophia because he changed positions so fast, while his tail was wagging so quickly that Steph's paled in comparison. “Now, please!”

“Someone’s excited, huh?” She petted his fluffy head while letting out a chuckle. “Sure thing, but can you wait until tonight? It’s a bit of a tiring process for both of us, and I want to travel a bit more today. I’ve been in bed for a week and itching to run around.”

“I’ll try to manage…” He wasn’t too stoked about that.

“Can I even get boosted?” Aura tilted her head. “According to Mira, I already reached the limit of magic after all.”

“You have already far passed it.” Sophia shook her head. “Thanks to using so much magic in my domain. Here, in the regular world, you won’t get stronger, but you’ll be able to use magic for longer. Just like Kel, just without being sparkly. Unfortunately.” She would like to see her sparkly.

“Ohh!” The female wolf liked that. “I’ll graciously accept the offer, but I’ll leave looking fabulous to Kel, though.”

“Too bad.” She pouted over it for a bit.

“Does the offer also stand for Ari and me?” The princess sounded a little hesitant when asking.

“Of course!” Sophia showed her a bright smile. "Percentage-wise, I was planning to give you the biggest boost to get you closer to the others. Only if you want to, of course.”

“I would love to!” Anna’s eyes started sparkling. “I’ve been hitting my limit a lot lately when helping with the biomes, so this would be so much fun! Thank you!”

"Personally, I'm still really pleased with the initial boost you gave me last year, but I also don't want to stray too far away from Anna’s magic.” Ari scratched her cheek. “If I remember right, it also affects one’s health and life expectancy, right? I don’t want to differ from her in those aspects! It would be great if I could get the same power up even though it will probably make me stand out even more…” Her voice slightly trailed off towards the end.

“Sure things~.” The blonde gave them a thumbs-up before smiling at Maya. “You can obviously have however much you want, by the way!”

“That’s very sweet of you.” The cat-girl smiled back at her. “I don’t think I need more, but it’s also hard to say no. Especially if everyone else gets more. Also, Anna topping me is unacceptable. Even if we’re just talking about magic power.”

“Hey!” The princess raised her voice. “Why me specifically?!”

“I think that’s self-explanatory.” She reacted with a small chuckle.

“It definitely is.” Ari nodded a few times.

“HEY!” Anna got even louder. “I top you plenty of times!”

"I can't put into words how much I love this group." Steph was having a great time. "How are the magic supplies looking for your little sister, by the way?" She then turned her attention to Sophia while looking at her with sparkling puppy eyes.

“I wouldn’t exclude you.” The blonde rolled her eyes. “Although, you first need to check in with Mira to see if you’re compatible with my magic because she has gifted you hers. The same goes with Chloe, as she is her daughter, and you already boosted her with your magic. Who knows if that caused some compatibility issues?"

“Fair enough.” The dog-girl could follow her logic. “Though, aren't we planning to do the same with the family? You gifting her magic, and I topping them off that, is."

“Yeah, but that’s me doing it first with Canir’s magic, who is kind of blank, while Mira’s magic is attuned to this world or whatever, I can’t say I understand. I think it’s better to make sure. I don’t want to hurt you or Chloe.”

“Okay!” She had no intention of arguing there.

“Thank you very much for considering me, too.” Chloe reacted with a gentle smile in her direction. “Are you okay with sharing your magic, though? I mean, you just got such a massive buff, but you immediately want to give all of us some of it?”

“It’s absolutely fine~.” The blonde matched her smile. “Even if I double Aura’s authority and match you all, I… uhh, I’m not going to do any math, but if I have 52 times or 45 times the power I had last week, it won’t make a noticeable difference to me. However, all of you will be able to have sooo much more fun!"

“I guess it won’t really matter at that point, huh?” The pink fox saw where she was coming from. “Then, thank you very much!”

“We’ll be known as a group of menaces on the demon continent, won’t we?” Anna lightly scratched her cheek. "With how strong all of us will be and stuff."

“I’m quite confident in saying that a power-up changes nothing there.” Ari just looked at her. “That would’ve been our titles regardless of that.”

“Not wrong.” Anna couldn’t argue with that.

“Is it such a good idea for you to give us that much power right before we head to the demon continent, though?” Chloe tilted her head while thinking about it.

“What do you mean?” Sophia looked confused.

“Well, if all of us stand out more, thanks to being powerful, you might be a little less in the center of attention with the demons. Is that really okay for you?”

“Shut up.” She didn’t appreciate that.

“You don't have to worry about that, my dear.” Aura winked at the fox. “She still has many times more magic than all of us combined afterward, so no demon will even look at us.”

“Ohh, I see!”

“It also looks like I’ll lose a little less magic, too!” Sophia started pouting before glaring at the female wolf specifically, as she could imagine that Chloe was actually just earnestly asking. “After all, Aura doesn’t seem like she wants any additional boost from me.”

“I AM VERY SORRY!” The sass in her voice was immediately replaced with panic.

“You really need to learn when to tease and when not.” Fen slowly shook his head in response.

“Like you’re one to talk in that regard.” The blonde changed his attention to him.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” He sounded offended. “I’m by far your biggest fan!”

“No, that would be me.” Maya disagreed with him.

“I’m the biggest fan who she doesn’t sleep with!” He lightly corrected himself.

“That very much depends on your definition of sleeping.” Sophia let out a small chuckle while smiling at him. “After all, I took many naps with and on you.”

“You know exactly what I mean.” He simply stared back at her.

“Hehe.” She liked his reply. “Don't worry, you’ll get your magic boost.”

“Thank you very much!” His tail was rivaling Steph’s again.

“Alright, let’s do some more exploring!” Sophia raised her arm high in the air. “Aura, you'd better find us a griffin or two if you want to reclaim your magic boost~.”

“Okay, let’s turn that way then.” Sounding rather confident, the female wolf gestured to her left.

Since they had no other plans, the group decided to follow her as they traveled further into the monster country.
