    That year, Ortoren enlisted as a fresh recruit, his head full of ambition—dreaming of rising through the ranks and seeing the world for himself.
    Years later, Ortoren became commander of G-5, leading nearly eighty thousand elite frontline Marines. By then, loyalty was all he had left to cling to.
    Later still, he rose to Admiral of Marine Headquarters, entrusted with overseeing the New World. With hundreds of thousands under his command, his power rested on one simple truth:
    “The Five Elders praise my loyalty and courage, and Fleet Admiral Sengoku treats me as if I were his own son.”
    In time, Ortoren commanded armies numbering in the millions. At his word, the seas themselves seemed to tremble.
    One day, as he walked through Marine Headquarters, a group of officers suddenly surrounded him. They overpowered him—the strongest man on the seas—and draped a yellow robe across his shoulders.
    “It’s cold, Admiral,” they said. “You should wear something warmer.”
    Looking into the earnest eyes of those officers, Ortoren let out a long, weary sigh.
    “After all these years of loyalty, my name is ruined in an instant. You’ve truly done me in.”
