Chapter 115: Anticipated Entrance
"Lights!"
The director yelled.
"Camera!"
The lens focused.
"Action!"
Clap—!
The actors in the class instantly got into character as the atmosphere in the classroom shifted, turning tense.
The teacher, in a stern voice, reprimanded, "Is this your level? Why do all of you act so stiff? Have I not taught you to let the audience feel your emotions through your acting?"
He, shaking his head with a disappointed expression, continued, "You all are really hopeless."
He swept his gaze on them one by one.
"Some of you," his gaze rested on Luke Wartz, played by Tyler. "Act over-confidently, exaggerating your expressions."
Luke looked away awkwardly, not daring to match the professor’s gaze.
"Some of you," his gaze drifted to Luke’s right, to the girl in a white tshirt and blue jeans, the poor Ava Baker. "Are severely underconfident, as if you will die the next second. What are you even afraid of?"
Ava lowered her head in shame, her shoulders trembling nervously.
"Meanwhile, some of you," he narrowed his eyes at Lisa’s character, Elise. "Have talent but don’t want to put in the required effort."
Lisa acted as if she were being wronged, as if the teacher blamed her for something she didn’t do.
"Why?..." he looked at the ceiling with a helpless expression. "Why is there no genius like Klis Ether among you?"
He sighed, looking at them, "If only you had half of his talent, you—"
Knock. Knock.
Instinctively, everyone’s gaze went to the door as the knob rotated, swinging the door inwardly.
Since the individual was standing hidden from the camera’s and the students’ gazes behind the door, only the teacher was able to see who it was.
As soon as he saw him, he showed a peculiar reaction.
His eyes widened in surprise for a moment before he calmed down and smiled at the individual. "What brings you here?"
Since he was a veteran actor, he was able to focus on the scene instead of being affected by Aren’s appearance.
"Professor Richard, I’m here to make an announcement." The voice was calm, steady, and polite.
Whoever the individual was, he didn’t seem nervous by Professor Richard’s strict persona, nor did he seem to consider the announcement a big deal.
It was as if this was just an everyday task for him.
Many students recognized the individual’s voice, while a few remained clueless and curious about the man’s identity.
"Please come in, student council president." Richard gave a friendly smile, something the students hadn’t seen him do to anyone.
Kluck. Kluck. Kluck.
The calm footsteps echoed in the quiet classroom as the figure walked inside, making his way to the announcement board with a poster in his hands.
Unfurling the large-sized poster, he pasted it on the board with pins, allowing every student to see what it was.
He then turned to face the students, his face finally visible to them.
The students, previously focusing on the poster, now were forced to look at that devilishly handsome face.
Some were taken aback by his beauty.
Some were dazed.
And some felt their heart flutter.
"I’m Klis Ether, your senior and the student council president." He announced, his posture confident, his hands clasped behind his back. "I’ll make this announcement short."
"Your drama department will participate in the prestigious Blemure City Drama competition and represent our university. If you manage to win, many casting directors will be waiting to cast you. Moreover, the winners will receive a production budget and support from Sun Films to film and air their drama. So..."
While Klis continued to name the benefits, the students continued to stare at him as if he was some candy. Even Lisa felt surprised realizing how handsome he looked, feeling the urge to keep staring at him.
Ava Baker, however, didn’t hide her feelings for him, staring at him with a smitten expression. It was her character.
She was supposed to be in love with Klis Ether, finding him of a similar level to her financial status, and his hardworking nature alongside his overwhelming talents and looks had enraptured her like the other girls of the university.
Only Tyler, playing the role of Luke Wartz, didn’t hide his contempt for Klis. He had also been surprised by his appearance, feeling that he truly lost in terms of looks to Aren.
However, he knew that his years of experience would surely allow him to win in terms of acting.
Thus, he felt that Aren was superficial, and others who were getting spellbound by his angelic appearance were fools.
Fortunately, his true feelings matched with his character, Luke Wartz.
Luke Wartz was a second-generation rich kid. He understood that no matter how great Klis was, he would always be beneath him.
Either he will end up working in a corporate company or maybe end up somewhere else.
Meanwhile, he, on the other hand, will become one of the most powerful men in the business world.
How could this poor Klis Ether compare?
He might even end up as his employee in the future, working at his beck and call.
"That is all." Klis Ether finished his announcement at this moment and turned to leave.
However, immediately, Professor Richard stood up, "Wait, Klis!"
Klis stopped and turned as the professor approached him.
"Klis, will you show them how to act?" He implored. "Maybe after witnessing your great acting, they will know what I want from them."
Klis looked at the professor before silently glancing at the students.
He then nodded. "Alright, Professor Richard. Give me a scene."
Suddenly, the students shifted, their expressions turning serious.
This scene was without dialogues, and the actor had to portray the scene only with his acting ability.
They could finally witness Aren’s acting ability.
Even Tyler was looking forward to it.
This would show him Aren’s acting level and help him discern how good he was compared to him.
"Your scene is," Richard informed.
"You were hiding in your wife’s closet to surprise her on her birthday, but she comes in with her coworker from the office. And then you see her cheating on you with him."
